As a young boy, 50+ years ago, LEGO bricks helped me to hone my creativity and wonder when I built jets and planes. And today, I still have that wonder and creativity that attracts me to LEGO and its abundance of creativity for anyone young at heart. It is so much fun to build with LEGO bricks!!! The LEGO community has expanded exponentially with the help of Social Media and places like Bricks and Minifigs in Oceanside. Don't let the humble entrance deceive you because once you enter you will transported to a place full of wonder and amazement of LEGO. There's a great selection of LEGO products and so many mini figures. You can spend a lot of time here just looking and admiring the vast selections. Found LEGO keychains and was able to sign up for their rewards program. Look for them on Instagram. What will make me return again and again is the knowledge and experience of the staff with LEGO. They are aware of the LEGO community and have their thumb on the pulse of the community. I had a great conversation with Will, a manager at Bricks and Minifigs. I was impressed with his knowledge and understanding of how LEGO has evolved and impacted so many generations of people. Decided to drop in to create a customized mini figure family for a wedding anniversary gift. Pleasantly surprised on the F1 bodies available as the family are McLaren fans. We ended up spending close to 3 hours in the store, but had a blast and the end product turned out better than we expected. Staff were friendly and helpful with our needs, even more-so with our sweet golden, @pete_the_goldenboy, who accompanied us. As aforementioned we ended up spending close to 3 hours sifting and crafting our mini-figs from the table bins, so our backs were aching from bending over during this build, so highly recommend asking for a seating option if you're like us...the demographic that looks for seating options at concerts. This is such a great place for Lego lovers in your life. Here are some reasons why: * You can buy or sell legos * You can make minifigs for as low as $5 (head, body, headwear and accessory; anything else is additional) * They also sell minifigs in the display case and they have almost everything you can think of! * They sell premade legos (behind the counter), and have "ball figs" which are figures premade $6 or 3 for $15 * You can make legos from pieces in the bins at the front of the store (you can fill a small or large plastic container. I believe they have small, medium and large bags now too). This is kind of what they have at the store in Legoland by the entrance, but this store is a great option for those who don't have Legoland passes or get to go to Legoland. read more

Not a great selection if looking to buy and items priced on the high side. Don't bother if looking to sell unless truly desperate and looking for pennies on the dollar. Yes, it is easy to be able to drop off when selling and I'm all for a business making a reasonable profit. Again, reasonable profit. They offer 20-25% of recent sales on eBay or Bricklink. Great deal for them, terrible deal for the seller. read more

What an amazing store to come to the area. My two daughters, husband, and I went on opening day, and have been back so many times since then. I can't even count. "The Lego Store" as one of my daughters calls it, is her favorite shop to visit. as adults, we also love it because there are used sets that are hard to find, such as Comic Con exclusives, and other rare sets. My daughter particularly loves the bulk bins, and the make your own mini fig. I love all of the unique displays that they sell for her to display her mini figs. Oh, and the owners were amazing. They won me over with their customer service on opening day, and have been wonderful ever sense. read more

We went for the one year anniversary and were extremely disappointed. We've been loyal customers since the opening and hadn't had many issues before. Unfortunately, that was not the case today. The owner, Deanna, is very kind but it seems that under pressure (like having one working kiosk), she doesn't do very well. She let way too many people into the already small store, did not know how to create a proper line for check out, and could only offer numerous empty apologies which only riled up the customers more. For example, we knew what we wanted within 10 minutes and had to wait an additional 45 minutes to check out, not only because of the one kiosk but also due to line cutters who took advantage of the chaos. Even scarier so, by letting everyone come in all at once, it had to have been a fire hazard for maximum occupancy. In all, it was EXTREMELY overwhelming, claustrophobic, and just an overall horrible experience. I hope the owners learn something from this. read more
