Large Fries, chicken sandwich with Banza Mac
    Elaine M.

Deux Luxe was opened by two sisters with celiac family and they take great care to ensure all their food is delicious and safe. I came here for their February collaboration sandwich and it was very tasty, and so crispy for a gluten free chicken sandwich. I did wish the fries were crispier, but I enjoyed their sauce. The interior of the restaurant is small with only a few seats, so I recommend going with a smaller group if you want to eat in

Taylor's Tayke: Deux Luxe is a burger concept built around quality, simplicity, and accessibility. The name itself comes from the French word Deux meaning "two," paired with Luxe for luxury. What started in Westchester quickly gained a following before expanding to Brooklyn in May 2025. One of the most interesting things about the brand is its connection to the Knicks. Josh Hart, who lived near the original location, became a fan of the burgers and eventually collaborated with the team to create his own signature burger. The restaurant has since earned recognition from both Time Out and Food & Wine as one of the top burger destinations in New York City. For anyone who eats gluten-free, Deux Luxe is especially worth noting. Much of the menu is gluten-free, with chicken sandwiches breaded using gluten-free cornflakes rather than traditional breadcrumbs. You can tell there's a genuine effort to create food that everyone can enjoy. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: The Shannon -- Double wagyu beef patties, gruyère cheese, black truffle aioli, and freshly shaved black truffle. Rich, juicy, cheesy, and decadent without feeling overwhelming. The truffle flavor comes through nicely and complements the wagyu extremely well. The Josh Double wagyu beef patties, fried egg, crispy hash brown, bacon, cheddar cheese, ketchup, and garlic aioli. The hash brown and bacon are the stars here. The burger delivers great texture and portion size, with every bite packed with flavor. The burger and egg could have been a little more prominent, but everything still works together well. Slightly saltier than The Shannon, but still a very enjoyable burger. Gluten-Free Brown Butter & Oat Cookie You can definitely taste the difference compared to a traditional cookie, but in a good way. The combination of oats and butter gives it a unique flavor profile that stands on its own rather than feeling like a compromise. The Experience: Unlike restaurants trying to do everything, Deux Luxe keeps its focus narrow: burgers and chicken sandwiches. That focus shows in the execution. Every component feels intentional, from the wagyu patties to the specialty buns and signature toppings. Best For: Burger lovers, casual lunch dates, Knicks fans, gluten-free diners, and anyone looking to try one of NYC's most talked-about burger spots. In Conclusion: Between the quality wagyu, thoughtful burger creations, and commitment to gluten-free accessibility, it's easy to understand why Deux Luxe has developed such a loyal following. The Shannon is the standout for me, while The Josh offers a fun collaboration burger with plenty of personality behind it. If you're on the hunt for one of New York's best burgers, this is a spot worth adding to your list. Stamped by Elajas

This spot offers a solid gluten free burger option. The bun tastes GF and the food doesn't come out that quickly, but the patties and burger overall were good. All of the cookies in the front are GF as well, individually wrapped - respect the effort. The fries are just OK, but the sauces are great. Cute seating right at the front of Little Italy if you can grab a seat. No bathrooms.

I'm a little torn on Deux Luxe. The food was truly delicious. There were a couple issues, though. The guy at the counter was a bit too forward and told me not to even bother trying anything but a couple things on the menu, which was odd. Also, the cost just is a bit too high, even if the food is great. It feels like a fast casual burger at $20 is a bit too steep to have again. All that said, if you haven't tried the food here, you should. Just be prepared for a very high price.

We decided to try this place today. We ordered online (10%off) and I came at the pick up time to store. It's very small place with very limited seats (all been occupied). People At register been extremely friendly and helpful. My burgers been seating at the counter and been waiting for a fries. Will start with the good- I like packaging and that burgers been cuted for 2 pieces, that it's perfect for sharing. Original was very good and soft. Big Mac was great too. And I liked fries. Big minus that burgers was barely hot, almost cold and I pick up at the right time and it wasn't delivery (we eated them immediately like in front of the store). That was very sad

i was pretty excited to try out deux luxe especially given the recent acclamations and fanfare it's received (best burger in nyc?). i'm a big fan of a simple smash burger as well as wagyu, so the burgers here sound like the best of both worlds. what i loved: - mozzarella sticks!!!!!! would come back just for this. and the breading is gluten free! ugh! amazing. - sooo many sauce and aioli options! what i wish i loved more: - round cut fries weren't as crispy as i expected, but im also more of a shoestring girl so just a personal preference - while the classic burger was tasty, i would've preferred the meat to be cooked more. i saw other reviewers also mention that they would've liked a little bit of a char on their burger and i am obliged to agree. although it was wagyu, the texture was too mushy to be enjoyed as a burger. i think a pink middle is good for steaks, but burgers should be somewhat firm and retain its patty shape. - my friend ordered the limited truffle burger and it was just extremely salty! we were disappointed by this one unfortunately the vibe here is cool with a slightly retro aesthetic, with merch, stickers, and art available for purchase. not sure i'd come back often since it was a bit pricey for the portion, but all in all a decent meal.

I'm quite perplexed by the lower reviews because my experience was 5 stars. The interior is quite small but the high quality beef burgers make it completely worth it. Staff were very friendly, checking in on me by name during my meal to see if I needed anything. Since it was a super hot day, they treated me to a cold lemonade slushy and I politely passed on the fries. My only regret is not ordering the classic full size burger.

I might be missing the hype here but I had high expectations given this is marketed as the best NYC burger on Time Out. Ordered their classic and the Nolita spicy vodka chicken mozzarella burger. Was disappointed with their classic - the wagyu patties had no flavor to me and I was questioning whether the patties were boiled or perhaps steamed? We added caramelized onions in it and honestly glad we did because that was all we tasted. The vodka chicken burger was certainly better - more flavorful, hint of spice and definitely a great cheese pull. I did leave the restaurant feeling unsatisfied. The service however was excellent. I was eyeing the mozz sticks - they're massive but didn't get the chance to try.

Marketed as the newest burger sensation in NYC, so I tried it... maybe a wannabe Shake Shack? I don't see anything new or upgraded with their selections. The place is quite small. While the burgers, still tasty tho. Tried their au poivre burger, which I thought is overpriced. But still tasty. My friend loved his veggie burger too. I'll try some of their other burger selections too when I come back.

I was intrigued by the idea of a wagyu fast causal burger and popped in here on a Monday night. You can order at 1 of 2 kiosks or order with a really friendly staff member - super helpful in the difference and size of the burgers. I got the Deux Luxe Jr ($13) with a sesame bun and just 1 patty - it was plenty for me! Overall a clean good burger that wasn't too oily like so many smash burgers are these days. I personally couldn't really taste a major difference in the patty and the textures sort of combined together. Still tasty but I was hoping for more. The interior is SUPER cute and had old school diner vibes - easy to eat in!

This burger tasted like it was cooked in a janitor's closet using leftover mop water. Calling it "wagyu" should be a crime--no char, no seasoning, zero salt, just bland, gray disappointment. The patty had the texture of boiled regret, and someone apparently lost a fight with a bucket of mayo because it was everywhere. Sloppy, soggy, greasy in the worst way. Nothing about this was indulgent, elevated, or even edible-adjacent. Just a wet, flavorless mess that ruined my appetite and my mood. Absolute trash. Would not feed this to an enemy. Looks better on the way out.

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.
