My husband & have been coming here more often because the location is great, food is good & service is EXCELLENT! To start with food ... menu is pretty typical Bar Food with a few eclectic, healthier options sprinkled in for good measure ( salmon). On my last visit, during Lent, I ordered a Grilled Cheese & White Bean Soup. Both were 10/10! Brewhouse is known for grabbing a slice of pizza later in the evening. You can get a full pizza too! I plan to order one next time. The atmosphere is casual and lively most times. But, you can definitely go early to watch your favorite sports on their many TVs. Service is fast & personable. It was Monday and the special was a slice and a pint. $8 got you your choice of a cheese or pepperoni slice of pizza and a pint of local Yazoo beer. There is a clip board of all of the beers available. The few Yazoo beers available were are just scattered throughout. Bet you didn't think you'd begin your dinner with a game of "find Waldo". Our beer arrived quickly. It was cool, but not icy cold, and it was flat. Nary a bubble. Whoever poured it should have known simply from experience that this beer shouldn't have been served. The pizza arrived pretty quickly too. It was a big slice but we really needed two. I guess there was no reason why we couldn't have ordered another special. There were plenty of large screen TV's but there were also a lot of seats without a view of one. Service was good, atmosphere, a little grungy. Pretty lowkey place that's casual. Wood everywhere. Nice amount of screens with sports on. I was seated quickly. Service was fast! I wanted to try something different as I was in town for work. I didn't see much in the way of Nashville hot chicken so I went with the next best thing - gator tail bites. Yep, I ordered the fried extravaganza - the Mojo. With tator tots of course. This is all fried food - alligator tail, shrimp, oysters, and catfish. I'm not an oyster "eater". I'm a "shucker" so eat them raw in one go. So I tried to chew one fried oyster and gagged. It's not the restaurant. It's me. Tator tots were crispy. Fish was great. Alligator tail tasted like chicken. Ok maybe not - but it was good though. I have to give this place a major shout out. For the past 3 years we have been in town for a volleyball tournament. Every year we bring a group of 30 plus people and they always accommodate us. The staff works really hard and the food is always good. The ranch is top tier! This place is great for big groups and for watching a game- TVs galore. read more

It had been a few years since we were here and we decided to give Brewhouse South another chance, which was a good decision. We came here at the end of last year and it was a much, much better experience than our last visit. Service was good throughout our meal and our food was very tasty; my wife enjoyed her BLT with sweet potato fries, my mom enjoyed her hot dog and onion rings, and I thought my wrap was great. The beer selection was also very, very good and prices were very affordable. I'm glad we gave Brewhouse South another chance as it's a nice restaurant overall and they've gotten way better over the years. read more

My wife and I were in Franklin, Tennessee for a family gathering. On the way back to the hotel, we were looking for something to eat that was still open after 9 pm. We stopped in at Brewhouse South which is located by the Mall. The restaurant is big with lots of tables and lots of TV's. It is not a quiet little place. The beer menu is huge and it took some time to decide what that I wanted which was the Brewhouse light lager. It was good, but not great. My wife decided to try the Old Forester old fashioned and said it was really good, especially for the price. Since that I took some time to decide on what beer that I wanted, our server got busy doing side work and didn't come back for quite a while. My wife had the red beans and rice and really enjoyed it. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. It was good, but it was a little well done for my taste. My overall opinion is that this is a good place to grab a bite, especially if it is later in the evening. read more

It had been a while since the last time I visited brewhouse south, but I joined some guys for a happy hour last week and found it to be refreshingly good, reasonably priced and good service. Since the last time I've been there, they had added a new pizza menu. Turns out their pizza brand, sauced pizza is really good. The large is very large, and comes in very large slices. We had the meat pizza, which was exceptional. With over 40 beers on tap it's hard to make a decision, but there are plenty to choose from including domestic, local, Kraft, imports, etc. I have a feeling that brewhouse is gonna be back on our regular list. read more

This is not a five star restaurant, but when you combine the attentive service, the general food quality and the value, it's worthy of five stars. It was packed full, but our server for our party of ten was outstanding. She was on task and courteous. The portions were large. The quality was good. The drink specials were fantastic! Love me some Brewhouse! Whether it's the Mojo wings, corn nuggets or a cold beer...doesn't matter which location I am, I seem to always enjoy myself when I am bellied up to the bar at a Brewhouse! While I have been working in the Cool Springs area for close to two years now, I am embarrassed to admit that I legit just learned about this location mere weeks ago! And you best believe as soon as I learned about it, after work drinks were a must. This Brewhouse sits near the mall and surrounding hotels, which means that this place can get packed quite easily. As for the food, the mojo wings are one of my favorite things on the menu! Don't let the heat scale fool you, while it has them marked as "wow"...they are not a hot or spicy wing. They are however a saucy and messy wing! Side these wings with those golden corn nuggest...and bam! Service at the bar was decent. Two bartenders, one of which pays a tad more attention than the other. Had a few delays in ordering and utensil/napkin needs, but nothing too crazy. Overall, Brewhouse is a favorite and a staple. I always get the gumbo (extra sour cream because I have zero spice tolerance) but had the tomato shrimp bisque the other day and had to come back for a BOWL. What a horrible dining experience, first it took them 30 minutes to get our drink order, and then another 30 minutes for our food order, and when the food can out it took about an hour and arrived one person in our party did not receive her food and everyone who ordered fry's/tater tots were overly salty. We were very disappointed yesterday. They have revamped their menu and added a muffaleta sandwich. Don't order it. You will get 2 slices of ham, 3/4 inch of cheap motzerella cheese and a 1/4 inch of salami. It came pre-packaged and was ice cold. However, the bread was toasted to perfection. You can order a 1/2 for $14 or a whole for $25. It not only was unacceptable, it was no larger than good hamburger. I believe they need to rethink this one. read more

Had a pretty good late night meal here recently. We had been to a concert and looking for a late night nosh and stopped in at Brewhouse South. Big menu including a pizza menu for later night. The service was friendly and attentive. Knew the menu and could make suggestions. Had a Cajun combination platter and cheese pizza. The platter had jambalaya, red beans and rice and gumbo. If your looking for chicken wings, this place has it going on. They also now have a great buffalo sauce. as for taste, on WOW, these wings were so tender and smokey flavor to them. and the new buffalo sauce flavor is spot on. i also had a side of their steak fries, they were nice a thick and lots of flavor since they add a seasoning salt on top of them. next time i will ask for light on the seasoning salt, at times it was more salt than potato taste, but they over all were very good, nice and crisp and thick. washed it all down with a nice Nashville Cider on tap. I've been putting this off because the servers have been very nice... but the food really isn't up to par, even for a sports bar. I gave this place two shots and had bad food/ drink experiences both times. The first time I had corndogs, which couldn't even compete with Sonic and were overcooked. I also had a bushwacker which was not great. The second time I ordered a smash burger and was served a *fat* burger. I figured there was just a mix up, so I tried to nicely tell your waitress that I ordered a smash burger and this wasn't a smash burger. She was very sweet, but she said, "I think they smashed it!" This burger was at least an inch thick. I've become a smash burger connoisseur to the point that I don't really like 'regular' burgers. So not only was it not what I wanted, it was also charred to black on the outside, no seasoning, and the texas toast was very soggy & a bit burnt (see the pic). I also order the fried Mac n cheese which is truly just fried Kraft Mac n cheese. These weren't so bad, but I don't pay to go out to eat to eat box Kraft Mac n cheese. The worst part... this meal alongside a $5 alcoholic juice pouch was $30. Sigh. The waitress seemed to be new, but I was disappointed that she knew I was unhappy with my meal and didn't discount it at all.
