They referred me to her for alterations after I showed up for my first alteration appointment and the alterations' woman there failed to show up. Lucky for me though because Sofia is a gem! She is extremely detailed oriented and knows precisely how to make your gown fit like a glove. Her experience and knowledge are evident! She works out of her home, which is warm and inviting. Everything was ready on time, and her work was exquisite. On my gown, she had to undo extensive beading and appliqué on the bodice in order to make the torso and bust fit correctly. I even lost weight a few months before the wedding so my dress was HUGE and since it was a mermaid cut, it needed to be taken in almost everywhere. I had about 5 fittings total (including the final fitting with family to pick up the dress) and I picked it up a week before my wedding on November 17th. Sofia is a top-notch professional that is honest and wants to make everything affordable for you. I just recently got my wedding gown back from her; Not only does it fit PERFECTLY, but she hand-sewn additional beads where she let out the seem. You cannot tell the seem was even let it out! My wedding gown gave me that annoying armpit fat and overall, was too tight on me. After she let the gown out, she sewed on additional beading, which looks identical to the rest of the beading. Sofia even re-shaped the A-line so it hugs my chest perfectly. I was so disheartened when I first started searching for a wedding gown alterations lady because everyone was too dang expensive.
