Came here opening weekend and it was PACKED. It was a little overwhelming to walk in and see the place so crowded and the multiple different railings in front of me and not knowing where to go. There were arrows on the ground pointing to the Bar which was where we were headed (I did not know they had a full restaurant) and it was a little confusing as we followed the arrows through the restaurant area and through a sitting area with couches where we had to cross through people's conversations to get through.
We finally made it to the bar and told the bartender we wanted to have flights to try out the beers since it was our first time. It was nice that they gave us little papers to order our flights on so that we weren't having to remember which ones we wanted while searching and reading the descriptions, we could just write them down and move on. One thing I was sad to see is how many IPA's there were as I am more of a light-beer or sour beer drinker.
Once completing our papers we saw the glasses were small 6 oz. wine glasses - this was new and cool! They were served on a piece of wood that had been carved to hold the glasses. We had to wait quite some time as the bartender looked for two wooden flight holders for us to use - there were none in sight. Eventually when we go the filled flights we had to pay and the bartender had previously given us our receipt, we handed the card and then something happened in the computer and she had to ring it up all again and we had to wait a bit - each beer is rung in differently in a flight as they are all priced differently, there is not a standard price for a flight so she had 8 beers to ring up twice, and had to keep coming from the computer over to us at the counter until she finally got it all straight and we could pay. The wood flight holder was very sturdy which was appreciated as we had to carry the flights and push through the crowds.
We got lucky and found a 2 person high-top table to sit at. It was kinda confusing which tables were reserved for the restaurant and which were not, as some tables next to the bar were apparently restaurant tables as the wait staff kept pushing people who just had beers out. The food did look really good but we had just eaten - pizza's, wings, tacos, etc. all looked fresh and tasty!
They came by and grabbed the wooden flight holders really quickly (when we ordered they were basically out) and also came through to grab our empty glasses quick.
Once we finished we toured through the rest of the space, going to the second floor and the rooftop. The second floor was also packed with people playing jenga, connect-four, and the pinball games. The roof was less full (probably because it was a little cold), but they had a full bar up there with lots of seating and space heaters.
Overall, this space was cool, the beers decent and the service was quality. Hopefully after opening weekend they will work out some kinks and the next time we visit it will be just a little smoother!
