If I could give negative stars, I would. My experience with this body shop was nothing short of a nightmare. The owner, Bern, flat-out refused to provide even an initial estimate unless they completely tore down my leased Jeep. I made it clear I did not authorize a teardown, but he insisted it was "the only way" -- which is simply not true. Against my wishes, they disassembled my vehicle and left me with no choice but to keep it there. This "policy" felt like a deliberate trap to pad labor charges and lock me in. Because of their actions, my Jeep spiraled into a forced total loss situation with insurance, costing me enormous time, stress, and financial fallout. Even my GEICO adjuster was embarrassed for me and horrified when they saw what had been done. After the fact, they admitted this shop has a history of pulling the same stunt with other customers -- but because of legal restrictions on "steering," they couldn't warn me or recommend a different body shop up front. That says it all: the insurance company knows this place is a problem but can't say it outright. On top of that, communication was evasive and unprofessional. Bern gave me the run-around at every step, never owning up to the fact that I never authorized what they did. He showed zero concern for the fact this was a leased vehicle, where OEM parts and proper handling are non-negotiable. This shop operates on shady tactics, not customer service. I stopped in without an appointment for them to look at damage done to my car door at a car wash. Gabrielle at the front desk took a look and called in her detailer Sal. Despite being busy they instantly took the time to not only look at the damage but took the car and repaired the damage. Where do i begin. I was dreading getting my car fix. I had 3 claims through 2 different insurance companies and my car was a lease. On November 2 2022 a chipmunk went into my engine and decided to chew the bag of insulation over my front wheel well. I know it was a chipmunk because my neighbor was looking at it with me and we opened the hood and while banging on the wheel well the chipmunk jump out of the top of the engine compartment. When I opened the driver side door all the chewed stuffing came falling out to the ground. Called my insurance company and said to take it to Bridgewater Collision to have it looked at. They told me to stop by the next day so they could take pictures. They also said to file a claim with my insurance because the would have to remove the bumper and side panel to replace the insulation so I did. Got a text from them to drop off my car on November 15. Went to drop it off and was told by some woman that I was there for an estimate. I told her I thought she was wrong. Anyway, the man that helped me told me the part wasn't in yet and they would be in touch soon. Got a call a week later to come in to sign papers and ask that guy when is it going to be repaired, he looked in his computer and said I was scheduled for December 9, I asked if the part was in and he stated yes. I called to confirm on December 8 and was told that he never said December 9. That was a blatant lie. Then he said I have you scheduled for January 23. Called on January 20th to confirm for the 23 and was told by that woman that my date was not the 23 but rather the 26. Said ok and hung up. Called my insurance company and cancelled the claim because I was done being lied too and no longer trusted them to do the repair. DON'T go there for any repairs! Totally unprofessional and will lie and lie! Took my car to Britland in Bridgewater yesterday 2-7 at 8 am and picked it up this morning 2-8 the car was completely finished in one day. They are a top-notch repair shop and I have received RAVES from my customers over the years. Marie and Alan make the repair process smooth and pain free. They will coordinate getting the local Enterprise office in Raritan to pick up customers and have the rental cars returned. I've personally had 5 vehicles repaired at Bridgewater Collision and I have to say that these negative reviews are not the norm at all. They repaired a Audi, BMW, Ford, VW and Lexus making them all look just like the damage never happened at all. In the last 10 years and many hundreds of customers repaired at Bridgewater Collision, I may have had a handful of complaints about the shop, but never about the quality and professionalism of their repair work. The negative ones I recall were about length of repair and in each one of those cases it was due to standard parts delays or after SuperStorm Sandy when all repair shops were pushed beyond capacity due to the large amount of damaged cars. Outstanding experience! I was hit while standing in traffic and needed auto body work done to my car. It was the other driver's fault so his insurance picked up the whole bill. The problem was that the insurance company wanted to put after market parts on my brand new 2020 Lexus instead of genuine Lexus parts. Bridgewater Collision went to bat for me several time to get the quality parts that I deserved. They refused to accept the inferior parts that the insurance company wanted. They had to try to install the inferior parts and send pictures showing that they didn't fit then reinstall the correct Lexus parts. I could have never gotten this accomplished myself. They cared that I got a quality repair job and took the extra time to make sure that it happened. I have no hesitation recommending them! read more

Well, I have never met anyone with the gall of Steve F at Bridgewater Collision. He was very quick to see the car on December 4th and give us photos and an estimate. However, despite repeated requests, he refused to even put the car on the repair calendar until he had the insurance check in his hand. When I called him on Monday, the 14th, he told me the check had arrived two days earlier and he had put it in our folder. He would let me know TUESDAY when we could finally get a repair date. And then he told me he was busy, so I'd be looking at or after Christmas. In line with the other reviews: this place is full of rude people lacking any sort of customer service. My husband made an appointment for an estimate after I foolishly backed the corner of our car into a concrete mailbox. He came back fuming at how incredibly rude they were (which doesn't surprise me based on the other reviews here). There was no parking so he pulled the car into the back and went into the office, where he was then rudely accosted for pulling into the back and "blocking everything". He explained that there was no parking and asked the employee to please change his tone. When it came time for the estimate, the man immediately started talking up how expensive it would be since there was probably unseen damage underneath (we're talking abt a broken taillight and bruised bumper--give me a break). My husband asked how much less it would be if we replaced the taillight ourselves, to which he replied "we do it all or we don't do it. We're here to make money, not save you money". My husband had no problem telling him that we would be taking our business elsewhere. If you're looking for certified Honda repair shop in the area, we recommend Acme Auto Body in Highland Park. Arrogance at its best! I had some minor damage to my company vehicle and my fleet management company referred me to this business for an estimate. I called them in advance to see when would be a good time to stop in. Well, Dr. Bangoutadent ONLY provides estimates by appointment. When I entered the building, you would have thought I had three heads, and when I explained to them that my fleet sent me there, they were puzzled and questioned why. While the stink-footed coffee-making self-important receptionist was talking to the fleet in her Martha Stewart wannabee voice, some loudmouth (possibly the owner) was yelling over his cubicle, "Pass, Pass, Pass!". I left disgusted and called the fleet. Their immediate reaction mirrored mine. Arrogance! They have been permanently removed from the fleet's data base. I also sent out a mass email to my 350+ contacts in the area warning them and I received over 100 responses, most saying they have never heard of them. Well, now they have. A business that people have never heard of treating new customers poorly ... sounds like a plan! AVOID!! read more

Customer Service is SORELY lacking here. My car took 2 months to finish (instead of the 4 weeks initially estimated) and the cost for repairs doubled. However, I was not made aware of the increase in cost until the car was finally ready for me to pick up. After the initial 4 week period past, I called a couple of times to find out when the car would be ready. I was given a bunch of excuses for the delay, and NEVER told the job had become more expensive. When I picked up the car, I naturally questioned the increase. Marie became extremely rude and condescending, implying I didn't "understand" what she had initially told me. The owner extended a 1% discount for the "misunderstanding". The repairs were quality work, but I'll never go here again or recommend them to anyone.
