Milk with a side of espresso?…read more I grabbed a jumbo Rose & Lois Iced Latte today at the Fishers Farmers Market, and unfortunately, the only thing I could taste was milk--not the flavor or the espresso. I ended up pitching the drink after a few sips, which was especially disappointing considering it cost $12. While walking around the farmers market, I noticed that most of the coffees from Rose & Lois had that same very light color, which made me wonder if I just caught an off day or if this is typical. My first time having Rose & Lois, it was definitely on the lighter side but I could still taste the flavors of espresso & syrups of my choosing. The coffee truck and shop are absolutely adorable, and I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately, today's latte totally missed the mark for me.

It has a real chill coffee house type of vibe going. The shop offers catering and is available to be rented for private events after hours. This is an awesome local coffee shop with a great staff, amazing vibe and mouthwatering drinks. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and looking to get your coffee fix.

I was SO excited to visit Gaia Cafe and Botanical! As much as I'd love to give a better rating, not…read moreevery coffee shop can be a favorite, and unfortunately, this visit left me wanting more. From the moment I walked in, there were around eight customers waiting for their drinks. I drove quite a distance to check this spot out as part of my Coffee Passport journey, so I was committed to giving it a try. I waited about 20 minutes just to place my order, and even then, there were still around five people ahead of me waiting for their drinks. It appeared there was only one employee working, and while she was doing her best and apologizing for the wait, the service experience was difficult. In total, I spent almost an hour there, making it the longest I've ever been at a coffee shop for just "stopping in." I'd seen great reviews of the Cookie Butter Latte online, so I had high hopes! My first few sips were promising, but after giving it a good mix, the flavor became a bit too much for me. The Chicken Bacon Ranch Empanada was good, but it left me wanting a little more too. Another disappointment was the Coffee Passport experience itself. Since it's a stamp-based passport, I was surprised they didn't have a stamp available. Instead, I received a coffee sticker rather than even a shop-specific sticker. With so many other participating coffee shops offering their own stamps, I expected a similar experience here. The space itself was cool, but when you hear "cafe and botanical," you picture a lush, plant-filled atmosphere. I wasn't expecting artificial plants, which took away a little from that vision. Overall, I was genuinely bummed because I had been looking forward to this visit! Between the long wait, the drinks and food not quite meeting my expectations, and the Coffee Passport experience, I can't say I'd make the trip back anytime soon. If it were closer to home, I might consider giving it another chance, but for now, this one just wasn't a favorite!

Same owner as 1823 Bakehouse in Franklin, so you know the coffee and matcha is going to be good. I had a matcha latte with honey and lavender and it was perfectly balanced. Not too sweet and the matcha was the star. While I got mine to go, this would be a great place to meet someone for breakfast or lunch as they also serve some bakery items like açaí bowls, juices and sandwiches. The decor is fun, with literary vibes and there are some cool artwork on the walls too, including a mural. Loved chatting with the owner and the barista working the front counter who advised me on what flavor matcha to get. I will definitely go back to try some other things!

I gave a different review back when the company had a different name (Roots to Rise) - same ownership - and I hadn't been impressed with their coffee or açaí bowls. With the new branding, I figured I'd visit again & stick to juices. They quickly became my post-yoga stop on weekends. I would have went before work on weekdays but they aren't open early enough for that. Today after I ordered I was warned there were a few orders ahead of me. That knowledge before ordering would have been more helpful. Normally a 5 minute wait or so, I was guessing a 15 minute wait would be reasonable. I went outside listened to 3 songs, back in, still no drink, went back out- 2 more songs, back in, still nothing. Ordered at 11:15, drink was done at 11:51. I think good business would have been upping my size for free, or a coupon, or even a thanks for your patience. A simple, "Thanks," while kind enough, caught me off guard. Any gesture to recognize that wait was unreasonably long would have sufficed. The juice was still delicious, I can't lie. I don't know if it's staffing (2 employees on Sat. morning- no Now Hiring sign tho) or what, but if you are in any kind of time crunch, I'd probably avoid the wait. If you are on vacation time- by all means- go enjoy their offerings. I realize it's what comes with a small business, but also something to recognize an unusually long wait would also be a small business quality. I'm disheartened by this. Greenwood is very slack on fresh juice options, although I saw an Ever-Well going in on 31.
