The big deal is that an angry acting technician very badly hurt my arm when she jammed the needle in. Normally, I can barely feel the needle but this was brutal. And when I expressed that I was in pain, she kept right on and never said a word. She then proceeded to attempt to snap the elastic band off of the top of my arm, and the attempt failed-painfully. So she immediately repeated the painful snap and thank goodness for me the tight strap came off the second time. This woman should never be allowed to be around another person with a needle!! I then bled profusely for several hours and have a blown vein!

He said of course and was super nice and she was feeling good about it headed in. When we arrived, there was only one female nurse around, not sure of her name, she had some cool tattoos,definitely no fear of needles. She asked me not to come in, but I listened as she not only inquired about why we weren't doing certain tests, but went on and on about why my wife and I should and why it was wrong that she didn't. Super unprofessional and very upsetting especially after not asking me into the room. I would not have let her speak to my wife that way and that is 100% between my wife and I and our Dr's, not the nurse whose job is to draw the blood. By the time she went to take the blood my wife asked if I could come in, she was a little worked up already BEFORE the needle, so I went in. I held her hand while she cried and was worried, and all the nurse did was give nasty looks and say sit still...and alright you're done, with the most sarcastic "congratulations" I've ever heard. Awful experience all around, go somewhere else where they won't try and pressure you for things that they make money on and where they might treat you with an ounce of care and like a human. Super disappointed, guess it can only get better from here.

This was the first time using Akumin! I had to get an Echocardiogram today. Because I have a CDL…read more(commercial drivers license) and had heart surgery I have to have an Echocardiogram and Stress Test every two years. I'm able to alternate the test so this year it was the Echo. I did all the necessary paperwork online. Did the checkin process online and downloaded all the required documents and insurance information prior to arrival. I arrived at 10:30am and signed in and waited to be called back. About 10 minutes later they called me back for my procedure. I was completely done and leaving the facility at 11:05am. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly! The technician that did my echocardiogram procedure was very friendly and talked to me about my procedure. Everything was nice and updated and clean. The only thing I noticed was the restroom was messy but I think someone just came out "with issues lol". Definitely recommend Akumin and glad I came today. Will definitely not be worried next year when I come back for my stress test!
