So instead of a 4-mile drive in traffic, it was a 12 mile drive in traffic. However, this does not take away from their 5-Star rating because it wasn't the fault of Optimal Imaging. In addition, driving in Jacksonville traffic is no where near as bad as driving in D.C. traffic! The parking area is small and when we arrived there were only three spaces available, I took one and an elderly lady took two! Lol. I'm laughing now but if it were me looking for that last parking space, I would have been livid because now I would have to find street parking. :-/ When we walked in I heard the front desk person tell someone that they were cutting down trees in the back so the parking was limited today. The lobby is very clean and they have a free coffee machine area. They have both light and bold coffee options as well as green tea pods. They even have flavored creamer. Nice! And something I don't often see in the lobby of a "medical-type" facility is a Coca-Cola frig with of course, Coke products and Dasani bottled water, all for free. They also have separate Women and Men bathroom. The front desk personnel was very friendly, professional and checked us in immediately. As soon as we finished filling out the paperwork they called my mom to the back for her MRI.

Parking is great. Recommend? Yes Pros: they can save your life with this test. Cons: could not get ahold of any staff to answer a few questions and concerns the day before.

His offices are clean and absolutely stunning, and yes, I know I am talking about a doctor's office, but see it in person and you will feel like you are at a resort and you will have the same sentiment. All of my appointments have been in the afternoon, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. They stay on schedule and on time. Every tech for every procedure has been professional while still being friendly at the same time. Again, I've always been made to feel very comfortable. The techs are very knowledgeable and explain everything they are doing. They are more than willing to answer any and all questions you may have. My most recent visit was just last week for an MRI. My doctor originally wrote my orders to go somewhere else, but I asked him to please rewrite the orders for Baptist Imaging and he gladly did so. I just can't see myself going anywhere other than here for any type of diagnostic imaging unless I have a doctor who absolutely insists I go somewhere else. He promptly scheduled me for an infusion this week and that's what I had today. There is plenty of parking, a large lobby, and even a vending machine for snacks if your infusion takes a while like mine did! Let me preface I have a horrible fear of needles, so this kind of place is a nightmare for me. When I told the nurses and the people who draw blood, they were so quick to make me as comfortable as possible. Kris, the nurse manager, was able to find a vein in my baby sized veins. She was so patient, kind, and compassionate. I get anxiety about being a burden since I can be difficult, but she didn't make me feel that way for a second. Another honorable mention is the nurse I had, Jasmine, who was so attentive and supportive. She explained things very thoroughly and made me feel confident in the treatment I was getting. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Overall, if you come here, be assured you'll have some great care with professionals who lead with compassion and patience.
