I was shopping for a pre owned Volvo XC90 last month. I visited just about every Volvo dealership within 75 miles of my home in NJ. Thankfully Bridgewater Volvo was the last dealership I visited. I had a very good experience with my Sales person John and their Tech expert Zach. The team was patient as I test drove many vehicles until I found the right one. The sale was a 2 day process as I had asked that a few items be looked at by the mechanics at the dealership. A few things that impressed me, Volvo offers a 5 year unlimited mile warranty from original date of service on certified pre owned vehicles. Every issue I had was resolved. I had discovered a vibration in the steering wheel during certain braking situations a few days after delivery. I expressed my concern and my Sales person John scheduled an appointment at my convenience, the rotors and brakes were replaced which alleviated the issue. Registration was completed in a timely manner and a check that was owed to me was sent to my home in a timely fashion. I will likely continue to visit them for service as needed. I highly recommend Bridgewater Volvo if you are in the market. read more

Oil change service for 2025 Volvo. Driving vehicle next day warning message displayed. Shutdown Engine no oil pressure. I viewed computer status for oil ( Low / Full ) and it read "No Value". Called Service Department and Rep said maybe oil bubble occurred with service and it popped lowering oil level. (???). Dealer produces computer printout to portray pressure tested quality review - post service. Yet my car was released with (at best) a faulty filter seal or (at worst)- little to no oil. Oil changes are not challenging and service departments that fail at most common process are to be questioned. I don't have any plans to have my brakes serviced here. Car was towed without oil and then told oil service completed (again). No mention of gross failure, no reference of owning any liability car released with low/no oil. It's not something they would put on a poster happening in service department, but something that DID - resulting from gross failure. Trained technicians cannot successfully get oil in a vehicle? It's clear training needs to be scrapped and Volvo Service Department should own errors. Documenting them. I asked for root cause of gross failure to be documented. I'll let you guess if it was. [Answer - of course not.] read more

Once my wife and I decided we wanted a Volvo, we searched all over the US for the exact one with all the features we desired. After talking with multiple Volvo dealerships that at times were hard to communicate with and verify information with and spending a good deal of time searching on Volvo's online database we landed at calling the Bridgewater Volvo and we couldn't be more pleased! We decided to fly cross country to pick up the Volvo from the dealership and the Bridgewater team, including the GM; JP our sales guy; and Jose the finance guy, took every possible step to help us be fully prepared to receive the car as soon as we arrived, by answering all our questions prior to arrival and even going so far as JP picking us up from the airport. As soon as we walked in we were greeted at the door by Bill, and later Jose, both of them being very pleasant to work with. We were cared for directly and efficiently till we drove off the lot. The whole purchasing process was flawless and relaxed and made us feel confident we made the right choice going with Bridgewater for this purchase. As an added bonus, we had the opportunity to get a hands-on, step by step customization of our Volvo with an explanation of how to use our new features when our Volvo was delivered to us by Bill. He was extremely patient, a great teacher, and very knowledgeable about the tips and tricks of how to best utilize all the great technology and safety features our Volvo came with. We drove away from Bridgewater in our dream Volvo feeling completely confident about our purchase and our decision to go with this dealership. We highly recommend considering Volvo Bridgewater for your purchase. If your experience is anything like ours, you will not be disappointed! Even though we live in Florida, we will definitely reach out to Bridgewater for our next purchase. They exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to get us into our new Swedish beauty! read more

Bridgewater Volvo - Auto Repair Near Me - Somerville, New Jersey

I've been an owner for 3y ever since buying my car at the same family-owned dealership network, all termed Volvo Country. The excellence in everything from buying to receiving to maintenance to minor aides (dropped a card into the console once) has been totally above reproach. I couldn't be happier with my choice for my family's safe transport and life enjoyment. I got a Volvo XC90 to raise the caliber of living and safety both and so far, truly totally met that measure. That's the general overview. My review update will detail the regular service I got there 3d ago. read more

Sad to report, after being loyal volvo customers for over 7 years, that John Maxton is unhinged! He verbally abused and exploded against my husband after he had a legitimate question about returning the charging cable for our lease, in front of the entire branch. This is completly uncalled for and we are changing to another branch to continue our lease, if possible. This is very bizarre behavior, and attempts to contact the Volvo corporate headquarters resulted in nothing. Use caution with John Maxton! read more

I got my service twice. I visited 3 times to get a new car. The sales are very rude and arrogant. The sales didn't want to spend time with me. And I have to turn to a BMW. read more

Made an appointment to come test drive an XC60 R design, which I had been after for quite some time. They assured me it was available, and that I could come in between 4 and 430pm to test drive. I drove almost 40 mins to get there, and arrived by 415pm. As I was in the waiting room, I could see the car I wanted was being shown to someone else for a test drive. What was the point in setting up an appointment if anyone else could come in during the same time? I waited and waited and apparently the couple was very interested in the car, so the dealer wouldn't even let me take it for a test drive. I wound up leaving and decided not to buy a Volvo based on my experience here. Ultimately I wound up buying a Mustang Mach-E SUV, which I'm extremely happy about. So in a way, I thank this dealership for helping me towards my dream car, albeit in a roundabout, non traditional method. read more

Service is great the parts department is a waste. unprofessional trying to talk over people and they lie!! The guy Red is a complete idiot - I am not going back to this dealership. it's very sad that this guys unprofessionalism pushed a customer away. doesn't like it when he gets caught in a lie and runs the old "don't talk to me like that". Weeks for a part to get painted! and he pushes it off to the other guy! when asked if he was the parts manager and then changed his response "well kinda" shoots me to the "parts managers voicemail. I call back the dealership and asked for the PM name I'm told Red they transferred me when I asked to speak to him. Boom it's the same idiot that lied in the beginning. Don't use this dealer ship for parts! service people are so professional as well as sales. but that parts department is a bunch of clowns read more

Carl in the service department could not not be nicer, Joe the technician clearly demonstrated the supercharger leak via a smoke test, and suggested additional work that I was going to ask for anyway having researched the issue. their quote for repair was significantly less than my neighborhood Volvo dealer. Carl gave a loaner that he did not have to do. post me agreeing to the repair, and me having left the shop, Carl figured out car was still under certified pre-owned warranty. I thought it had expired, and my neighborhood dealer failed to uncover that as well. saved me thousands. read more

The sales rep could not have been less interested in selling us the car we were looking at and therefore, we won't be purchasing it! He sat mostly in silence during the entire test drive while we awkwardly tried to make conversation and ask questions. Of the questions we did ask, he was always very unsure of the answer. We ended up Googling the answers ourselves. He did absolutely nothing to try to sell the car. Very disappointing experience! read more

Amazing sales staff. When I get my car there a few months ago. And when I went in for service. They helped me with all my service needs.

Very disappointed. I am ready to trade my car and would have loved to have switched into a Volvo but was disappointed at the service at this dealership. I wanted to trade my car which has only 32k miles on it and they were giving me a very low trade value. They then, in addition to the insult of the trade value, explained to me that they don't deviate from sticker price. I have excellent credit and the desire for a new car. I left not trusting their integrity at all. read more

The service component of this dealership has excellent customer service. We came in for an oil change and rather than being made to wait in the service area(which is rather comfortable and offers free wi-fi), they drove us to a local diner and picked us up after breakfast. I know there is a bit of a premium at a dealership, and this place is no exception, but I still think there's value here. read more

We drove here one hour and a half to buy a specific car. While we negotiated with the very nice salesman John Maxton the manager intervened yelling at us. We were surprised. We had not been introduced. He later apologized to us in a very wimpy and insincere way. We still do not know the name of the explosive sales manager. We were probably going to purchase the car from John but we were very turned off by the experience with the burned out manager. The store seems to be under renovations but that does not account for the unkempt, one working faucet, no toilet paper bathroom. Someone is not minding this volvo store.... read more

Service gave me a loaner without a license plate. Ended up getting pulled over and wasting a hour to verify that the car was a loaner and was not stolen. The service department needs to get their act together. Also they have a 24 hour dealer representative phone number which no one picks up. Left few voicemails with no answer. I would never buy or take my car to bridgewater volvo again. read more

Volvo of Bridgewater's service department is ABYSMAL ! In fact, they are worse then that. More then 1 time have I had to drop my car off for service for the same problem. I am called by Volvo service saying my issue is resolved and to find out it hasn't been resolved. How many times does one need to go back for simple repairs ?Great you get a loaner car but at times 1without a license or without an inspection sticker. Right now I've been waiting over 24 hours for a "I'll call you right back" phone call from service rep. I have never ever experienced service or should I say lack of service from any other dealer service department I've used. I DO NOT recommend buying a car from this auto dealer ! You will regret it as I do. read more

Unfortunately there isn't a zero star option. I own a Volvo XC90 which is known for having transmission issues. Brought it to this dealer several times for service (while it was new and fully under warranty). No issues were found. Let's talk about the arrogance of the service techs and being treated like a stupid woman. Now the car is outside of the manufacturer warranty and while they notice the issue, the vehicle isn't generating any error codes (so they say) so there's nothing THEY can do. REALLY?! I pay you $125/hr for diagnostic services but there's nothing you can do? Apparently it's not just this location but Volvo NA overall that treats their customers badly as is evident from the numerous commentary on the Edmunds Forums (http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f18a651!make=Volvo&model=XC90&ed_makeindex=.f18a651). http://www.sfmslaw.com/class-action-lawsuits/cases.php?id=907 read more

I want to preface this bad review by saying that I purchased a used XC60 from this dealership in 2015 that I have not had a single problem with in the three years that I have had it. That being said, I came here to test drive S60s. I was given the keys to a S60 and just told to go take it for a drive. To my surprise, the driver's side rear view mirror fell off as I was driving. Naturally, I was concerned that I would be blamed for this given the fact that I was alone in the vehicle and the only witness. However, when I returned and notified the person who was helping me, he simply placed the side view mirror back on its perch and said nothing. That experience alone was enough to show me that they knew the vehicle had a broken mirror and were willing to let me drive off the lot with it anyway. This is not what I expect from a Volvo dealership. This is conduct you expect at some seedy used car lot. My advice to anyone reading this is to go to another Volvo dealership besides Bridgewater, Edison, or Princeton. read more

I won't ever go back here. I've been a volvo owner for more than 15 years and the service I received this week is rephrensible. Third time in for the same issue, somehow my car got completely wet on the inside drivers side, I was told my windshield had unsealed and it would cost 2k to replace, my husband went with the service writer through a car wash twice, no leaks, etc. the next day I was to,d they could not recreate the problem and somehow the issue they identified remedied itself. Hmm I'm not your every day idiot. My car had been sitting at the dealer for a week, and I'm sure since it's not a new vehicle it took no priority. The top mechanic was supposed to be working on it, if you are the top mechanic it would not take 7 days to figure out what was wrong. I pick up my car today because I have no trust anymore. It's wet, moldy and mildewy. Not how I left it. The service writer barely acknowledged me. I'm left with a car after 3 visits with no AC, wet, moldy nd mildewy car and still had to pay for the diagnosis over $300 after my car just sat. Yes my car is 11 years o,d but you can look at the history between states and service from volvo dealers. We've kept up on everything. Just because my car is not brand new does not mean ideserve less service. My volvo before this one with double the miles is still running. I hate the fact that I'm just blown off. None of the service directors or managers have decided to respond to me or my request. If I would have gotten my car back in the same shape it was left in maybe I would not be so mad. It was returned in sub par conditions and they don't care. read more

Carl and Anna were very helpful.. And walked me thru all needs and how to maintain my car.

I have been a Volvo owner for over 24 years (740 wagon/14 yrs. & S-60 for 10 years). I looked at other cars this time, Honda and Passat and actually had a deposit on a Passat in Princeton. But when my daughter (the car expert) and I came back to ride in the S-60, it was a done deal. Steve Dolly was my salesperson. I cannot say enough good things about Steve. His professionalism and knowledge of the S-60 was terrific and he followed through on all the details for me. The last time I purchased the S-60 was at Ft. Washington Volvo in Pa. because at the time I came to Bridgewater, I was not happy with the sales experience. Not this time!!! Steve and the rest of the staff were wonderful. Linda R. read more

We have bought two cars here (XC 90 and S 60) in the past year and a half. Both times we worked with Dan Carlson. By far, he is the most polite and honest salesman we have ever worked with! He knows his stuff and all paperwork was handled great!! We definitely recommend this dealership, Dan and Steve!! read more

Beware of Volvo Bridgewater!! I bought a brand new Volvo car from Bridgewater Volvo 6 months ago. I had to make 4 visits so far to the dealership for repairs. They changed so far tire censors, AC compressor, AC line and the problems are not fixed yet. When I asked for a replacement for the car they offered to take back the car and charge me $ 13,000 for the 6 months I had the car when I was taking it to the service one visit after another. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the entire experience with Volvo and they basically told me they just sell the car and any problems after that is my problem and I have to talk to Volvo. I bought my first ever car here. I shopped around a lot, on line and at two other dealers- in Manhattan and in New Jersey. I decided which car I wanted and, via USAA's website, I was directed to three dealers in the NY/NJ area who honored USAA's discounts. I had a quote from another dealer where I did a test drive. The other dealer was very nice and helpful but was unable to get me the car I wanted in the color I wanted. This dealer had it in stock and made me a very fair deal, honoring all of my discounts, getting me a price that was absolutely comparable with the Kelly Blue Book fair value. They went above and beyond to get me what I wanted very very quickly. Dominick was my sales representative and he followed up constantly and immediately, answering every question I had, getting me an even better price than I finally estimated, and he and his manager, even on his day off, made sure I had everything I wanted. The car was ready, with everything installed, waxed and beautiful, ready to go when I picked it up. They were attentive, sweet, kind and as excited as I was about the purchase. I was absolutely happy with my experience here. I am also a woman, as is the other reviewer here, but I found myself treated with absolute respect and I was not pushed into buying anything I didn't want. They just helped me get and enjoy exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find elsewhere. They were great and I love the car. I'm very happy with my decision to work with them. read more

I received the flyer about visiting the dealership, driving a model of my choice, and then supposed to receive the Visa $50. visited the dealership, small and old appearance, was allowed to drive a car, gave my info, nice drive with the car, have not yet received the Visa card. What a scam, which I mentioned on the phone! Called and spoke with a person, left a message for someone to call me bac, no return call yet... still no Visa card... it has been about 3 months... the only calls I have received is to ask me when I would consider buying .... we are not yet ready to buy - though the car is nice, the dealership - not so much! Bridgewater Volvo tries but they never quite meet expectations. I purchased a slightly used Volvo XC60 SUV (I love Volvo and this truck) and have had them service it ever since purchase. Their service costs are expensive as one might expect from a higher level service dealer, it usually costs on average between $500-$1000 per visit up to 4xs per year. This is where the divergence from expectations occurs. While they charge the same as a high level service dealer, my experience with their service department is that they cannot offer high level service. Almost every time I have the truck serviced, something is not reattched or properly refitted resulting in another trip back to adjust or reassemble the part (forgetting to reattach a side mirror sensor or reset the dashboard notifications). My most recent and frustrating experience this summer happened when I needed new tires. I have generally purchased new tires at Costco because of the service level and price point but Volvo offered to install Pirelli's for a fair price. So, even though I was hesitant, I thought I would give them a chance with tires. Two weeks after the new tires were installed the Low Pressure light went on. I went to a fill station and tried to remove the cap from the stem to fill the tire and it was literally so corroded I could barely remove the cap. Not only did they not not provide new stems but the stems they provided were not even the ones on my truck previously. I was so frustrated. Before I could take the truck back to them..two tires lost pressure again and one of the stems literally broke off in my hand when refilling with air which required an immediate half day at the local auto repair shop to repair the stem. I returned to Volvo, they fixed the stems and the tires are now not leaking anymore however,..just noticed the front headlight is loose and requires another return trip. It wasn't properly secured during the last visit. My wife leased a Chevy Traverse down the street just this year and frankly Chevy's service has been amazing. read more

I was introduced to this dealership in the summer of '13 when they repaired a power/alternator issue in my 2005 Volvo s40 that my local garage was unable to fix. I was so impressed with the service I received (professionalism and friendliness) that it made me decide that I would definitely purchase my next car there. The clutch in my car failed this week, and while I was trying to keep the car until at least December, the cost to repair it would have been more than the car was worth. So I was really in bind and needed a car fast. I called the dealership and David Yarussi helped my through all the steps and secured financing via phone and email so that when I went to the dealership that night, things would be in a good place. He respected my budget and I felt I got an extremely good deal. He was welcoming and friendly and made a day that was pretty stressful end in a fun way. I just picked up the car today and absolutely love it!!! David even spent the time to give a tutorial on how to use all the hi tech electronics, which I did not receive from the dealer I purchased my old car from. Steve Dolly in finance was also fantastic. He made what could have been signing of boring paper work fun, and he was candid and I didn't feel like a fast one was being pulled on me. Both gentlemen took the time to answer my questions at all stages of the process. There is nothing they could have done to make my car leasing experience any better because it was the best!! I'd wholeheartedly recommend this dealership and David and Steve to anyone in need of a new car. read more

"My wife and I decided to drop in to Bridgewater Volvo 's dealership given we were considering replacing my wife's car. As we were looking over the cars on the lot, Dominick DiFalco approached us, introduced himself, and offered his assistance. We returned and began the process of negotiating the purchase. From the first steps to the last - Dominick proved to be a true professional, considerate, knowledgeable, considerate of our time, and most importantly, willing to go the extra mile. We decided that based on the S90 model we wanted that we would need to look into the process of selecting from available inventory. I returned with a list of the available cars in our order of priority and Dominick and general manager Al Cologna took the baton and began the arduous process of negotiating with the dealer involved. It was this commitment to us that had us cross the line and consider replacing my car at the same time. Once again, we began our search with Dominick and once again decided that existing inventory for the XC90 was the way to go. Here again Dominick and Al went to bat for us and achieved an A+++ grade in that they were able to negotiate and secure the exact models we wanted - our prime options!!. We picked up the cars on the same day and at that time met with Steven Dolly - business manager, and dotted the "i's" and crossed the "t's". Steven proved to be extremely knowledgeable as we went over the extended services available for us to purchase. His ability to explain everything in detail and to work with us made it easy and resulted in our acquiring those services we felt were value added. Overall, we can't say enough about the great experience we had - something that in current times is more elusive than winning Lotto - although we did win when it comes to selecting Dominick, Al, Steven and the entire team at Bridgewater Volvo."
