Be prepared for a very lo-o-ong wait. We went for lunch a couple of weeks ago, placed our order and waited. And waited. Then our server told us that another server had taken our order, and we'd have to start over. We left. We went back a couple of days ago. The hostess seated us and we waited again. And waited. We asked another server to mention us to our server, and he said he would. We waited again and asked again and was told, "He's working on it." Wrong answer. And we were told there was no manager there. We left. Just do what we did and go to Azteca across the street. Great food, great service. In the past, the food has been pretty good-hence the two stars - but we won't be back. read more

We had a lovely experience! The food was excellent, I had the Brickhouse Bowl, my husband had the Brickhouse Burger and our boys had the Mac n cheese and buttered noodles. I loved that they have a kids menu with things even our "selective" eater would eat. The restaurant is beautiful in side and the whole atmosphere was enjoyable. What a neat place!!! Our server was training a new girl and they were both so sweet and giggly! My boyfriend and I split a burger, mac & cheese, and a Caesar salad and it was absolutely delicious!! Some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had! The building is gorgeous and has a rustic-modern vibe. We don't live anywhere near here, but if we're ever in the area again, we will stop by! A last minute decision to stop for takeout but great decision. Bartender was very welcoming & took our order. Place was busy with customers & the line of customers kept coming. The food is delicious especially the salmon and the prices are very reasonable. This place became on of my go-to's while I was in Granby for work. I gave them 4 stars because I tried to place a carry out order the next day after dining in and it was a little over an hour before they were closing and they said they are not taking anymore carryout orders. I asked if I were to dine in would I be served and she said, "no we're closed". But when I drove by the door was propped open and the sign said open and the restaurant had people inside. read more

Food was delicious and Laura was amazing! Had a great evening. We had the brick house burger and chicken piccata both recommended by Laura.

We went here right at opening. The staff was very friendly. And I seated us right away. But then they opened the door to the outside, and we were frozen our entire meal. The food took a very long time to come out, but it was delicious. The staff was attentive. But then they also charged an additional percentage for the back kitchen, which a lot of restaurants do, and I think is wholly inappropriate. Again, put the full price that you need for the meal, and then I'll decide whether to come in. Don't slide in an additional percentage for the kitchen staff. You pay your employees. I buy the food. Brickhouse 40's under new management...and that's a good thing. A step up from where it had been before. Stopped in and and had great service. Ordered the trout that came with what they called a potato latke and spinach and sun dried tomatoes. Excellent, but over-salted. Told them after-the-fact because we were on a tight schedule and they were gracious about it and glad we mentioned it. Made us a to-go order of s'mores bread pudding that rocked! The servers don't communicate with each other as we were asked multiple times by different people if our order had been taken. If you must eat here I believe sitting outside is better than inside. 3 1/2 stars I went to Brickhouse 40 with my husband and a couple friends recently for dinner on a Friday night and the place was very busy but we were lucky to get the only available table at the bar. The location is very convenient if you stay at the YMCA, and I've been to this restaurant a few times with friends or family when staying at Snow mountain Ranch. The menu offers regular pub fare with a few more creative entrees, along with cocktails, 8 beers on tap and wines. They seemed understaffed when we visited and our waitress was very busy, we certainly can't blame her for that, but this situation didn't make us feel much welcome. The reviews are mostly great but our experience was not as impressive. My risotto came barely warm and was very bland, my husband and another at our table got the Brickhouse bowl which they both found disappointing and lacking flavor. The only one of us happy with his meal had ordered the burger. Not a bad place, just underwhelming. read more

It was my cheat weekend and our anniversary, so we we were hitting up some good food. Ambiance was really great, so I had high hopes, but... I ordered the beer cheese burger cooked medium, but it was medium rare (hubby thought it looked more on the rare side...he cooks and grills a lot); the crispy onion straws came straight from a can and were cold and stale; I couldn't taste any beer in the beer cheese. I managed to stomach half of it because I was super hungry. The server asked if I wanted the rest to go and I explained I didn't because it was undercooked and I even showed it to her. She simply stated that everyone has different preferences. Oh my... I didn't even bring up the $4 coffee that tasted like it came from the bottom of a bucket. Additionally, there was no heat in the bathroom. No adjustments were offered. Won't be going back. read more
