3.75 Was looking for a quick bite in the area and found Brine on the map. In the 14th St Highline/Chelsea Market area. Close to the E train station. Fast casual place. Ordered at one of the kiosks, can see options like different chicken preparations, sides etc and if any addtl charge. Seating available. FYI - Happy hour daily for salads and bowls everyday 2-5pm. I got the Spicy Chicken salad - with their signature pulled chicken, greens, coleslaw, spQicy onion strings. Good portion. The chicken flavor though is not for me. My sons got tenders and fries (generous amount) and chicken salad sandwich. They liked what they got. For just $1, added a drink to our meals. But, the fountain drinks didn't taste good like the lemonade and the soda was flat. There is a Restroom.

I have ordered from Brine several times through work and it never disappoints! The chicken is a good portion, with thigh and drumstick together with a fresh serving of broccoli and rice over a slice of white bread, which helps to absorb the moisture. I really enjoy ordering from Brine whenever I see this option come up!

Chicken Salad sandwich with fries (Around $14 before tax, $15 with drink)

Looking for food around the area, and decided to try this place out. The space was good, and had plenty of seats for small groups. I ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich, which came with plenty of fries, and you can add a fountain drink to it for only $1. The sandwich was tasty, and I enjoyed the crunchy lettuce and other toppings on it as well. The fries were crunchy, had a good amount of salt, and it came with plenty of them, enough that 2 people could reasonably split them. The food came out rather quickly, and the staff was nice. The only complaint that I have was that the fountain drinks came out from the dispenser warm, and it had a bit of a funky taste to it. Overall, I had a good time here, and would definitely come back again.

Stumbled upon this chicken spot because my partner use to order from here pre pandemic. It did not disappoint. I got the MSG Sandwich, highly recommend. It was juicy and saucy. My partner got Spicy Umami, not as much zest as the MSG, but good nonetheless. The employees were very nice. The dining area has about 40 seats varying from booths, hightop and long table.

We had been walking around NYC all morning and decided it was time to stop for lunch. We could all agree on chicken and Brine fit the bill! The grilled chicken breast was juicy and flavorful. The fries were crispy. The charred broccoli had great flavor. This was a great spur of the moment pick! You put in your order on a kiosk, which is great because it gives you time to review the options and you can customize your order. The staff calls your number when your food is ready. There was plenty of indoor seating. They also had a soda fountain where you could get free refills which is a plus. It was very clean and comfortable inside the restaurant.

I don't spend a lot of time in Manhattan these days, but when I have to head in for whatever reason, I find an abundance of excellent fast casual options. Brine may be the best of the breed. This is good food for a good price, served quickly. For lunch in NYC, you really can't ask for more than that. It should be noted that Brine's "Signature Thigh" is actually a leg. It's a big one, and it's juicy as hell. The skin isn't exactly crisp, but the fat is rendered and it's saucy and flavorful. I personally preferred the jalapeño sauce to the red buttermilk option, but because this chicken has been brined properly, it honestly didn't need either. The sides are also well-conceived, and well-executed too. I opted for the charred broccoli and grilled sweet potato, both delicious, especially with a little cheese dumped on top. There was actual spice and flavor involved in all the food served here, and I was grateful enough that I didn't stop to wonder why all kitchens can't make this happen. Although, now I'm wondering. In any case, Brine is a great spot to pick up a very tasty chicken lunch. If it matters to you, you should know you're going to order it via touch screen, where you can pick and choose from all the different options, and tip as well. This is now a world where we tip before we receive our meals. Why? I'm not going to litigate that here. I just like the chicken.

I came here for lunch one day. I ordered a head of time and went to pick up my order. The restaurant was bright and spacious. It had two kiosks to order and a large font menu on the wall with the kiosks. I waited a few minutes before the clerk was alerted to my presence. They checked and my order wasn't ready. It took a few minutes before my order was ready. I ordered three pieces of the buttermilk tenders and crinkle cut french fries. I wasn't sure about the sauces so I waited until I got there to ask for a suggestion. The food came out after 10 minutes or so. I was surprised on how hefty and heavy the container was. I asked for some suggestions and I got honey mustard and a smoky chili sauce. When I got to my office, I was surprised on how big the tenders were! They were definitely one of the biggest I ever had. The tenders were crispy and juicy. The only thing I didn't like is that I ate a bit of gristle or cartilage in two of the tenders. The other tender I was saving for another meal. The fries were tasty but I wish they had a bit more of seasoning to it. I was surprised to find a small triangle of toast that was okay. I wasn't sure what it was there but I love toast so I ate it. I thought the chili sauce was okay. But I was surprised on how much I loved the honey mustard. It was so delicious! I wish the container was bigger because even though I got two, it wasn't enough.

I did take it out of the wrapper for the picture, but suggest you keep the wrapper on as it gets messy to eat. The spices and flavor is delicious and the chicken is crispy and tender. It's a great Nashville hot chicken sandwich overall. While the claw is insta-worthy, it's not quite worth the extra $4 (plus you can't really even eat it, so it's all for show). And let's just say... the house won. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Wings, Fries, and the 3-sauce flight. The sandwich? Dry, old, and looking like it clocked out an hour before I arrived. The chicken itself was hard on the edges and somehow soggy in the center -- a combination I didn't even know was possible. The mayo situation looked like someone whispered the word "sauce" over the bun and walked away. The Spicy Wings were no better -- overcooked, dark, and tasted like they'd been sitting in the warmer since lunchtime. Not spicy. Not fresh. Just... tired. The fries? Burnt, cold, and absolutely done with life. They didn't even pretend to try. The only thing that saved this meal from being a total loss was the 3-sauce flight. Credit where it's due -- the sauces were actually solid. They added enough flavor and moisture to make the rest at least edible. Without them, this review would've ended a lot sooner. I get it -- it's Penn Station, it's late, everyone's hustling, and the crowd is nonstop. But even with that, freshness shouldn't be optional. Overall: If you're starving and desperate, grab the sauces and hope for the best. Otherwise? Keep walking. There are better options within the same block, even during off-hours. Go to Gardenia.
