    I would like to formally report one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had at a LabCorp…read morefacility. Today I went for my annual lab work, as I do every year, and decided to visit the location across from my home on Old St. Augustine Road. I arrived at 6:50 a.m. When I walked in, I greeted the employee at the counter with a "Good morning." Her response, however, was: "In 10 minutes you need to sit in the waiting room," said with a noticeably arrogant tone. She didn't even have the courtesy to respond politely. Immediately after, she got up from her chair and went to talk to the receptionist. Another patient arrived shortly after and also greeted her. That patient received the exact same rude response in the same tone. The tension in the room was very noticeable. At 7:02 a.m., she turned on the television and called me to the counter. She told me she could not find my lab order. I responded that this was unusual because my doctor had confirmed the order was sent electronically a week ago. The phlebotomist, who was sitting right in front of the computer, looked at me with sarcasm and said, in a mocking tone: "You're looking at me like I'm lying to you." I explained that wasn't the case and attempted to find my order in my email. She then told me I needed to make an appointment through the app or the kiosk, again using an arrogant and condescending tone. I honestly don't understand why she had such an attitude so early in the morning. I left feeling completely dismissed, disrespected, and belittled. The treatment I received was extremely unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. At that moment, a receptionist with short black hair and a tattoo on her ear arrived. She looked at the phlebotomist, but still no one made any effort to resolve the issue. In many cases my orders appear under both of my last names; they didn't even attempt a proper search. Unfortunately, this is not the first incident I've experienced at this same location. In the past, this same employee told me they "don't take walk-ins" and made me leave to another location on Phillips Highway. At this point, I have even wondered if her behavior may be discriminatory, as her attitude toward me has been consistently negative on more than one occasion. Someone with such an unprofessional demeanor should not be working directly with patients, especially in a setting that requires trust and care. I would not have felt safe receiving sample collection from her based on her behavior today. I will not be returning to this location, and I do not recommend it. I hope this feedback reaches the appropriate leadership so they can address the lack of professionalism demonstrated by staff at this facility.
