I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Bridals by Lori. From the moment I walked in, I was met with the most incredible energy and support from Darian, the manager, along with Ashley, Janae, and Lauren. They were truly a hype squad in the best way. Atlanta traffic can be a doozy, and I arrived about 30 minutes late to my appointment. Not only did they still graciously fit me in, but they immediately made me feel welcomed, calm, and celebrated with absolutely no stress or judgment. From the moment I opened the door until they walked me downstairs to the outlet section, I felt so genuinely cared for. After explaining my vision and timeline, they completely understood what I was looking for. They pulled gowns that aligned perfectly with my ideas and then built upon them. We realized that ordering a gown from upstairs would not work within my timeframe, so they seamlessly pivoted and helped create multiple beautiful looks using their outlet selection. I tried on so many stunning dresses, and the care, honesty, and enthusiasm they brought to each one made the experience feel truly special. What stood out most was how far they went to make sure I felt supported. They stayed later than they had to on a Friday evening while closing, never once making me feel rushed. I came to this appointment solo without my bridal squad, and yet I never felt alone. If you are looking for a previous sample at a discount, their outlet is absolutely worth checking out, and I am sure their made to order gowns upstairs are just as stunning. If you are in a time crunch, I cannot recommend their in store samples enough, especially with seamstresses on staff who truly know how to make each dress work beautifully and efficiently. While I ultimately found my dress the next day somewhere else, I cannot stop thinking about how positive, thoughtful, and memorable this experience was. This was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. My son skipped the 11th grade and is attending his senior prom this year. The theme is "Enchanted Garden," and we hoped to find something unique, specifically a green velvet tuxedo jacket. Because our timeline was short, I called shops all over the metro Atlanta area trying to locate one. After numerous calls and searches, Black Tie by Lori was the only place that seemed remotely possible. The next day my son and I drove from Acworth to visit the shop. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and the atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. Janae helped us first and she was wonderful. Darion also stepped in, and together they went above and beyond anything we expected. After seeing our inspiration photo, Janae became excited about helping us create the look. Darion began researching whether a green velvet jacket could be found. At first it appeared unavailable, but he kept looking until he located a green velvet jacket with a black satin peak lapel. He even contacted the manufacturer directly and confirmed that one was available in their warehouse. They called us the very next morning, we placed the order, and when we picked it up the jacket fit perfectly. What we thought would be renting a black tuxedo turned into owning the perfect green velvet jacket for prom. Even while assisting another customer who needed several fittings and a lot of attention, Janae and Darion still made us feel like we had their full focus. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and care made the entire experience memorable. Because of Janae and Darion, this will absolutely be our first stop for any future formalwear needs. What a wonderful experience! If you've been considering booking, I highly recommend asking for Chyna!! My mom had the good fortune of matching with Chyna as her consultant on our visit and it made all the difference for her in her search. As soon as we got to the outlet floor, Chyna was waiting for us, ready to go. She wasn't feeling well, but that didn't take away from the excellent care she provided us and her confidence and kindness shinned through. She already knew what my mom was looking for, referencing booking notes, and after showing her photos of the dream dress prototype my mom wanted, she knew exactly which dresses to pull, all of which were on point. She even "jacked her up" when we got to the dress that could be the one my mom says yes to... We ended up leaving without a dress, but Chyna made sure to save the notes to my mom's account for follow-up and sent us away with all the information for the dress she's considering. A special thank you to Darien for booking the appointment & taking a moment to step end towards the end to offer warm and hilarious moral support - he gave my mom such wonderfully encouraging feedback while she was considering her favorite dress of the day and some T on the exclusive designer of her dream dress. I booked my first dress shopping experience here and was honestly kind of let down. I booked in the outlet section and was met with my person around 10 min after my appointment time. I was asked what I like and want to look at which I gave some photos for inspiration. She proceeded to go pull some dresses for me and we were not allowed to take any photos which I thought was crazy as you want to remember back what you liked or didn't like on yourself. I was never allowed to walk around and look myself and it felt rushed between dresses as she kept mentioning she had to check how much more time she had left. After about 5-6 dresses they didn't offer to see anything else or any other options based on what I liked from the others - maybe because they didn't have anything within my budget, but my appointment ended before my full hour was even up and started after the set time. It just seemed like they wanted you in and out, especially if they didn't think you were serious about buying. I would not recommend unless you have a specific dress you know they have. read more

The sales associate introduced herself and asked my friend some questions. The dresses are organized by rooms. I'm assuming this is either by designer or style. Attended an appointment with my best friend today to find her perfect dress. We were both so excited as we are both fans of the show but soon after we got to the third floor and told how this process was going to go....we started to get a bit underwhelmed and disappointed. For some backstory, the day before we had two appointments at two other shops where we were greeted with super friendly consultants and offered beverages and seats and told to be comfortable and they could pull dresses for us or we could look around. We went into today with the thought that she would just allow the expert to pull what she thought would work best for her body type without telling her any ideas of what she likes or doesn't like because the day before proved to be rather difficult in finding the perfect dress when focused on specifics instead of letting the expert work their magic. Here are some things of note you can expect for your trip to this boutique. 1. They will NOT be pulling any dresses for you. You will be instructed to go to the third floor and check in to the desk. They will tell you to go from room to room which are separated by designer and you may pull up to 7 dresses to try on. The price tags are all color coded for sizing so we were told what color tags to look for which did make that part a little easier. Ok so our plan was squashed and we were back to trying to figure out what to pull. 2. The dressing room areas are filthy. Do not wear shoes that mean you will end up barefooted at some point. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in quite a while. 3. You will not be offered a beverage of any kind (at least we weren't until we were getting on the elevator to leave) 4. The most frustrating and disappointing part of the whole thing is being told that I couldn't do my part that I was there for and that was to help my friend out with pictures and take notes about her likes and dislikes of each dress she tries on. NO PICTURES ARE ALLOWED UNLESS SHE SAYS YES TO THE DRESS!!!! This is the most absurd rule ever. One of the first things my friend said to me yesterday was she was happy she had the pictures to review of the other dresses because she was so overwhelmed she couldn't keep them straight in her head. So for a bridal shop to not allow something so basic and something that eases the stress of the bride really made us mad and honestly made us want to just leave. I've helped many friends at many bridal shops in several states and this is the first shop I've ever seen with this rule. 5. Wear something comfortable and cool it's very warm in there with all the spotlights. My friend did find the only dress that brought tears to her eyes here but it was also way over her budget and I'm fearful she has now over extended herself for a dress. The other boutiques were way more affordable. This shop did have plenty in the $2-3k range but this dress ended up at over $7k while the sticker was $5200 because of fees and things like adding on straps etc. some things were a shock to me. Apparently if your want a corseted top there's not a charge but if you want to order a custom size it's $2500 more? So basically because everything in the shop is a sample and you have no choice but to order the dress...if you don't like a corset then your dress is going to cost you an extra $2500 just to have a sized dress. Somehow this feels like car shopping. Here's the sticker price but we are doing this fee and that fee and now it's $10k more lol. Anyway...just some things to keep in mind. read more

NEGATIVE 0 Stars! BEWARE Brides over the size 12-14! I'm normally a size 14-16 in dresses but 18-20 in wedding gowns. Went here last week, I arrived and checked in 2 minutes after my appointment time and had to wait downstairs to fill out a phone form I filled out online already the day before, pushing me about 15 minutes over before they sent us upstairs. I had a consultant by the name of Erica. You can tell she was irritated the moment we walked off the elevator and saw I was her bride. Erica had the worst attitude and made my experience feel completely rushed. She kept asking if I tried on wedding gowns before, I told her yes. She had me go through like 4 to 5 rooms of gowns and just pick what I think I might like but making sure I know only blue tags are "plus size friendly" but I still will not fit completely on any of the dresses there. My guests and I were placed in the very back corner, it felt dark, cold, and claustrophobic not much room to move around once I'm on the small circle stage with these gowns on and not block the walk way as well. The chairs my guests sat on that circled me were close, hard and uncomfortable. We felt hidden and trapped back there. The main stage with all the light and open comfortable couches were open so I don't understand why we didn't get a seat/room out there. During most of my appointment I had like 5 other staffs around me even Lori popped up here and there. It's not at all glitz and glam like how they portray on the TLC tv show at all! I felt no where as beautiful in the gowns as I thought I would, I had more anxiety than anything and was ready to leave by the second gown I tried on. Also you're not allowed to take photos in the gown so I had to go base on memory if I even had a gown in mind. Erica vibe was completely disgusting toward a bride my size, kept saying "not your size" or " it's not going to fit you" and even mockingly say "thank you for wearing spanx today because it would help her out a lot" like yes I understand I'm bigger size but at least sell me the hopes of making me feel like beautiful bride while trying on 5-7k wedding gowns. I was fortunate enough to meet Megan Scott several years ago and knew that I wanted her to be my bridal consultant when the time came for me to get my dress. I had such a wonderful experience!!! Megan was beyond helpful, a consummate professional and made sure I was taken care of from the moment I walked into the salon to the moment I left. She has a wonderful and personable way about her that allowed me to feel so cared for and appreciated! Her excitement got me even more excited about my wedding! Addendum - we did receive a call and profuse apologies from the management at Bridals by Lori and request that we return the next day for a new appointment. Had it been up to me, I would not have gone back, but because there were dresses my daughter really wanted to see at that location, we went and we were treated the way we should have been treated from the first moment we went in the store at our original visit. My daughter is very generous of spirit and forgave the original mistreatment. I however am not sure I could ever forget the mistreatment from that consultant or forgive the ruining of her day. read more

Below is my review I posted on Google. It's since been removed.... Shortly after, I received a threatening letter from the owner of Bridals by Lori demanding I remove my review. My review was a fair and detailed account of my experience, one in which I am entitled to sharing. All opinions are my own. Clearly, people have different experiences and perceptions. While there are numerous points in her letter that I continue to contradict, the threatening nature of this letter seems way over the top. Original post: I do not recommend bridal gown shopping at Bridals by Lori. I will say, my consultant Flo was great, and took the time to listen and understand what I really wanted. She offered great suggestions and the dress I almost purchased was actually one she pulled. However, my real issue was with Lori. She basically busted into our appointment, didn't even ask my or my parties names, and began pulling dresses from her private collection for me to try. She had no idea what kind of dress I wanted but made sure I tried on 3-4 of the 'Lori Allen' collection. Each time I came out in one, she doted on how great it looked on me. Surprise surprise, when I came out in a dress that wasn't in her collection, she gave me underhanded insults like the dress made me too 'boobalicious' and 'I think you can do better'. As I mentioned earlier, I selected the dress Flo had pulled and was literally 2 minutes to paying. Lori came back to consult on my sizing and recommended a different size, which I kindly declined. Essentially, she shamed me for the next 10 minutes telling me 'A size is about 15 pounds, do you think you can do that?' - This lady doesn't even know my name?! When I said, yes and I'm not worried about it (even though the size I selected was the sample and fit perfectly) she yelled loud enough for a lot of people to hear "ALRIGHT GIRLS, SHE'S GONNA LOSE THE WEIGHT!" and walked back out onto the floor. I was mortified. As we were checking out, I got a feeling that this was not my dress. Partly because I wasn't madly in love with it but mostly because I didn't want to give my money to such a mean woman's business. I backed out at the very last minute and walked out of the store feeling defeated and embarrassed. Thankfully, a smaller store in Atlanta called The Sentimentalist had an opening that same day. I cannot recommend The Sentimentalist enough. Amazing staff, excellent and unique selection, great price points, and SO KIND. I'm from the south, I have a very thick skin and typically do not let other peoples opinions faze me, but Lori was extremely rude, intrusive, and abrasive. If you do go to Lori's and have a similar experience as mine, please know that no matter your size, taste, or budget, there are other places in the area that will treat you with respect. *** Go to WHITE MAGNOLIA BRIDAL COLLECTION *** (They were AMAZING and we got our dress for the same price, more unique, clean, beautiful and a phenomenal experience) I ALWAYS try to find at least ONE thing that I like but this appointment was on the edge of RIDICULOUS. Our experience was honestly horrible. We came in with HIGH spirits, bubbling and excited. We'd just had lunch, laughed and was looking forward to a fun, memorable experience with each other as we helped my sister find her dream dress! Our joy came crashing down when we encountered Bridals by Lori. The store felt cold and sterile, the employees were not warm, friendly or welcoming to us. It was very business as usual, however we did not let that deter us and we powered on. Until we got to our consultant. Didn't greet us (she was busy, Amanda [I believe], said she'd help for a second while Kayla finished up, [We actually only found out her name because we overheard her talking to a co-worker that called her over.] When she did come over, she started with something like. "So what did you pick?" She never acknowledged the bride or that we were a big group with her, I don't think she asked my sister's name. She also did not give us any information on how everything would go or what direction the appointment would start. Not personable Didn't help with dressing: she stood in the same corner of the room the entire time. My sister had to try on everything herself, no help, and she wasn't clipped or fitted into the dress until we asked if Kayla could assist. We felt Rushed: we came on time for our appointment, but from the moment we arrived we felt like we were in the way of something. Entered her on personal opinions/style she made sure to point out when she felt something was ugly by making faces or not being helpful when we asked questions about it. I could tell my sister felt uncomfortable when she liked or wanted to consider something that Kayla visually did not agree with. Her negative attitude was infectious to our whole group. We all sat very silently for the first half of the session, until one of us said.. " is it just me or....?" at which, the whole group agreed wholeheartedly that the experience was not fun at all. No bridal experience; it felt like being at a regular ross. Our consultant did not pull any dresses, or listen to my sister to see if there was any clues she could gather to help her find something she loved. Honestly feels like she hates her job, this was soo awkward, and what was worse no one else really seemed like they were having a good day either. The dresses were often dingy. Ivory was beige, all of the dresses seemed dirty and worn. Nothing we experienced felt clean, crisp or new. She was so fun and kind and made a day I was so nervous about, one of the most fun days I have ever had. Revising: This shop will absolutely give you a green and ignorant associate and expect to train them on your time. I think it's pretty acceptable to be patient and overlook mistakes with a new employee at a fast food restaurant but not at a wedding dress shop where you are about to drop thousands of dollars. The new sales associate was nice but had absolutely no idea what they were talking about and had no knowledge of the inventory. Bridals by Lori will also take no responsibility for a poor experience they provide. My group was completely shocked that this shop provided such a chaotic and terrible experience. I found me dress at Wedding Angels and would highly recommend that shop or White Magnolia and Lovely Bride. They create a fun, informative, and productive visit with a variety of unique new designer dresses and VERY knowledgeable and attentive associates. In the end a sales associate is SO important and can make or break an experience. You hopefully only shop for a wedding dress once and every shop should try to create a memorable, positive and exciting visit. --- Do not go here. This was one of the worst experiences I had. This was my second store and they gave me a brand new sales associate who had no idea what they were doing and had no knowledge of the dresses. Multiple people had to assist her and at one point I had (3) other associates in my very small dressing room helping her do her job. When I described what I was wanting she brought back completely different dresses than described. She also had no idea how to clip in the dress to size. At other dress shops I had sales associate who asked thoughtful questions and created a calming environment to help me narrow down my top choices. They also respected my privacy and would hand me dresses from outside or set up dresses in the room then step out. This woman was in the dressing room with me shoving multiple gowns back into bags and tossing over dresses for me to put on. This space is also very dark with dirty floors. Even the front desk staff who check you in were not very friendly. They reminded me of TSA staff who barked at you with no greeting. Most the the dresses I tried on were pretty but a majority of them I have seen before and they did not provide much of a unique selection. ALSO they do not let you take pictures. It was surreal seeing the same people you've seen in Say Yes To the Dress Atlanta! But be aware, this place isn't for everyone and I would advise you to leave this place as one of your last stops. The reason being is that they offer a certain amount of discount only on your first visit here. I believe it was 10% and the day I went, they had a special deal of 12%. With this in mind and that their dresses are just damn gorgeous, it'll be hard to leave without a dress but hard to make that crucial decision at the same time so make sure you scope out everywhere else you want to visit beforehand as this was one of my regrets, in additon to the fact that i didnt bring my crew with me other than my mom. Bridal by Lori is located on Hammond/Roswell road in the shopping Plaza across from Canton Cooks. It has a private parking lot and once you enter, there's a waiting room and restroom that is currently in renovation. For wedding dresses, take the elevator upstairs and voila, you'll see all the bells and whistles. When we entered our coordinator was still finishing up with her previous clients that we were just waiting aimlessly. Luckily Lori ^^ saw that and got her staff to help us right away. BBL has about 10 rooms divided by designers where they let you pull dresses of your choice and put on the hanger. Needless to say, I went through each and one of the rooms and picked out all the dresses that caught my attention. Make sure you don't forget to check out the sale room where they sell sample dresses at a significantly lower price. So the dress I got was a dress that the coordinator had picked out but it was the first dress I tried on and the last one. Should have known when I was hesitant to take it off to begin with. But I must have tried on about 8 dresses in all and all dresses were just splendid in its own ways. I loved my coordinator and loved that she knew what she was doing. Also, get ready to be comfortable with them as they are in the room with you to put on and off dresses. Couple other things worth mentioning. - Dresses start at $2500 other than Tara Keely line. - If you want dresses below $1500, they do not provide you a coordinator so mine as well make an appt for full selection and browse the sample sales as well, budget permitting. - They do not allow pictures unless you decide to buy. Unfortunately we have completely forgotten to take pics in the dress at the end =/ - There's only 24 hour cancellation period, where you only forfeit $500. I honestly decided to go to Loris just to experience it, since I had watched the show for so many years. It was the first place I went dress shopping, and I went into it with a "just for fun" mindset- with zero intentions of actually getting my dress that day. Flo was my consultant, and was an absolute DOLL. I showed her pictures of a few dresses I loved and she pulled 3-4 for me to start with. We also walked around and pulled some to try. I ended up falling in love and buying the first dress Flo put me in- she was SPOT on! She made sure I tried on other options but the first one was so perfect. Lori was so sweet and congratulatory and very hands on. She was the one who measured me and helped choose veil length, head piece etc. From shopping to alterations it truly was an amazing experience. The suits and everyone except Sandra Riley were incredible. Each time dealing with Sandra she was passive aggressive and continually made me feel bad for not following her process. My suit was returned on time in their dropbox, but she wanted my name on it. Am I supposed to use my label maker to make her job easier? Each garment has a barcode, look it up. Each of my groomsmen had measurements from out of state tailors. She complained because each measurement wasn't done in a uniform fashion the same way. So all groomsmen in different states were supposed to use the same tailor for fitting? Bridals by Lori staff was amazing, Sandra needs work. TLC or no TLC, I won't be back if I have to deal with her. read more

Flo made all of my dress dreams come true. I met with her on a Sunday afternoon and she worked with me for 2.5 hours. At the end of our appointment she put my dream dress together however my mom wasn't there. She didn't even blink an eye when she offered me another appointment the following weekend for my whole crew to come back. She spent another afternoon with me and my crew showing off our dress creation. She was so patient and listened to exactly what I was looking for in a dress. This review of Bridals by Lori is written from a groomsman's perspective. This is a well known Atlanta bridal store among females, but there is a men's department as well. It's known as Black Tie by Lori and is located downstairs. They sell and rent out tuxes and suits. The bride and groom did an excellent job choosing the groomsmen's suits. I loved the look. We had slim fit grey suits with white shirts, white suspenders, gold ties, and black shoes. It was a simple yet sharp and elegant look. This is something I am looking for in a suit I want to own. I liked the look so much I inquired about purchasing. The suit was $599. This price was not unreasonable. Rental fees count towards the purchase of any suit -- it doesn't have to be the same style as the rental suit. The suits looked terrific. The groom and his groomsmen looked stunning (if I do say so myself). There were a few hiccups in the rental process. I got measured for my suit months in advance. When I went to pick up my suit, the shoes were forgotten from my order (even though they were listed on my receipt), my shirt had broken buttons, and my pants needed to be re-hemmed. It was a good thing I went to pick up my suit early, so I could try it on and work all these kinks out. My fellow groomsmen had similar experiences. I have rented tuxes and suits from other businesses and never ran into these kinds of problems before. I had to make an extra trip to the store to allow for shipping time of the shoes and for my pants to be re-hemmed. The shirt was replaced on the spot. The shirt I received still had some broken buttons, but they were functional. This is the first time I have ever seen a dress shirt with broken buttons. Then again, this was a rental suit, so I wasn't too perturbed. Along those lines, the suit did not fit perfectly (and for a rental, one should not expect it to). I'm a skinny guy and the shirt and pants were a little baggy. The jacket fit nicely, however, and I was stoked to find they carried size 34 short for that particular suit. Score. The rental worked out to be about $185 per suit. Since it was an out-of-town wedding, we were allowed extra days to pick-up and drop-off the suit, which was nice. I was helped by a few different folks during my visits. The only person whose name I remember is Danny and he seemed knowledgeable and gave good advice and tips in regards to my suit. The entire staff was polite and helpful. In summary, the suits looked great. Just be sure to pick up and try on early in case any adjustments need to be made. read more

As what someone else posted previously, just because it is on TV, does not. Make it legit. I was begged to try the place for groomsmen outfits. I was a lil hesitate because I know their specialty is Bridal dresses. The procedures leading up to getting the outfit was fairly easy. Submit names of groomsmen and then the month before the wedding date, submit sizes. Yea it seemed easy, but SEVERAL of the groomsmen sizes were extremely off. Even two days before the wedding, their alterations machine was broken, but there was one in their bridal department, but they still had to send it another store to get it fixed. Mind you, it was coming into Easter weekend and their main person was out as well. If guys from all over the country to get their outfits, don't give us the excuse "I don't know what to tell you" FIX IT! We payed for a service, you have to provide adequately to what we paid . Also the ring bearers outfit was jacked up as well in which he couldn't even wear his jacket. Long story short....go to MENS WAREHOUSE!! read more

Every time someone asks for a recommendation for a bridal shop to go to I immediately respond "anywhere but Bridals by Lori". The service is absolutely terrible. I was recommended by my future sister in law who got a dress here in the early 2010s, so this was the first place I visited. I'm not sure if she was an exception, or if the quality progressively became worse as the years went by, but either way would not recommend. Prior to the appointment, you fill out an initial form online, followed by a form day-of. I was initially excited that the person helping us would know about what I was going for as a future bride only to find it was evident she had spent 0 amount of time reading the form.  The lady attending us was extremely judgemental and rude, making sneering comments about my preferences, and recommending dresses that completely missed the mark. She at one point even said "don't even bother" when I asked if I could see a selection (they are divided into sections by designer). Ironically after I finally looked, I found a dress that I really liked. The worst part of the experience wasn't even how the attendant treated me, it was how she treated my wheelchair-bound future mother in law. She basically treated her as an afterthought, and the few times my mother in law could get her attention she was dismissive of her. I can handle bad treatment, but I have a really low tolerance when this behavior is exhibited toward my future mother in law, who had envisioned a nice time bonding with her future daughter in law that day.   The reason I didn't buy a dress is 100% due to the service of the attendant. I will forever hold a bad taste in my mouth whenever someone mentions this place. read more

I was super excited for my appointment on Friday at Bridals by Lori. Sadly, after arriving the excitement quickly went away. Once we got to the Bridal floor (3rd floor), we were greeted by a stylist. She told us to look around because she wasn't sure who my stylists was going to be. I had this appointment for two weeks, so I didn't understand why my stylist wasn't already selected. My mom and I looked around and waited for my stylist to appear. I had a vision of what I wanted, but couldn't seem to find it on my own. I thought that's where the stylist would come into play, to assist me in finding my vision or at least close to it. Eventually, we were told Marta would be our stylist. Well, 25 minutes later, she finally showed. When we met Marta, she seemed to be rushing us. Everything seemed to move at warp speed, which I was confused, since we were on time and she was late. I also didn't feel like she was really helpful and kept selecting dresses that were truly no where close to the pictures I showed her. Additionally, I didn't like that she was in the dressing room while I changed. She didn't ask if I was comfortable with her being in there and it really caught me off guard. There was one stylist, who I believe was training, but I can not remember her name, but I believe it started with a T? She was more helpful than Marta and she actually picked out the only two dresses that were somewhat close to what I was looking for. I was really looking forward to my dress shopping experience here, as this was my first time looking. Unfortunately, I didn't leave with a warm and fuzzy feeling. I felt drained, rushed, and pressured to say yes to the first dress I tried on. We also didn't know that you can not take pictures until you purchase the dress. This was an interesting policy to me, especially since Marta stated that the dresses could not be found anywhere on the internet. So what's the problem with taking a picture??? Overall, I didn't enjoy the service here and I highly doubt I will be back. I've talked to other people and reading some of the other reviews, this seems to be the normal behavior here, so just beware! read more

I would not recommend anyone go to Bridals by Lori. This was my third appointment trying on dresses, so I already had an idea of what I wanted and had a favorite dress from another salon. When we arrived to our appointment the consultant asked to see my favorite dress, she then began to talk badly about the dress. She said it was not worth the price, and I could get that dress anywhere. It was insulting to hear the consultant talk poorly about the dress that is now going to be my wedding dress. We went around and pulled dresses after I had explained my vision and she kept pulling out dresses that were obviously not what I had mentioned. I do not think she understood what I was wanting in a wedding dress and it seemed she was judging me for what I wanted. I am very into plain satin ballgowns and she kept trying to pull dresses with lots of lace and detailing. While trying on dresses none of them were doing it for me and she was grasping at straws trying to find a dress that I would like. She ended up pulling a dress that was similar to my favorite dress from the other store, but it was more expensive than my favorite and $2,000 over budget. I could tell my time at this appointment was more about her making a sale rather than me finding the dress of my dreams. I am from Nashville and we drove for this appointment. She asked me and my mom how we liked Nashville and we talked about how we have loved living there. She then went on to talk about how she hated her visit to Nashville and did not understand why people like it. It was just very rude to talk to clients that are from Nashville. After all of this I was just ready to leave. I did not have a good feeling at the appointment and was just ready to get out of there. She did not want me to leave the appointment early and was pressuring me to try on dresses that I had no interest in trying on. Eventually, I told her I wanted to get dressed and if I saw another dress after making another look through the floor I would try it on. Of course, I did not find one that I wanted to try on. We were trying to leave at this point and I told her that my favorite dress from the other salon is the dress that I want and I could not get it out of my head when trying on dresses today. She continued to talk bad about this dress to me as we were just trying to leave. Overall, would not recommend. Also, it is very stupid that you are not allowed to take photos in the dresses. I have looked back at all of the photos I have from other salons to help make my decision because it can get very confusing when you try on several dresses in a short amount of time. I am just very thankful I had two other great bridal gown shopping experiences because this one was horrible. I did not leave feeling good at all and that is not how this experience is supposed to be. The consultant was very unprofessional and has left me with this poor experience to think back on when this is supposed to be the most exciting time. read more
