Dropped by during the weekend during the blueberry festival. I had a very irritating experience there today. I had gone there to buy a birthday present for a family friend. Q: "How much are the truffles?" A: "$1.50 each." Q: "How many fit in a box?" A: "15." "OK, I'll take a box of 15." Q: "Do you want to pick them out?" A: 'No, just give me a selection." So, the young lady is back outside with a box of 15 truffles in no more than about 15 seconds. Then she charges me $30 for the box. "Wait a minute. 15 x $1.50 is $22.50 not $30." "Well, we charge $30 for them in a box." So let me get this straight... truffles are $1.50 each, but if you buy 15 of them, the price is $2 each. WTF? It wasn't a particularly fancy box. Just a rectangular cardboard box with some ribbon. Not worth $7.50 or anything close to that. And based on the size of the box, they are very small truffles for $2 each. I needed a gift today. But I'll never go back there. read more

With interesting and stand out chocolates like wasabi or espresso bark, seasonal fudge and figurines, and all kinds of pretzels and covered nuts; it was tricky to choose. But the truffles were the most stand out offerings on the menu and yielded flavors like rum, black raspberry, and cupcake. From truffles, to chocolate covered pretzels, to bacon-dipped chocolate, Bridge Street Chocolates knows what they are doing. Friendly ownership and staff will happily greet you and patiently explain flavors or tastes. They are open most days of the week and until 7 or 8 on Saturdays (great for grabbing hostess gifts).
