I have found my new favorite ice-cream place! Simply AMAZING! Plenty great vegan flavors which are so hard to find. Friendly staff and good seating area outside. Great place to bring your family and friends! I got cherry and chocolate flavor, I personally didn't like cherry flavor, it was very thick whereas chocolate was HEAVEN! read more

A perfect little stop on the Monon, or a car ride away, BRICS is an adorable little ice cream parlor sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! After walking at Eagle Creek in 95 degree weather, we decided to replenish our calories in ice cream. They have a large wrap around patio that is dog friendly. Once inside you take a number and try to decide on a flavor (or 5!) from their expansive menu. They have root beer floats, banana splits, vegan options and milkshakes in addition to their unique ice cream flavors. The portions are large and a bargain for the price. Whether you're having a bad day, a good day or any day in between, Ice cream solves every problem, and BRICS has you covered. read more

Very friendly staff that provides delicious ice cream treats. Open hear round so even in the winter you can get your ice cream fix.

I have lived in Broadripple for three years and just tried BRICS. Why haven't I come here before? I don't know but Hands down the best ice cream in Indy. It is so rich and creamy. The best part is that a regular is three heaping size scoops. This means three kinds of deliciousness in one visit. The wait staff is efficient and attentive. You take a number when you arrive but the wait time is minimal. There is outside and inside seating. While eating, a staff member will come around several time to give you water to quench your thirst on a hot summers day. When in Broadripple be sure to visit. read more

Love this spot! Ice cream is great, lots of places to sit, and fast service. I love Blue Moon ice cream, and they've got a great scoop. Plus an extensive list of other flavors, both normal and speciality. Love that you can order inside or from the window off of the monon. read more

Fantastic!! Love the chocolate covered cherry ice cream. They also have a pretzel cone, which is great with a chocolaty ice cream. On a hot summer day, we ate outside. A girl comes around with much appreciated ice water. I hate that ice cream is now almost $4 per scoop, but it was pretty delicious. read more

I had Strawberry and Vanilla on a waffle cone. They gave me two big scoops. Oh yeah! I believe it was hot that day and this creamy sweetness hit the spot. The Brics t-shirt I bought was overpriced, but it's very soft and form fitting. (I'm buff, you see.. LOL) Check out Brics whenever you're in Broad Ripple. Good stuff... read more

YUM! I love the Caramel x 3...and my dog loves that they leave out a water bowl for her too. read more

Brics - Blackberry. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

Oh how I love BRICS. I have never had a bad experience here. The ice cream is phenomenal. The service is always amazing. And the atmosphere feels like home. Let's start with the atmosphere. Located close to broad ripple on the monon this place is perfect for an end of an exercise treat or for the perfect ending to a nice meal in the village. The inside is cute and clean and the outside patio is large with plenty of seating options and tons of people watching on the monon. The service is always great! Ordering can get a little hectic but they offer you the option to order from inside of the building or outside on the patio. The best part is that sometime during your visit, someone will come and offer you ice cold water in glass cups. It's the little things like this that make BRICS my favorite ice cream spot in all of Indy. Last but absolutely not least is the cherry on top (sorry for the bad puns) is the ice cream. The number of flavors they provide is astounding. Everything from vegan gelato to rainbow sherbet to every creamy decadent flavor in between is absolutely perfect. It's ice cream how it should be and not the mass produced taste you get from other ice cream shops. My personal favorites include the chocolate choo choo, strawberry, and turtle. Tyler's is definitely the yellow cake batter. The size of the ice cream are generous for the price. If you are looking for a happy place for any occasion...this is it. read more

Wonderful ice cream and employees. First rate. Not cheap but quality awesome!!!out door atmosphere very pleasant.

Brics is an Indy staple perfect for hot summer days when you're walking the Monon. Stop in after having lunch at Public Greens or Canal Bistro and then stroll while you eat your ice cream if the weather's nice. If the weather isn't nice though, you can relax in Brics with a fire in the winter, and fun conversation cards year round. Wouldn't get 5 stars though without high quality delicious ice cream with lots of flavor options. read more

This ice cream shop was delicious! Seemed like a local shop you had to know about as it was at the end of a dead end street off the main road. The atmosphere is inviting and there were so many dogs there! It's great locals can bring their pups! The ice cream was delicious. Had a scoop of the chocolate peanut butter and Carmel. It was delicious! Rich and creamy. Would definitely recommend to stop by! read more

I am so incredibly embarrassed that I haven't taken the time to write this incredible business a review yet!! I've been here so many times and have never left disappointed. First of all BRICS is a one of a king ice cream shop. All of their ice cream is homemade and all of it is delicious. In my opinion the best value is the Tour de BRICS. It is four scoops of ice cream and you can choose up to four flavors with it. This is the best in case you can't decide what you want, can't agree on a flavor because your wife wants something that you don't and you aren't willing to give in again because you love a specific ice cream more than life itself, or even if you have so many favorites you can't pick just 1 or 2 flavors. My absolute favorite flavor that this establishment has is the blackberry ice cream. It's so creamy and delicious and great that it should be illegal. But if this is illegal please arrest me because I'll break the law every single time. It is a tad warm in the summer if you choose to sit inside but they do have fans going as well as outside seating just in case you would prefer a nice breeze instead. If you want to do yourself a favor and treat yourself please visit BRICS and get some ice cream. Future you will thank past you later. read more

This place is right off the monon, so easy access by foot or car! Will always be my go to for ice cream treats in broad ripple

Really delicious ice cream! Nice young kids working at the ice cream counter. They saw my dog and offered her a pup cup which she loved. Nice environment and room to spread out and social distance. Great to have such a nice ice cream shop in our neighborhood read more

Beat ice cream I've ever had and it's conveniently placed right on the Monon If you ever come on a run on the monon you better come here and taste the delicious ice cream they have. If the great food isn't enough then you better come here with your dog and a pup cup. read more

We LOVE that Brics has multiple vegan flavors that aren't all fruit sorbet. It's a wonderful location with a stellar patio! Highly recommend

So let's review about why BRICS is so good and stands out from some of the competitors: Healthy portion sizes: I ordered a sundae that clearly says "one scoop" on the board but I definitely saw the cashier use his scoop three times. Huge selection of ice cream, including a few gelato options. Prices are reasonable Warmer months mean outdoor sitting and basically becomes a dog colony. Only real downside is the lack of parking and how busy it gets on weekend nights. Use that as an excuse to park far away and work off some of the calories. read more

Dear BRICS, I feel we have a love/hate relationship. I love your ice cream, the friendly staff (who walk around delivering water to your table,) and your location right next to the Monon Trail. I love that I can ride my bike right up to your patio, grab some ice cream, and then keep on riding. I also love that there's dedicated parking for the days when I saw "screw it" with the bike and just drive up to your doors. I love how my hot fudge sundae comes out in an old fashioned sundae dish. I, however hate the lines that form around the ice cream counter, causing confusion on who is next. I hate how the "now serving" numbers have been disregarded every time I've been in there, and how the mens room seems to be out of order quite regularly. I also hate how much I love your ice cream, dang-it, but I love how fun it is to sit outside on the patio and watch all those people "exercising" drool as they pass by. I think you picked a great location.. I'm sure you pick some of those weak ones off the trail, luring them in with the smells of ice cream and freshly made waffle cones. I mean.. how do you think you got me? :) read more

Our first visit to BRICS was during the last day of Chowdown Midtown during which my husband and I took advantage of their factory tour deal - $5 for 5 scoops. It was delicious. And creamy. And amazing. We sat outside in the shade and it was perfect. Several additional lovelies: -The old "take a number" method of ordering. Nobody likes that goober who pushes to the front of the line, crowding out everyone else. -The ability to sample as many flavors as needed to make sure your choice is a good one. -Being continuously offered water, because everyone needs water when eating 5 scoops of delicious dairy. read more

Hands down a 5 out of 5! The selection of ice cream is outstanding and the wait staff is incredibly patient while you're trying to make a decision. They even offer samples if you're stuck on a couple of flavors! I got the caramel x3 and it was delicious! It's the perfect spot to end your visit of broad ripple or even a perfect stop while riding on the trail! read more

The quaintest, most perfect ice cream shop in the best location. Right along the Monon, outdoor seating, and even metal mini spoons for tasting! You can tell it's a locally owned gig right from the get go and it feels like a homey atmosphere. My favorite flavor is the yellow cake batter, totally delicious! Watch out when you order "a scoop" because that means about 3! Look into getting the kids cone is you just want a standard scoop! read more

Brics - Briclet of cookies and cream; waffle cone with whistle stop wake up and chocolate peanut butter - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

I visit Indianapolis once a year for business and last week was my first first time ever checking out Brics. First of all, the whole Broad Ripple neighborhood reminds me of my home (The Bay Area). Organic salad restaurants, cool coffee shops, hipster bars... Anyways, back to ice cream. Yeah. It's great. Ton of creative flavors. Cool setting right by a jogging trail. Clever conversation starter cards on each table. Check it out if you're in need of ICE CREAM. read more

Went with the family and glad I did... we all got different flavors and passed them around... wouldn't suggest this with any 'ol group, unless you are all cool with sharing!?! So many great choices! LOVED the Broadripple Blackberry!!!!! WOW!!! Chocolate peanut butter was pretty good Monon tracks was tasty Coconut almond fudge was fantastic - huge coconut fan always a fan of Chocolate chip cookie dough Pistachio is always a great alternative to any choc or van, very good Whistle Stop Wake Up with the expresso beans is GREAT!!!!!! Love that there are a good deal of options, but not tooooo overwhelming! And all that I have tried are wonderful... but how could it not be, it's ice cream!!! Only down side was the chaos in the store when we arrived... there were kids and moms galore rushing up to the counter, handing over a ticket and then with ice cream in hand rushing out to the back deck, darting here and there and EVERYwhere... I/we took a step back and I thought OMG this place has been taken over by the Wonka golden ticket winners... then I realized that there was a birthday party on the patio and all the kids were rushing in and out getting their ice cream fix... so we waited, and waited... finally they were all, mostly all, back outside smearing the likes of Blue Moon and Triple Chocolate all over their tiny faces. THEN there was a few moments of peace to where I could think and taste and decide on these amazing flavors! :) GREAT location on the monon, great dessert stop after a wonderful meal in the area. read more

On a busy day, parking is horrible. I think the whole concept of a ice cream parlor on the Monon trail is great. There's a lot of seating outside on the deck. A lot of people were waiting inside when we came in. It was very crowded where you order and pay. This could've been better configured. You must grab a number and wait to be called. Just like most other ice cream parlors, you can taste the flavors your interested in. There were a couple of disturbing things. The young ladies had long hair and no hairnets. Also one young lady kept playing with her hair. Luckily she didn't serve us. I was satisfied with my ice cream selections. I did appreciate the real dishes and the ability to dine inside. It looks like this place could be a gem. If a couple of things are made mandatory in regards to overall food safety. Not my first choice, but if your running or walking down the trail stop by for a cone. read more

Love this spot! Always long lines, but everyone is in such jolly moods so you don't mind the wait. I love the walk-up window off the Monon. They're open late and have great patio seating. Great variety of ice-cream (I love the Monon Tracks or Yellow Cake Batter). They're open late, too! Servings are HUGE and definitely meet my need for an ice-cream fix. read more

I think this ranks up there with one of the cutest shops I've ever been in, period. The location on the Monon trail is perfect for hot and humid days and draws an even greater crowd in. There's plenty of parking behind the shop and across the street as well! The place is small but their reputation is obviously big, given the size of the crowd on a Tuesday night. It's got convenient operating hours for working parents and people in school as well. I tried to get two scoops in a cake come but was kindly told that it's too big to fit in a cone - so they just stuck the GIGANTIC portion into a cup and topped it with the tiny in comparison cake cone. The ice cream itself is absolutely incredible! My huge portion of Chocolate Choo-Choo was amazing, and my friend's selection of Monon Tracks (I think?) and Cookie Dough had him acting like a five-year old in excitement. The people who work at the counter are very friendly and looked like the handle both crowds and children really well. The lady walking around with complementary ice water was a nice touch, too!! The only thing I was thinking about was the accessibility to people who can't climb the gigantic steps they have on the front door. I'm assuming there's a ramp behind the store into the back door that I didn't see! I hope everyone gets an equal chance to experience this ice cream! read more

Brics - Woah. Two scoops? - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

One of my absolute favorite ice cream spots in Indy!! It's a tiny little train station converted into an awesome ice cream shop--located right on the Monon!! Our favorite flavors include yellow cake batter, tutti-frutti, grasshopper, and (surprisingly) French silk! Parking can be a bit tricky, but sitting outside and watching people go by on the Monon is a lot of fun. Sometimes they even have live music! read more
