Went for a 8am iced coffee, parked right in front of the building, had about 3 people ahead of me and I got to order within a couple minutes. I had no idea what I was going to order so I asked for something iced with lavender and she recommended a Fruity Pebbles with the lavender cold foam and the drink did not disappoint! I waited outside for my drink as I saw that the place is very tiny and everyone was waiting outside. The staff making the coffee would speed walk outside to hand deliver the coffees and they seemed so happy doing so! Keep in mind by this time they had about 15 people in line. I used to love this place. From the original location to the couples of months after the grand opening of the new spot. It quickly became my favorite coffee shop in town. But lately, the experience has taken a turn for the worse. The drinks have been inconsistent, and the staff doesn't seem to know how to handle basic customizations I've ordered many times before. I get that it's probably due to new hires, but instead of working to understand or correct an issue, the customer often ends up being blamed which can be really frustrating. Recently, I ordered my usual drink, repeated the customization multiple times (since it was pretty packed inside), and still received something completely different. When I mentioned it, I was told they "don't make that." Even though I've ordered it plenty of times in the past. I even brought it up with a cashier previously, who confirmed it's just a customization of ONE thing because the drink is on their menu. What made it worse was how the situation was handled. A staff member came outside, where other customers were waiting, and tried to publicly tell me I was wrong. Claiming their cashier repeated the order back to me, when all she had confirmed was that it would be two drinks. The staff is nice but it also seems so manufactured, like they're being forced to be overly welcoming like it's a corporate joint. The drink was really good though, a girl with curly hair made it and she did seem genuinely cool. I understand that I probably went at a really busy time but those poor girls looked STRESSED. I hope the owners/ higher up managers are present and help make the coffees as well in those busy times. Finally stopped by Brewjee and it was so worth the hype! We tried the Cosmo & Wanda, cookie butter latte, and a croissant-- all so delicious. My friend recommended this coffee shop because of how much she loved it. I stopped by this week and ordered the Cosmo & Wanda and let me tell you... I was blown away! I'm a matcha girl and this is by far the best matcha drink I've had. I was disappointed at myself for not ordering it in a bigger size. Sometimes there is a wait and a long line but it's for a good reason. It's popular and I've been enjoying Brewjee since they first opened a few years ago. The coffee is the best in town with variety and flavor. The wait is worth getting some good drinks. I don't mind waiting for coffee that has some QUALITY. The longest I've waited for a drink was 10 mins. Customer service is a 10/10. My favorite drinks are iceed coffees with cold foams or the matcha (cosmo & wanda). read more

Understanding that taste is subjective, after having a staple drink (simple cappuccino/ cortado ) that any coffee shop worth its name could make, I am convinced that many people reviewing here prefer sugary drinks over actual quality coffee roasts. Service was amazing and you can tell the ladies working there really do believe they're making quality drinks. No issue there. Service was outstanding. The line was long and this lifted my hopes for an amazing, or at the very least a decent cup of joe. Alas, this simply wasn't the case, I should have known something was amiss due to the scent of charred beans. But despite my instinct I ventured on in. The shop is small, quaint and in a good location. This place has everything going for it, but the roast my oh my. I read someone's review about their coffee being over extracted but I firmly believe they're being too nice. Maybe they had a decent roasting process at one point, but what I had today was straight up brewed coals. It's one thing to prefer a darker roast but it's another thing to brew charcoaled beans. I know this taste simply from trial and error where I once brewed similar charred beans and that is a taste I will never forget. I'm not sure where they get their beans or if they roast them themselves but this is a must-fix. If you need to drown your coffee in sugar in order to sell it, you're doing it wrong. I love a good dark roast and had high hopes for this newly opened coffee shop. Perhaps that's the next wave of coffee drinkers and maybe I'm not the target audience? Still, I fear many interpret roast type vs actual coffee strength incorrectly, where they assume that a charred bean = stronger coffee when anyone knows this is far from truth. Common misconception and I think this will be something that will end up driving many potential repeat customers away. Not intended to be scathing review as I'm sure the manager will read this, but I do urge them to review, sample and hopefully have some quality control to ensure that what is made is consistent and of good quality. We have amazing very solid and proven coffee shops in the greater monterey bay area to compare against. A solid roast makes or breaks a good cup of coffee. TLDR: great service, good location, very amicable staff but the coffee straight up tasted burnt,no roasted, but charred burned. Roasting process needs to be revisited or needs to look for different roaster if they get their beans pre-"roasted". read more

The $8+ price is just not justifiable in my opinion, and now they're adding charges for everything. Today they charged me 50 cents for light ice!! A customer just walked in and told the girls not to make her coffee because she has to leave. There are 4 girls working, there are cups lined up and people waiting outside, they have absolutely no care in the world for people's time. Do not come here if you are limited on time or have somewhere to be. This is not a place you can pick up coffee and go. Be prepared to wait for a long time. Like I said their coffee is pretty good, which is why I've come multiple times but I don't have an hour everyday to wait for coffee. read more

Salinas has few local coffee spots that are great in their own ways, however, brewjee is truly AMAZING. The coffee speaks for itself, try it. It will be love at first sip. I honestly would recommend choosing something that fits your mood or favorite flavor. I feel like this is one of those coffee places where you could pick anything off the menu and it will be delicious. The staff are always very sweet and very kind.
