BRIGHTHOUSE IS NOW SPECTRUM???? NO, IT'S NOT! In EVERY aspect of their advertising, billing and online content you see the declaration, 'Brighthouse Networks is now Spectrum'. You see this prominently displayed on mailings, TV ads, and even on your monthly statement. Again, it says Brighthouse Networks is now Spectrum...... NOT SO......... I was just on the phone with 3 separate 'Spectrum' representatives, about my 'Brighthouse' account for almost THREE HOURS over a pending move issue! The first representative was excellent. I thought my issue was handled and all she had to do was hand me off to a 'retention specialist' to finalize my issue and it would be complete. During the almost 2 HOURS that I was on the phone with the first rep, she confirmed that I have been with Brighthouse Networks and I am STILL with Brighthouse Networks. She advised that IF I make any changes to my current service, then I would lose Brighthouse Legacy(as they call it) and I would become a Spectrum customer. OKAY.....SO AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO IS CONFUSED???? Oh, did I mention that once you get taken over by SPECTRUM you can expect a rather hefty RATE INCREASE? Believe it! Once I got 'handed off' to the retention specialist, the call went downhill real fast. It seems that I must be an idiot or I 'should' have known something I was not informed about as a customer. Apparently, Spectrum does not understand the concept of right versus wrong, doing the right thing and ultimately, The Customer is Always Right! The first rep had everything handled, or so I thought. But rep #2 made me repeat everything, again! Once I repeated in great detail, rep #2 directly discharged everything rep #1 had done. I would not get a fair treatment and he could do no more. After over 30 minutes with rep #2, I ended up talking with a rep #3, who purportedly was a 'supervisor' but yet had NO AUTHORITY? He had no authority to do the right thing and correct Spectrum's error! REALLY? I asked to speak to his boss or his bosses' boss, someone that DOES have the authority. That never happened, I just kept getting NO! How is it that NO ONE at Spectrum has the authority to handle my issue correctly, prudently and/or expediently? So, here I am....just short of THREE HOURS on the phone, with a sore ear, a near burn out and no customer satisfaction over a SPECTRUM ISSUE. All this from Brighthouse/Legacy/Spectrum or whatever they will be calling themselves tomorrow! If this is what we can expect from SPECTRUM, well then, NO THANKS! read more

My wife and I turned in our cable boxes and internet router on 29 January 2019, due to a move to Georgia. We told them we are moving and service will no longer be needed. Four months later Spectrum calls us saying we owe money for 2 months of service and a disconnection fee, after disputing the bill numerous times, it all came down to the Spectrum rep at this store not inputting a disconnection notice in their notes. So I ended up paying for service I never used, considering the fact that the boxes and router were turned in but Spectrum didn't care! I will never use Spectrum again ever! If you happen to use Spectrum be sure after you turn in your equipment to get a statement saying your services will be disconnected and a date of disconnection, a simple receipt is not enough! read more

Poor customer service. Poor service/connection. Really a waste of your money to put it in simple words. They have unprofessional tech to come to your place. They are just unbelievably straightforward liars. They try to up sale you which is ok, but they have absolutely the worst service. Use the other. There are only 2 internet companies in this area (I think). Save your life from trouble, use the other one. It can't be worse than Spectrum even if they tried. They are so horrible! Arrived at 9:30am to find 7 people in line with 1 customer service rep! This is not acceptable!!! Spectrum does not care about customer service, apparently that value left with Brighthouse! I would like to give 0 stars. I was also lied to. They told me there was a package that would save me money with faster internet. I specifically asked if I would lose any channels I have with brighthouse and the answer was no. I went so far and asked specifically if I would lose the science channnel my husbands favorite. Again they said no I would even gain channels. Well you guessed it all my favorite channels are gone. When I called to complain they explained that those channels are tier 1 and tier 2 and it would be a extra 22 a month. Paying more for the same service I had. To top it off they can't help me. We as consumers must not let this happen. We MUST do everything in our power to let the public know how underhanded and unethical this company truely is. I am not giving up. BBB is next and then tv stations. How dare they rip us off like we are morons. I'm furious and reading all these reviews is not helping. read more

Don't go there. The store has closed. The web site has not been updated. The alternative location is terrible. Too many customers and very few trained staff. One staff continues to get guidance from another staff, results 2 customers are in limbo. Been here over 30 minutes, at least 20 other customers and 4 staff, see above for efficiency of staff assistance. This is nuts. This company should not be in business. They show little to no respect for the customer and they are thieves as far as I am concerned. I closed my account and had a positive balance. When I first attempted to return my equipment, I was given the wrong address and drove around for a half hour before finding it, only to show up at 5:55 and find the doors locked. The business was still to be open until 6:00PM. This was adamantly denied when I questioned it the day I actually returned the equipment. Unfortunately, in the meantime my bank had sent a payment to them. So my positive balance from before should have then included the extra payment. Oh no, They say that I am not "entitled" to a double refund. WTH are they??? Now I have made five visits to the office and countless calls only to be told that the payment made after my account was closed is THEIRS!!!!!!! THIEVES. They won't give me any numbers except the same circle of idiots to try to rectify this or go up the chain of management. Not to mention the service I had the entire time I had Spectrum. read more

Didn't get a bill in the mail so I called to pay by phone with a credit card. They added $5 to my bill for the "assistance" I received in paying my bill. I asked for them to send me the bill by E-mail. They said they don't do that. I asked for one to be sent by mail to my home and they said that would add $1 per month to my bill. Without notice they added $8.95 for WiFi to my bill this month. I didn't ask for WiFi and I don't use it, except at the Library, Paneras, and every saloon and public place in America for "free". I don't need it at home unless I decide to bring the computer into the shower at 6 in the morning. They have a communications problem and an inordinate lust for screwing customers in their bills. If I could do 0 stars I would. They have overcharged me TWICE in the past 5 months with the automatic payment. Called, got a nasty representative, then a nasty supervisor and said my check will be mailed out 3-4 business days. Never received the check. Called back, and the girl told me 5-10 business days. Never received it. Called today, and she said they don't do checks for partial refunds, only back on the card. Like what the ......I've waited almost a month for a check and NOW they tell me they don't do checks for partial refunds. Then just so happened I got "disconnected" brighthouse...you're garbage and nothing but a scam. read more

i have had bright house for 10 years .. why am i still here? ... stupid maybe... but heres the thing ... this company are thieves here in california they charge you a month in advance what!!!!!!! everytime i get my bill its over 300.00 dollars these people are robbing us blind why should they charge a month in advance ... that should be stopped we are paying for services we have not used and if you dont pay they still charge alote in fees sometimes even more. better buisness bureau needs to stop these crooks....people need to stop these crooks they make all this money while we struggle to pay for services that have not been used yet. the next month hasnt rolled by yet and your getting charge yet again once you biulling cycle comes out you are slapped in the face with a super high bill......... read more
