I come from a land where great breakfast burritos can be found everywhere (you know the place), so my standards are high. And then I tasted the breakfast burrito at Mornings Breakfast & Brunch in Fishers. And now ... well. If someone asked me, now, where my favorite breakfast burrito is located, Mornings might pop into my head. Because the breakfast burrito here is bangin'. It's appropriately mushy in all the right places. (If you know me, then you know that "mushy" is a big compliment when describing a burrito.) It has hash browns that aren't too crispy, diced bacon (or whatever other meat you choose), scrambled eggs, cheese, all wrapped in a thin flour tortilla. The breakfast burrito also comes with a side of sour cream and salsa verde, plus an additional side. I chose fried potatoes. I got my breakfast burrito to go, like you should. Do people eat burritos sitting down in a restaurant? Aren't they made to be eaten in a car, precariously gripped in one hand, with the other had on the steering wheel, maneuvering around roundabouts? Or in a car, dripping sweat into the to-go container as you hover over it to shove the last bits of burrito into your face after a vigorous yoga session? Burritos are meant to be eaten in cars, obviously, so I got my breakfast burrito to go. Burritos, like many things, taste better when they're eaten in a car. When I visited Mornings early in the morning, the music was blasting in the dining room. I don't know if they always have it this loud, or if maybe they were just trying to pump up the staff, or if maybe I'm just old and everything is loud now, but the music was very loud. Like, "raise your voice to talk to the person across the table" loud. I guess just keep that in mind. Or let that be yet another sign that you need to get your food to go and eat it in your car.

The coffee is strong, fresh, and exactly what you need to start the day. The breakfast burrito is massive (seriously, it could feed an army), the pancakes are fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth good, and the hash browns are perfectly done. Everything came out quickly, thanks to Froy and Eduardo in the kitchen. I made sure to tell them how great the food was, and their big smiles said it all you can tell they genuinely care about both quality and service. There's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. If you're feeling a little lazy but still want a great breakfast, Mornings is the place. Go say hi to Andrea, Froy, and Eduardo, you'll be treated to a breakfast that feels like something your grandma made for you on a Sunday morning.

They have both my favorite drink -- the Liquid Love Affair (a must-try if you're a vodka drinker) -- and hands down the best soup you'll ever taste: the corn bisque. It's absolutely delicious and has the cutest presentation every single time. I stopped in Saturday and it was busy, but Caitlin still provided excellent service -- attentive, friendly, and everything flowed smoothly. It was also a great spot to catch the Elite 8 games, which made the whole experience even better. I ordered the crab cakes and fries -- cooked really well and perfect with their remoulade. Now I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up because the ambiance is even better when the balcony is open.

As the entire evening there were groups of people waiting to be seated however I'm not sure if they had reservations. Our server, Callista was absolutely fantastic super patient and friendly. Well, we did not order much and split everything because we just weren't that hungry but definitely needed something to eat. This was a great first time visit. As you can imagine from all the other reviews, the ambience fantastic. This is part of the same hospitality, family group that owns Saint Elmo's. If I were more hungry, I definitely would've ordered more food. However, the first six pages of the menu are all alcoholic drinks and beverages, which is quite interesting. This part of the menu outnumbers the rest of the food pages. I would definitely come back here again and try more of the food however I'm giving them a solid for because the ambience the service and the food quality and timing were fantastic. The only problem with this place is that it is located in the popular nickel plate district, which is covered in saturated with restaurants and shops. And not enough parking options.

The gumbo was chocked full of seafood and the salad had the most delightful jalapeño vinaigrette. It usually comes with honey mustard but they were out. Happy mistake. That dressing was soooooo good! Honestly, I don't think I've ever enjoyed a salad dressing more. The only thing better than the food was the service. Sydney... "like Australia," as she introduced herself was attentive, personable, and made the experience memorable. I returned a few days later for Sunday brunch and ordered what I thought would be a larger salad. Unfortunately, it missed the mark - completely. There simply weren't enough greens to justify calling it a salad. On this visit, the service was noticeably slower. Our orders arrived at different times, some items were incorrect, and we were initially charged for things we didn't order. Thankfully, everything was addressed once we reviewed the bill. So, yeah.... We'll be back... ideally when Sydney is behind the bar! Give that girl a raise!

Not only here, but with an awesome server who was also from Michigan and was so funny! The serve yourself coffee bar was a really nice touch as well. A few different types of coffee, different creamers, sugars, and syrups. I could only have so much coffee but I did get to try a few different combinations. I got this amazing breakfast sandwich too. Michael playfully shamed me for wanting the sauce on the side along with tons of other banter at the table throughout or visit here. The odds of running into someone in Indiana that now lives here from Michigan is pretty lucky so we capitalized on that and had a great time. This place is very good for breakfast/brunch! Even better if you get Michael, hopefully he's still here next time we come down to visit our friends. Definitely welcomed us to the area and made for an enjoyable morning after driving 6 hours the night before to get here!
