Looking for someplace new to eat. Ended up here. Ordered a turkey Reuben and my sister ordered a eggplant wrap. Waited at least 20 minutes for food to arrive. We were the only customers in the dining area. My sandwich was oily/greasy. Maybe from the Swiss cheese? Not expecting this much oil/grease dripping on my plate after every bite. Even the fries were oily/greasy. Also, there wasn't much eggplant in the wrap, mostly lettuce. If I decide to give Brick 46 another try, I'll order their pizza. read more

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dining experience last Friday night. We sat in the dining room and had a terrific server. I wish I could remember her name as I'd love to mention her here, but she was much older than the other servers. Extremely friendly, attentive and got our weekend off to a nice start with her friendly attitude. Our food was really good. Our appetizer was lobster Ravioli (I think it was on the specials menu) and a mushroom & onion pizza for our main meal. Both were terrific. Atmosphere is good, and it's very clean. Brick 46 catered my daughters college graduation party! It was the best! We had eggplant rollentine , chicken marsala, penne vodka ,grilled veggies, a salad, cheese platter and stuffed breads. All was so yummy my guests were thrilled! I was even more thrilled because I got to spend time with my family. I would recomend Brick 46 to everyone. Where do I begin. First of, the hostess and our waitress were extremely pleasant. We sat in the dining room and it was pretty empty. That should've been the first sign. Even though there were lots of open tables, they sat us right outside the kitchen in front of the exit. The kitchen staff was playing music loudly which we heard the whole time. Nonetheless we were excited to have a good meal as the menu looked great. We started off with the fried calamari, which tasted like it had been recycled throughout the night. It was the size of barnacles and tasted like fried cardboard. It looked like someone scraped it from the bottom of a bag and threw it in the frier. It was almost inedible. After the appetizer we knew our meals would be suspect. We ordered plain cheese ravioli and chicken with broccoli rab and chicken. I don't know how you can mess up ravioli, but it wasn't cooked long enough and luke warm. The chicken looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile, and the potatoes were crisp thin little discs sitting on the broccoli rab. The environment was dingy with old, mismatched light fixtures over the tables and the whole place needed freshening. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Maybe their pizza is decent, but we won't be coming back a second time to try! read more

This is my daughter and future son-in-laws favorite restaurant so we decided to have their engagement party here. What a fantastic party! Lou and his staff went above and beyond. I was there tonight for dinner. Have gone a few times with friends from Denville that insist this place has good food. I had an italian named chicken dinner with cheese and eggplant with potatoes and vegetables. it was called something like Lucianos, very Italian title. Awful dinner. We were in the back room............no service.............no bread brought to the table..............finally dinner came......the chicken was okay, but the sauce was allll salt. The diced potatoes were burned to a crisp. The vegetables were green and yellow zucchini which is nice, but they were basically raw with salt and some oil poured over them. This place to me is just a Rockaway dive. Take a lookat all the finger prints on the glass on all the doors when you enter. I don't think they clean anything. The ladies room looks clean, but take a hard look at the floors and corners. I will save my money and go elsewhere. The Second Half in Denville has a better menu and better food. Not that it's the best, but they have great burgers...........not sure about their cleaning either. But at least it does not feel like a local low-life hang out...............not going back read more

We are here tonight and had the cheesestake app which was awesome and then split the margherita pizza and chicken bacon pizza. Both were delicious with good taste and nice crust and 12in was more than enough! Only complaint was lack of kiddie cup or crayons but we brought our own! We honestly can't tell you how the food is yet but, the service is great! We had ordered several trays of food for or sons 1st birthday party. The price for the food was great and the food came highly recommended by a friend who uses them regularly. Two days before the party he got sick. We called to ask about their cancellation policy. The manager gave us his cell phone number and told us we could call him as late as 10pm the night before the party to cancel it with no charge. He told us not to worry about the food, to worry about our baby. Unfortunately he didn't get better in time and we did have to cancel the party. As soon as we can reschedule, we'll be ordering from them again! read more

I went to this restaurant on a Good Friday for my 30th birthday and it was excellent! I had 40 people with my dinner party and they set us up in a next private corner of the restaurant where we were all together so it was easy to socialize. Everyone in the staff was extremely nice, helpful, and went above and beyond catering to our needs. I called a day ahead of time to pre-order some appetizers that were ready soon after we arrived! They made a special anti-pasta appetizer, calamari, and speciality pizzas that were all out of this world. People then order separate dinners that were all very good and came out very quickly which is no small feat since we had so many people. I cannot explain enough how wonderful they made my birthday dinner experience. I recommend this place to everyone- excellent food, service, and price. read more

As other reviews say, this is a hot spot for the bar atmosphere. The pizza is ok. In an area with great pizza, it would not be my go-to place. Had a pasta dish and discovered a black hair in it after eating for a few minutes. Server offered to have a new dish made, I accepted although I had lost my appetite. Seems that I'm not the only one to find hair in their food according to other reviews. The dish would have been very good if I wanted to eat after that. The desserts are brought in from a bakery service who provides cakes to other local restaurants (I realized this after hearing the names of the cakes. They were identical to the desserts of another place I had been to a few weeks earlier.) This was confirmed by our server. I know most restaurants do not make desserts in-house, but the magic is lost when when the same exact selection is found at multiple restaurants in town that have the same type of dinner selection. read more

Brick 46 was such a great find. I've eaten there on several occasions and the food and service is always good. I am a huge fan of their pizza when dining in. I'm not a fan of their pizza for pick up... it's still good but way better when dining in. Their appetizers are also fantastic, yummy wings and awesome quesedillas. My family members have also ordered some of the entrees, pastas, lobster ravioli, etc. and they all loved their meals. Great place to hang out after a long day at the office. Bartenders make great mixed drinks! They do not skimp on the alcohol either :) No watered down drinks in this place. The food is great. Great salads, awesome buffalo wings and the best steak salad in the area! Their white pie with broccoli is out of this world. Overall it's a great place to hang out with friends and family. Highly recommended. We used Brick 46 to cater a party for 80 people. They were very helpful in determining the quantities, were on time and set everything up. Food was EXCELLENT! People raved about the grilled vegetables and chicken francaise. They even came back with extra sauce for the penne ala vodka on their own. The cost was half of place we usually use.
