I visited the women's apparel, but I realized there is another Mermaids boutique for children and gift shop. Unfortunately, it was closed by the time I stopped by. The boutique has a nice selection of chic and fashion clothes as well as casual style for the beach. They also have beautiful accessories. The price was reasonable. The staff were very nice. Definitely, I will come back to Mermaids

Great sweaters, blouses, fabulous jeans, boho style dresses and even sequined-black-tie -cocktail -party dresses. I bought the cutest pair of slouchy dress pants in the store today. 12/20/21. They are a fabulous snakeskin print; black and dark green in color with a pinch-pleat waistline, matching belt and tapered legs. I zoned in on them right away from afar and expected to see a large price tag, but they were only $39. A great price for such a unique pair of cocktail trousers. The salesgirl was such a big help and was very attentive but also allowed me to shop and browse at my leisure without bothering me. I also liked how the merchandise was spread out and easy to shop. And, the plus sizes were on a different color hanger than regular sizes, making it easier for customers to find their style and sizes, what a genius idea. I will definitely be back to shop next time we are in town.

Cool atmosphere at first. The customer service ruined it all…read more My friends and I came in to look around and see what the store had to offer in terms of clothes and antiques. While we were browsing, the lady at the front kept hovering over us as if we were trying to steal something. It was obvious enough that we actually started laughing about it. Combined with how incredibly expensive everything was, we decided not to buy anything. We did use the photo booth a couple of times, which has about a 3 and 1/2 minute processing time. While waiting for our photos to print and looking through them together, we sat on the couch. There was no one else in the store, and we weren't being loud, rude, or causing any problems. Despite that, we were rudely told the couch was only for customers trying on clothes. Didn't know the couch was a dressing room. It felt unnecessary considering we were simply waiting for the photos we had just paid for and were about to leave. The store has a cool concept, but the customer service made it feel unwelcoming. Greet every customer with kindness. Not everyone who walks into your store is out to get you.

Shame on you as a local business for not engaging customers who went out of their way to shop with you and not treat them the way you would want to be treated. This store is out of the way even if you live in Vista. It was not worth the trip, will be not be back and definitely not recommending them. They are totally reasonable when you want to make a purchase, they happily special ordered some gear for me, and they leave you alone when you are just browsing.
