After having a nice hot bowl of ramen at Gonzo, we headed over to the store. It is a cute little store with all kinds of goodies. They have the Japanese claw machines with a variety prizes. They also sell clothing, figurines, beverages, stickers, sweets, keychains and other knickknacks. It's a fun spot.

After enjoying a delicious bowl of ramen at GONZO! Ramen, my eldest daughter and I walked on over to the GONZO! Store (located diagonal of GONZO! Ramen on the second floor of Carlsbad Village Faire Shops). They open at 5:00 PM on the weekdays and 12:00 PM on the weekends. We were lucky to still be in the area when they opened at 5:00 PM. It was a very clean and tidy store with lots of neat stuff. It is not a very big store, but it was packed with lots of goodies and knick knacks. I was holding back from taking any photos inside due to the specialty items. I should have just asked the gentleman behind the counter if I could take pictures. Anyway, I don't have any photos from the inside. Oh well. Perhaps next time. They had some fun claw machines. Japanese snacks and drinks of all sorts. Specialty brand clothing and toys. Figurines nicely placed on shelves for sale. It's a pretty neat place to check out. I didn't want to leave without buying something. We ended up getting a can of Ocean Bomb Dragon Ball Z Sparkling Water... orange flavor. First time trying it... it was okay. No WOW factor IMHO. If you have some extra time to spare after dining or shopping, come peruse around this fun and interesting GONZO! Store. There may be something fun and/or tasty for you to take home. Happy Shopping!

Pretty cute store that has a few crane games! You go eat ramen next door, you get a ticket for a free token! Then you end up spending more money here after dinner lol They have a really good frozen yogurt in a cone.. dude you gotta try it, and they sell other Japanese imported items here!

Cute little store! I first heard about this place when I received a coupon credit at Gonzo! Ramen to play their vending game machine for free, which was a really fun experience. Who doesn't love affordable entertainment? They have a great selection of adorable toys and treats. For a budget-friendly outing, I'd definitely recommend stopping by, especially if you have kids. The staff were friendly and accommodating as well.

Cute store with Japanese specialty items associated with Gonzo! ramen across the way in Carlsbad Village. They sell Japanese drinks, snacks, packaged soft serve ice cream, toys, shirts, novelty items, and have claw machines that cost $1/play. The location is great. The vibe is fun. The person working here was super sweet and had great customer service. But the automated token machine sucks.... It worked a few times and then it stopped working and when the staff member tried to help me get a single $1 token, it charged me $10 for 10 tokens. This machine needs to be redone or the purchasing of coins needs to be done differently.

Really cool store / gift shop for the GONZO! Ramen restaurant. They had an amazing selection of Japanese anime-themed figures, goodies, and snacks including ice cream! Can't forget to mention the claw machines! These seemed to be super popular when I was there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Service was pretty good overall. They also had a wide variety of cool souvenir shirts for the GONZO! Ramen restaurant! Prices were pretty decent overall as well. And yes, they do have sonny angels (while supplies last). Highly recommend checking them out! *Disclaimer* do not blame me if you go broke shopping here have fun and enjoy!

GONZO Store has T-shirts in so many colors and you can get a custom print design in-store or purchase one of the many already there.

The Big Shop is Lego heaven unless your kids are tired and losing their minds at the end of a long…read moreday at Legoland. Then it can kind of become Lego hell. I can't complain too much, though, as the promise of a toy store at Legoland allowed us to bypass the San Diego Zoo shop without incident. It was also a legitimately fantastic place, with an enormous, thorough inventory. I'm an adult Lego enthusiast, and I enjoyed seeing all the sets I'd ogled online. I saw several I wanted to buy, as well a few Lego-themed jigsaw puzzles, but I controlled myself. We were there for the boys, who were allowed one item apiece. Our sons are four and two, and they both went for the same stupid giant light-up sword within seconds of reaching The Big Shop. The Lego Group knows how to make money, and they know what they're doing putting these swords right at the entrance to their theme park gift shop. The swords dangled from two sides of a display stand, and one of my kids went left while the other went right, both of them drawn to the swords like Gollum to the precious ring. I didn't want to go home with two loud, cheap, plastic swords when we were surrounded by wonderful toys, and I managed, with great effort, to divert their interest and return the swords to their racks. I showed our four-year-old Leo all the cool Lego City sets and he picked a fire station before seeing the larger, more expensive Command Rover and Crane Loader. I was happy to pay for this, as it looked fun and was not a light-up sword. We got our toddler Wade a Duplo brick box that came with almost 100 bricks and a cute container, where we'd be able to stash all the Duplos already floating around our house. We paid for these toys, then instead of being grateful and happy, Leo threw a full-blown tantrum over the fucking sword. We held our ground, but it was a tough one. We had to carry him crying to the car. We were at Legoland with our friends, who also have two boys, and when we told them about the sword, the other mom said, yep, we have one of those. Turns out she'd had the same experience with their older child--denying the sword, facing the wrath--who then came back to Legoland with his grandparents and returned home with the sword in hand. Truly, the Lego Group is evil for this one. Our purchases have panned out, though, and I believe both boys are enjoying them more than they would have out the shiny but ultimately useless swords. Leo and I spend days building that rover, and it sparked a general interest in Legos, which has been a very positive development for me. Wade loves his Duplos, too, and is constantly playing with them and announcing, "I'm making a building!" Not a bad outcome, all told, and I look forward to our next visit to The Big Shop. We'll just have to get ready to vanquish those swords again.

They have multiple locations and each one is packed with fun and interesting stuff. They have everything a comic fan would want. Comics, trades, shirts, figures, statues, etc. Problem is each store is just unorganized with memorabilia all over the place. It's hard to find things and stuff is out of order. There isn't a logical layout. The other thing that bugs me is pricing on stuff is just inconsistent or wrong. I understand marking things up for the person who might not be familiar, but you are only hurting your store in the process because like most retail shops people will just opt to buy it cheaper online(or find it for less at a different place in the mall). Also, there is dust everywhere. I'm sympathetic that they probably don't have the staff to keep everything tight and that the store can look disheveled due to all the foot traffic, but show that you care! They moved to a smaller location in the mall and the store does look better than it did, but the fact that Ninja Exchange is right next store and is wildly popular on the weekends should make Comics-N-Stuff take a long look in the mirror. They could be getting a lot of the Ninja Exchange people Monday-Thursday if they capitalized. Running a business, let alone a comic shop, is difficult in this day n age. I will stop in to try to support every now and then, but it is hard when you get the sense that the love isn't there.
