Outstanding food and service! The menus are full of delicious surprise. They also cater and do a fantastic job! 5 Stars!

So good. We just dropped in and they were so accommodating. I would recommend making a reservation because it is a small place. The staff was accommodating and really went out of their way to find us comfortable seating. The food was so good, my husband who is not a chicken lover was so happy with his chicken sandwich (I wish I had gotten the actual name of the sandwich) he said he would order it again. My FIL loved his Shrimp Arugula salad. He couldn't stop eating it. My quiche was excellent so delicious , a blend of the ham, cheese and eggs with a flaky crust, and the soup was also delicious and creamy. I wish I had tried one of their lattes they looked so good. They had a steady stream of customers so they are busy. Try them out. read more

My wife found it by looking for a place to stop for lunch halfway in our four hour drive, and boy am I glad. We sat in their lovely tree shaded garden and had terrific, creative sandwhichs, and the blueberry lemonade was amazing, with just the right mix of lemon tartness and blueberry flavor. The staff, including Anthony, the owner, was friendly without the super-sweet affect that's so common in restaurants, and the service was great. read more

Amazing find for brunch, lunch and high tea! I was so pleased with their bahn mi sandwiches, fresh baked sticky buns, jam, leek soup etc. I wish they hadn't run out of French toast otherwise I could have added it to my list of favorites! Everything was made just right. The sandwich wasn't spicy which I liked yet still have lots of flavor and was light. The pastries were all not too overly sweet and paired well the cappuccino. I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting a new place to have brunch or grab a quick lunch. I'll definitely be back for the high tea on Wednesday! read more

Doesn't seem like the same quality at the Fennimore Museum. My sandwich was bland. And everyone I was with tried some baked goods, and we all came to the same conclusion that all we could taste was sugar. read more

Good service in a small cafe. We were strongly advised to go by several people in town. Based on those recommendations it was ok. I was expecting way more, but the latte and quiche and salad were ok. The building used to be a house so it's got a quirky interior. Nice selection of baked goods. read more

Amazing food, welcoming atmosphere, pretty garden, bright indoor space - dine indoors or out! It's hard to choose a favorite, but the Brimstone BLT on a fresh baked brioche is legendary. The Grilled Mediterranean Salad - either chicken or shrimp - is another standout, with fresh made hummus! Refreshing blueberry basil lemonade in the spring/summer, tasty chipotle hot chocolate in the cool weather makes visiting Brimstone a year round lunch spot, especially with their one of a kind seasonal soups. For an extra special treat, try a slice of cake or even better, order one for your birthday - divine. The blueberry oatmeal cookies deserve an award too. Above and beyond is the warm and attentive service. Anthony and his crew are exceptional. 1000 stars. read more

Hadn't heard of this place but the usual spot our family goes to when we're in the area happened to be closed. The atmosphere, service and food were all exceptional. We will definitely be retuning next time we're in the area. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable about my gluten allergy and was very helpful in accommodating the whole family. read more

My. Partner and I were passing through town, and were recommended this place for lunch. Definitely worth it. Everybody we dealt with was beyond friendly and helpful. we each had a slice of the diced ham and cheddar quiche. Rich, delicious, a decent sized slice, and the crust was very flaky. I also had the quinoa salad. The quinoa was perfectly done, and I loved the pistachios that were in it. They added flavor and crunch. My friend had the orange pekoe iced tea, and I had the Arnold Palmer. They were obviously done with a good quality tea, because they did not need any sugar. They were perfect. for dessert, we had the ginger cake with cherries on top. My partner also had whipped cream on top of hers, and she loved it. The cake was moist, delicious, and the cherries just had the right amount of tartness. again, a very generous sloce. The price was extremely reasonable, and we would definitely come back again. Thank you. read more

Today we stopped at the Brimstone Bakery after a visit to the Beekman 1802 shop in Sharon Springs. What a wonderful gem of a cafe and BAKERY! We had a slice of lump crabmeat quiche, a spinach mushroom quiche, a side of quinoa fig salad and a cold potato leek soup accompanied by a fabulous blueberry blended iced tea. The quiches were light and airy and loaded with flavor-- and fresh ingredients! The hand pies and scones in the front case looked equally as appetizing, and the cakes and cookies-- oh my! Prices are extremely reasonable, and you can place orders for the Brimstone goodies, especially yummy cakes like carrot, old fashioned vanilla and red velvet. Our charming host and owner of Brimstone, Anthony Leberto, is also the chef and is sure to welcome you if you come by. He also provides a catering business for the area, and, Brimstone still serves food until FOUR PM most days and has ample outdoor seating!! Brimstone Bakery is located at 922 Chestnut Street in Sharon Springs, (518) 284-6093, just past the school. read more

There is no boundaries with flavor here! Well this mainly a bakery, they offer an incredible menu of quiche, sandwiches, soup, and have many artisan jams. Who comes up with Caramelized Apple, Fennel, Sweet Potato soup? Let me tell you the flavors were spot on! Nothing was over powering and it was incredible. Paired with a BLT starting with a fresh baked roll (incredibly light) fresh locally grown tomatoes, bacon done perfectly, on a bed of spring lettuce. The deserts were just as tasty. Mixed berry crumble made with fresh berries, ginger snaps, lemon/blueberry scone all were delicious. Can hardly wait to try the jams we purchased. The young ladies at the counter were incredibly nice and patient with us, even offered a taste of the soup before ordering. We were approached a few times at the table (I'm sure it was the owners) asking how our meal was and offered advice on deserts and the jam they offered. I wish we had taken pictures but we did not think about it. Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better. Terrific lunch on a beautiful day! read more

Delicious food with perfect service at a great price. We've been back 3 times since discovering this lunch spot. We started with drip coffee and mushroom quiche slices. The Quiche is amazing!! The next time we came for lunch and had a chicken salad sandwich and a BLT on brioche. All was delicious. We came on Saturday for the special sticky buns and they're totally worth it. Don't miss Saturday morning if you're visiting. read more

This bakery has such amazing baked goods that when eating any of them, I'm nearly bought to tears. I'm not even exaggerating. They're that good. Currently, as I write, I am eating the s'mores brownies and I'm choking back tears so that I can swallow this beautiful, delicious, magnificent piece of heaven. I've had many a "s'more" themed baked good but none are as finely executed as this. Truly this is a work of edible art that engages all your senses and transcends you to a dimension above nirvana. Some other goods I tried were: Riesling Caraway jelly. A. May. Zing. It takes all of me not to eat all the jelly and the jar so as to not waste any of it. It is the star of any charcuterie plate. Pumpkin Bread. Soft. Fluffy. Perfectly sweet. A moist, delectable bread. Ginger biscotti. Candied ginger in this biscotti is my soulmate because I adore ginger. I never even thought of putting ginger in biscotti but it's the edible therapy I need on a shi**y day. I 100% blew my budget on this place but I have no regrets. Now, you may be thinking... well, I'm not going to Sharon Springs to try this! Lucky for you, they deliver! They are worth every penny and more. I love this place and can't wait to order my next batch of goodies! FYI: they don't have a brick and mortar shop. You have to either be in Sharon Springs while they have a popup or purchase their goodies online. read more

My husband and I can't say enough good about this gem; just stumbled on it while passing thru Sharon Springs. As we walked up the walk to the building the smells emanating were unbelievable. Once in the door, oh my goodness; cookies, cakes, jams, breads. We went in for bread and walked out with a bag full. Everything we bought was delicious. We will definitely be back to try their lunch menu. read more
