Every store takes things back if you use a card. They also oversell you on things you really don't need. I noticed that right away and should've walked when I experienced the hard sell. I wouldn't believe anything these people say. I will NEVER go back to this store. There are plenty of other luggage stores you can purchase from. Plus, there is always Amazon. It's stores like this that push customers toward online shopping.

Recently one of the 4…read moreroller board wheels started to separate, which would "catch", making it difficult to walk with the bag. I first checked with 3rd party luggage repair shops. A highly rated shop did not repair Tumi (unable to get parts). I read that Tumi stores can do some repairs, and I called the local outlet store in Livermore (few miles away). Since this was an outlet store, I was prepared to be told that I need to contact a "standard" store. I talked to Dillon, who said he can take a look. When I got to the store, I first talked to a Tumi Sales associate who told me that the repair process is to 1) pay $25 (non-refundable), to ship the roller board to a central Tumi repair site. 2) After they review and pricing the repair, they would contact me. 3) I could OK the cost of the repair, or if I wanted the bag returned, it would cost another $25. Note - this official repair process & pricing seems reasonable, as a replacement bag is likely $700-$900. I mentioned I talked to Dillon about the repair and my bag was taken to the back. I was told that Dillon would take a look. After a few minutes, I was told to come back in about an hour. When I came back, wheel assembly was replaced. While the replacement is not exact (the bag is 10 years old), it was similar and you really can't tell. When I asked about the repair cost, they told me there was no cost. In an age of being "nickeled & dimed" for everything, this was a total surprise. I am not aware if this is "standard" policy, or if this store (and Dillon) was doing a favor. Nonetheless I cannot let such a positive experience go without mentioning.

Service - Last visit (review) service here was 6 stars. Today's service was just okay. Price - Prices are above average, but you are getting a quality product with a reputable name brand. Well, I feel the quality is slowly dropping for the outlet specific products. They have outstanding selections in the store and provide excellent customer service. I usually found a few Kipling bags in the department store. They look good at a reasonable price. However, the outlet store here has many more choices of all the different bags with lots of styles and colors. They have promotions whenever I'm here. Their clearance section has lots of good deals. I'm finally getting around to writing this review, but I went there 10/28/24 and bought a Muttmover Luxe bag that was on final sale. Having also owned another Muttmover bag that has held up, I had confidence this one would as well... I was wrong. In about a month, with very little use, the mesh screen had ripped. No worries I thought. They have a limited lifetime warranty! So I went back to the store 1/1/25 and a less than friendly associate took my info for shipping to their repair team. Oh well, at least they helped me with a free repair, right? Wrong again. The care team claimed it was wear and tear or excessive abuse caused by my dog... This is a dog backpack! If it can't stand up to a roughly 7lb Yorkie, then what good is it?! The only option was to pay a repair fee almost equal to what I had paid for the backpack. I refused to do so because Timbuk2 clearly refused to stand by their product. It's unfortunate that this has soured me on Timbuk2. The previous version of this Muttmover was fantastic, and is clearly superior in quality. But they've lost me as a customer since they couldn't repair my bag under warranty. My dog has since crossed the rainbow bridge... It's too bad he couldn't enjoy the bag more while he was still around.
