Price is really expensive for what you get. $24 (after tax) for a "X-Large" 16 inch pie? I mean wow. Have no idea who is telling you this is NYC pizza. I've had pizza from BK, LES, to Hoboken, this is not it -I also lived there for years. Also find it very curious as to how 16 inches became "X-large" -are we using European standards now? The mozzarella has that oilly smell I utterly despise and find in lower quality cheeses. That stale lingering one that follows you after you eat it. You know what I'm talking about... Anyway, on the upside, the pizza was hot and cooked really fast! Props for trying speciality type pies as its creative, but the value is not really there IMHO. I mean, if you've read any of the reviews before this, I hope that you don't think that you are going to have that amazing experience that defies Brick's standards. The pizza pretty much alienated everything else on earth that calls itself a pizza. My friend had pretty much swore by this place and after seeing me barely finish the second slice (there were 2 different pizzas ordered), I bet we don't venture down this avenue again. Luckily, through previous exclamations in various other experience, I have pretty much become immune to the hype, but this was altogether no good. The two pizzas were our staples, ordered from any place with the proper ingredients: jalapeño and pineapple on one, sausage and pepperoni on the other. I wish we had just gone to the giant around the corner, it would have tasted better and arrived quicker. The jalapeño/pineapple didn't suck, but I would have much preferred a jar of jalapeños and a can of pineapple. The dough and sauce were entirely without flavor. Perhaps on their menu Brick's should advise that we add our own seasonings? The sausage/pepperoni was undoubtedly a FAIL. How did the over AND under cook the pizza? Mushy dough at the tip and a crust with a crunch? UGH! I'm now mad it's in my refrigerator and that I didn't take it to the trash immediately. Get DiGiorno. read more

This was our first visit to Brick's. They only have one table, so I'd say it's mostly a delivery and carry out restaurant. The wait was a bit long, but it was right after (and for nearby homes, during) a blackout, so they were pretty slammed. We got the thin crust, which was nicely crunchy and very tasty. My husband had the cheese half, and loved it. I had the veggie side, which was quite good, but I would get extra cheese with it next time to balance the veggie flavors. Bricks has been our go to for pies since we moved to Arlington. The pizza is really good. I look forward to trying the thin crust, I keep forgetting to ask for it. But the service is even better. They are always really nice and save you the time of saying your address if you have ordered before. Also, a few weeks ago when we ordered, they were really backed up and a delivery that was quoted as 30 mins after an hour and a half hadn't arrived. So I called to cancel the order (I'm picky about food out in the heat for that long as I have had bad food poisoning experiences in the past) not only did the cancel it, they mailed us out a gift certificate for a free pizza. I had the hand-tossed crust and it was really good - soft, but with just the right amount of firmness that a pizza crust should have. I also ordered 10 hot wings, and they were cooked well. Couldn't ask for more in a neighborhood pizza restaurant. Super fast and fresh, and truly delicious. It's "Friday night comfort pizza" at its absolute best. Their prebuilt pies are awesome, as are any make your own. All ingredients are solid. And all three crust types are tasty, but overall we like the regular (hand tossed) crust best. The best of the best. What else is there to say about Brick's? Six years ago I discovered Brick's Pizza while living in Arlington, and their thin crust has been our go-to order ever since. My wife and I get mad cravings for the deliciously cheesy pizza here, and it's always the first and last thing we eat when we have to go away from DC for a while. The staff is extremely friendly, and the owner, Jeff, goes out of his way to make sure the experience is perfect. The thin crust pizza is perfectly crispy, and the cheese and sauce and veggies are extremely fresh and tasty. Sadly, I am moving to Chicago shortly and one of the things I will miss most about the DC area is my Brick's Pizza. I will have many happy memories of picking up a hot and fresh Brick's pizza and bread sticks, topping it with some fresh oregano right at the counter, and bringing it back in my car to let the aroma fill the space. Now that I am moving, I know when I come back to visit DC Brick's will be one of my first stops. I ordered from here for the first time last night because I felt like trying a new pizza place. First of all, the food came incredibly fast. They quoted 45-60 minutes when I ordered but I think it took about half that. I ordered the cheesy bread, which was pretty good. It could have used some garlic, because it literally just tastes like cheese on bread, but I would order it again. I liked the marinara sauce that came with it but I prefer sweeter sauces. The pizza was weird. When hot, it was basically tasteless. I'm not sure if there wasn't enough sauce on it or if it was overcooked, but it had no flavor whatsoever. It was much better cold this morning, which is something I have never encountered before. I'd probably order it again in a pinch but the cheesy bread was definitely much better. I also felt like the pizza was expensive for the quality and size whereas the cheesy bread is more reasonably priced. read more

Ordered from bricks again since the first time it was exceptional. I have to say I was disappointed this time. I ordered a thin crust with multiple toppings. It looked great however it was soggy and you couldn't even hold a slice without the toppings falling off. Maybe they should have left it in the oven longer. They had a pizza lying around, they re-heated it and sent it out??? Seriously? Actually we have been ordering from this Brick's for 6 years and every couple of years they decide to send out wretched food. First it was cold pizza, lately it is re-heated pizza. Guess it's time to try another pizza place 'cause this one is off our list - again. I guess we are the stupid ones here. Great Great Thin Crust Pizza! Fresh ingredients and cheesy! It was still very hot when it was delivered too, which is rare with thin crust pizza. Also ordered the wings and they were perfect! Not your cheap breaded frozen wings you get from the grocery store. They were just a perfect amount of crispiness, no breading and meat was tinder and juicy! I recommend getting the sauce on the side it was great that way. Delivery was super quick. I order through Eat24 and called Brick directly to ensure they received the order. Love their pepperoni but they get a 1 because they're impossible to order from. They've told me my card is "declined" on repeated phone order attempts, which is ridiculous, and which I only tried because their ordering app, Slice, is UNUSABLE because at least Android version gives no way of completing a request for a password change if yours doesn't work/forgotten. I love Bricks! They are right up the street from my house so its super convenient, but fear not! If you are not lucky enough to live so close, they deliver to nearly any location in Arlington and even some non-Arlington locations! The pizza is always so fresh tasting, especially when it's still hot from the oven. I feel so misled by the comments on this site. This is probably the worst pizza I've ever had. The sauce is so overpoweringly SWEET that it made the slice inedible. If you like really, really, really sweet pizza sauce, you will like this. The toppings, in my case cheese and pepperoni, were mediocre, and definitely not worth the price. I think I paid over $20 for a medium pie so I expected the best. As a frame of reference for how they price things, if you order on the delivery apps, a 2 liter bottle of soda is $7. You read that correctly. The wings, which I paid over $15 for were mediocre. And the cinnamon sticks were just bad. They were really chewy and, I can't explain it, but the consistency/texture of them was just "odd." It wasn't an enjoyable eating experience. I was SO disappointed in Brick's because after tax and tip I paid over $57 and had an experience that was quite bad, and definitely not reflective of the good Yelp reviews. read more
