Always delicious! The staff is friendly and quick - they have long lines in the summer but always get customers their sweets fast. :) They've added vegan and no sugar added options which are great for a variety of dietary needs. read more

Freakin' deliciously rich and creamy ice cream. They sell Sprecher gourmet sodas, too. We walked the Monon for over an hour in 90+ degree heat and even though we were thirsty and starving and tired our first and only thought as we approached Broad Ripple was Brics... it's that good. The Broad Ripple Blackberry is even better than Graeter's Black Raspberry Chip... an ice cream flavor I thought until recently was the best flavor ever ever ever. Forget frozen yogurt. Eat real ice cream. read more

This is by far my favorite ice cream in Indy. They have tons of flavors and you get a LOT of ice cream with "one scoop". Also let's talk location. Right off of the monon with a huge deck for great people watching. Also inside you have table topics cards that are perfect for groups of friends or dates. It's great getting served glasses of water and being encouraged to sit for a while enjoying your ice cream in this cozy little shop. Whether it's 90 degrees in August or 10 degrees in January I never say no to a trip to Brics! Personal fav flavors are the Superman and coffee flavor as well! read more

Brics - Superman ice cream! This is one scoop my friends! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

I passed Brics several times as I got my exercise on while walking on the Monon Trail. My eyes filled with envy as I looked at all the happy people enjoying their delicious cones. I fantasized about an ice cream sundae as I huffed and puffed along the Monon. I finally finished my workout so is finally my turn to scream for some ice cream! The location is great! Right along the Monon. It's a humid day, so there was a bit of a crowd. Cute facility! Clean and decorated with neat photos of old Broad Ripple. Since I'm a newbie I was given the low down...30+ flavors and free samples. Yes! My kind of place! They had all of the basic vanilla, strawberry, but cool new flavors like Broad Ripple Blueberry. I am such a big kid so I opted for the Superman flavor. I chose one scoop since I did just burn 200+ calories walking on the Monon. They were not lying about giving out generous scoops! Wowsa! One scoop was plentiful. They also serve pie, brownies, and cookies. I wanted to try the brownie, but I fought temptation. Since it was so humid I stayed inside and enjoyed the AC. One of the staff members even brought me some water without being asked. Next time I want to try the Broad ripple Blueberry! This just might be my new happy place! read more

Brics - Book + ice cream = one happy me! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

My favorite thing to do at Brics is to get a Tour de Brics. Sure they give a good portion for a single scoop in a cup, but why do that when you can get the tour? Who cares if it may be too much ice cream to eat? Wait, is there such a thing as too much ice cream? I especially like to come to Brics with my dog and sit outside, rain or shine. The last time I was here a lightning storm and heavy rain came in. But the overhang outside was wide enough to shield my dog, wife, and I from the rain as we sat on the wooden bench with the tour, 2 coffees, and an ice cream treat for my dog. My favorite flavors? I love that blueberry! I also really enjoyed it when they had the Georgia peach. Black cherry is pretty high up on that list. I like the lemon custard, but sometimes it tastes like ginger? That's weird right? Although I have nothing against ginger, I love ginger. Other than those flavors, I feel like the other flavors are pretty standard ice cream fare, or slightly fancier regular ice cream flavors. However, the ice cream is executed much better than your regular ice cream chain. I do wish, however, that they rotate flavors more frequently. Brics is a pretty dangerous place for me. It's conveniently located right on the Monon trail that I walk or ride my bike on to get some sort of physical activity into my life. But that activity is just nullified by the ice cream that I need in my system. read more

Brics - Pre-birthday treat. Lemon custard, black cherry, and blueberry - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

Beautiful, warm and friendly place to make a quick stop for ice cream. Conveniently located on the Monon trail in Broadripple this inviting ice cream parlor has a large indoor and outdoor seating area, a nice fireplace, and comfortable seating. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are dozens of flavor choices. The ice cream was a bit too rich for me. If tasted similar to a custard, which I am not a fan. read more

Such a quaint little ice cream shop in Broad Ripple! There is very limited parking, but the staff is friendly and the ice cream is delicious and extremely well priced. They even had cute table top discussion prompts to keep you entertained while you ate. I will definitely be back! read more

Brics - The small 'Bric' size with a scoop of almond cherry and a scoop of pistachio! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

It feels unfair to give an ice cream shop in Broad Ripple anything lower than 4 stars during the summer months! Brics is delicious and the staff are as friendly as expected! Be aware that Friday-Sunday throughout the summer, wait lines can be a bit long and they may run out of your most wanted flavor by end of night. However, the location is supreme for people watching or enjoying a nice walk on the Monon! read more

Brics - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

We have been to Brics several times and it is always amazing! A ton of different flavors and such a cute location!

The ice cream is amazing. I always do a combo of monon tracks and chocolate peanut butter. Aside from the delicious ice cream, each time I come here, whether it's busy or not, the employees are incredibly rude and act like they don't want to be there. There have been multiple times I say, "hello! How are you?" Just to be ignored and stared at blankly. If the Ice cream wasn't some of my favorite I've ever had, I would refuse to go back due to their super grouchy team. read more

If you are looking for delicious ice cream... Brics is a great option in Broad Ripple. A great variety of flavors and I have yet to had one that I did not like. Not much parking available, but it is just a short walk down the Monon from downtown Broad Ripple which is really enjoyable on nice summer days. There are a few things I find inconvenient with this shop. The service is completed through a number system. You walk in, take a number and wait for your turn. It sounds simple but it always seems to be chaotic as half of the people don't seem to get the system. I wish they would just go to a line. The second inconvenient thing is the size options. The smallest size is two scoops! This makes absolutely no sense. It is expensive... but why can't I make it cheaper by ordering half the ice cream? read more

We've been bike riding with our two little girls and stopping at brics at the end of the ride, and every time Brics has a line down the patio. Despite the long lines, the service and quick so we haven't had to wait much longer than 5 minutes to get to the front, which is perfect for excited 3 year olds! They control the lines and distancing very well. Love the tables set up in the parking lot. We're so lucky to have brics! read more

This is probably my favorite ice cream place in Indy. Let me tell you about it. Numbero uno, the atmosphere. There is a killer patio right off the Monon Trail if it is nice outside. But if it is chilly, sit inside and get to know the people you are with by answering the fun questions they have placed on the tables. Secondly, the employees are awesome. They bring you iced water to enjoy with your ice cream. They don't even get mad when you want to try 10 flavors before you decide on the one you want. Third, the ice cream is REALLY good. I would consider myself a bit of an ice cream fanatic. I'm not picky, but I do know what is good. And Brics is good. My go to flavors are the French Silk and Cake Batter. Best part is that when dining in, the ice cream comes in a cute glass cup with a real metal spoon. Perfect place for a date, catch up with friends, or grab a dessert on the go. read more

As a lactose intolerant human, I make sure to prepare myself for BRICS every sunmer. The late night hours each night make this a great stop while heading down the Monon. BRICS features a huge menu of flavors that you can check out while you wait in the long, but speedy lines. They offer samples of every single flavor and display the cone options along with prices, so there aren't any surprises when you are rung up. Being the uncreative yelper I am, I get the pistachio with a waffle cone every time and am never disappointed. If the outdoor deck is not your style, they also provide indoor seating with windows to also look out and observe from. read more

This is something Broad Ripple really needed. Some good, local ice cream. Flavors change frequently and service is very quick. Don't be intimidated by the huge throng of people waiting to get served -- they turn them out really fast. On my last visit, I noticed that they have pies as well. I'll have to get a slice of blueberry a la mode next time. There is some seating inside, but most people choose to sit on the wood deck facing the Monon Trail for some prime people-watching. read more

I love everything about Brics- the train puns, the atmosphere, the customer service, and oh my goodness the ice cream!! I've never had ice cream packed with such massive chucks of toppings.  Like their Chocolate Choo Choo- there were pieces of chocolate the size of tootie rolls!  Or their Coconut Almond Fudge with coconut flakes and almond slices you could actually see.  They deliver on their flavors. And if you can't decide get the 'Tour de Brics'.  It comes with four flavors of your choice and costs about the same as two briclet cones, perfect for sharing! Or not, no shame in wanting 8 scoops of ice cream all to yourself... read more

Once again, my wife and I enjoyed ice cream at this wonderful old depot on the Monon Trail. This time, I went with the Broad Ripple Blackberry ice cream in a dish. We sat out on the deck beneath the table umbrella to watch folks go by on the trail. While we sat, the server brought out water to help quench our thirst since it was nearing 90 degrees. It was a nice touch that wasn't expected....just good customer service. Some places get it...some don't. Rev #5 read more

Their ice cream is awesome, but the real reason I'm writing this review is the customer service. Their customer service takes the cake. My two year old niece and I have been coming here regularly for our "Auntie Day Out", and the Brics team goes above and beyond to be welcoming and helpful. The whole group is a delightful bunch! Whoever does the hiring must know what they are doing. Bravo! read more

Location, location, location. This place has it. It's literally a couple of feet from the Monon trail - it's right on it. So it's awfully convenient to stop by and consume 800 calories during your exercise that burned 400 calories. Awesome. This place was ranked as having Indiana's best ice cream. Maybe my ice cream palate is not sophisticated enough but I don't taste anything special about the ice cream here. It's not cheap but the portions are fairly generous. But it's just a great place to take a break and people watch. Tip: If you have kids you can order two scoops and have them split them - it's cheaper than two one scoops. read more

Brics - Monon tracks flavor. Like moose tracks. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

Who doesn't love ice cream? There is no bad flavor. There is no bad option. Every flavor is incredible and comforting. This is one of the best ice cream shops I've ever come across. Tip 1: pie a la mode. Trust me. Tip 2: the scoops are HUGE. But they'll let you split your scoop in to two flavors. Do this. On a hot day, it gets a little warm and cramped inside the building. But if it's nice enough to sit on the deck and people watch on the Monon, do it. read more

Walking along the Monon Trail on a warm day or just craving ice-cream? (I don't know about you, but I am always craving ice-cream) Then, look no further than BRICS! BRICS stands for: Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station, and they truly live up to their name! BRICS is a cute little shop right off the Monon Trail, so it is easily accessible, and can provide a sweet treat at the end of a long walk or run. Every flavor that I have had so far is amazing: Coconut Almond Fudge, Pistachio, Mint Chocolate Chip, Blackberry, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk, just to name a few. Unsure of what ice-cream to order? They will allow you to test and sample ice-cream flavors that look or sound interesting to you. The best bang for your buck is going to be the Briclet. The menu may states that is is kid-sized, but trust me, you will get plenty of ice-cream! I have yet to try their milkshakes, gelato, frozen lemonades, or smoothies, but they look amazing and I have no doubt that they taste amazing as well. Enjoy your sweet treat on their wooden patio if it's a nice day. They will also bring you waters and your dog a little treat of doggy ice-cream that they will devour (plastic cup and all if your dog loves ice-cream as much as mine does). I LOVE this place! **The only major downside about BRICS is that it can get super crazy inside if it's a beautiful day outside. Their actual building is not very large, so while you are waiting for your number to get called, don't be surprised if you're standing shoulder to shoulder with someone who is also waiting to put their order in too. The employees can get through orders pretty quickly, but it just depends on how busy they are. read more

I love all ice cream not a lot of ice cream I don't love but this place I won't go back.. me wife and I stopped in on a Saturday night, and this place falls into the same category as the Mexican restaurant down in broad ripple in my opinion... it's all about location because the place sucks. Again my opinion. We walked in and the place was a mad house, take a number and they call our name eventually and ask what we want and then they hand it to some other waiting customer to hand to us? No Order other then the take a number system. Maybe it was just because Saturday evenings are busy but the place was a mad house. We had two flavors mint choc chip which I would say was average definitely nothing special and a blackberry which my wife picked out and we both agreed it tastes pretty bad... hard for me not to finish an ice cream. A small squirt of whip cream on the top is an extra sixty cents the ice cream prices pretty common for broad ripple probably. Won't be returning one of the worst ice cream experiences I have had. Would have rather had baskin Robbins, cold stone, graeters or any of the other ice creams around broad ripple. read more

Conveniently located right in Broad Ripple. This ice cream shop has it all & at very reasonable prices. I visited with my friend on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed, so the locals know how could it is. The wait wasn't long. I ordered the "Butler" pecan, a spin-off of butter pecan to support our local college and the cake batter ice cream. I got them served in a dish style and got at least 3-4 scoops for around $4. I was very impressed. I also tried the peach flavor, which was perfect for a hot summers day. Highly recommend trying out this place! read more

This place is busy!!!! We had to get ticket numbers and wait to be helped. I got their pumpkin and my friend got the famous blackberry. Both ice creams were very creamy and not too sweet which I loved! Ice cream had good texture and flavor. The blackberry has that tangy acidity and sweetness. May vegan options here as well! Brics has become a family favorite that we will always go back to. My husband and I began going while we were dating and continued over the years. We now take our toddler with us. We love the selection of flavors that rhey offer and that they have so many! Oftentimes it feels crowded, but that goes to show that it's a great place. We like sitting outside next to the Monon to people watch or just to have casual conversation. We also appreciate that we can order just a coffee here if that's the sort of mood we're in! This is some of the best ice cream in Indianapolis. Real creamy ice cream. Lots of creative flavors and classics. Never have had a bad flavor here. Most recently had the the Cornell Street Fudge and the Black raspberry with chocolate chip, and I highly recommend both.
