Long overdue, the lady that was behind the register was amazing as always, from welcoming, positive energy, to recommending things to try. So I decided to try the shrimp and avocado wrap. Whenever I come here, there's usually a line. It's short and moves fast so it's not a big deal. I usually come when I want to grab a pick me up drink - my go to being the matcha strawberry. Although the matcha alone is bitter (probably not a fault of the place, maybe the grade?) but paired with the strawberry was pretty good. I can't say anything about the bubbles as I'm not a fan but I'm sure it's fine. Also, can't say much about the food because it feels overpriced. The time I saw onigiri, the prices blew my mind away - similar to pork buns even though they look delectable. Aside from that, there's usually people reading or studying. I think the cafe would be a nice place to do some light work at so if that's your vibe, can totally try it. read more

On a walk I was craving some boba and saw Brew Memories had a matcha strawberry bubble tea. The drink didn't have a strong strawberry flavor but as sipping there is nice refreshing sweetness. The boba drinks come in 16 and 20 ounces. They had plenty of other drink options as well such as coffees, lattes, lemonade, slushies and even food. Needed a boba shop to stop by and try here in the city after walking around all day! Food - We ordered a passion fruit green tea and shared some popcorn chicken and fries. The passion fruit green tea was so refreshing on the nice Spring day! The fries were also a great snack and the popcorn chicken was freshly made. It all went well with the drink! Service - The two people up front were incredibly friendly. The food came pretty quickly and the drinks were made very well! No complaints. They were super nice too about letting my dogs friend walk through the shop for us to sit in the back patio. Environment - TONS of seating area! There's seating area at the back as well. I work at the hospital around the corner from them and this place is POPULAR amongst my team and pretty much the entire hospital from what I can see. And for pretty good reason, their bubble teas are the tastiest on the block! They also serve some hot foods like bahn mi, popcorn chicken, and different filling steamed buns. My favorite is the pork bun, which unfortunately run out fast so my fellow evening shift workers lose out. I wish they stocked more pork buns because it's clearly a best seller. They always have pumpkin leftover for the Vegans, but come on, pork is traditional and should have more stock. The chicken one is okay, not really as a tasty as the pork. I also enjoy their Eel onigiri (rice balls) but these are not always available so it's unfortunately inconsistent. My husband likes their Bahn Mi. However, we dislike their pork and chive dumplings which is a shame because I love dumplings and would order this more often if they didn't taste so bad. There's way too much chive in them and overall, they lack depth of flavor with the pork. The overpowering flavor of the chives just ruins the whole dumpling, and they're overly wet because the oil is not dried off properly. The space itself is small and the front area where you place your order and pick up is cramped and can get claustrophobic during busier times. There's more seating towards the back and I think even an outdoor area, but I'm not 100% sure. Their bubble tea's are really good and the flavor and preparation of them are consistent every week. One coworker of mine orders Thai Iced Tea almost everyday! They have a good variety if you're adventurous or like to try new things often, but they're also reliable if you're like me and many others who know what they like and stick to their preferences every time. I don't even need to recommend this place because they are already super popular, but if for some reason, you've never been here before, you should definitely stop by. Really glad I popped by here for some caffeine and some space to work! The staff was fantastic, really nice and very efficient in getting drink orders out. And the drinks themselves were great. The flat white was pretty good, while the dirty chai was one of the best I've ever had. None of that sugary nonsense, it was a delicious blend of espresso and spices that hit the spot. I don't even drink coffee anymore but this is still one of my new favorite go-to spots because they are way more than just a cafe. They are a cafe that serves up some bomb bubble tea, yummy dumplings and delicious fried rice just to name a few. They are so many options that anyone is sure to find something if not everything appealing to them. The shining star is their Young Chow Fried Rice which is their version of a house special fried rice that is light and flavorful; you can actually taste each of the meats and the hint of sesame oil! I frequently pair that with an order of Chicken Wontons which I opted for pan-fried over just steamed. I'm even a fan of the shredded carrots and cucumbers as garnish as well the sides of sweet soy and chili oil that accompanies the dumplings and wontons. Let me not forget about those Dan Dan noodles that perfectly cooked every time. A shoutout goes to the staff for their great customer service. Ivy and Jason are always attentive. The best indicator of good service here is consistently getting my order correct. I appreciate that so much because I'm often just running in, ordering and eating while I drive because the food is good! I highly recommend checking them out when in the area! I was here yesterday for a Yelp event and I left my umbrella here; I called this morning, and they were super nice about it. I came back to get it and ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich ($12) because I couldn't get enough of it yesterday and oh my goodness, it was waaaay better because it was super fresh and hot. Word of warning though: devour immediately. I took a bite (almost burned my tongue) and it was heavenly, but it had cooled down significantly 20 minutes later by the time I got home and the texture of everything was totally different. At its prime, the chicken is crispy, juicy and flavorful; the egg oozes with yolk and elevates the sandwich; the carrots and cucumber are crunchy and cold; the spicy mayo ties everything together. It's nice that this also comes with freshly fried fries; I would absolutely recommend getting this to stay. At around 5:15pm on a weeknight, Brew Memories is not very crowded; it looked like most of the tables were occupied, but it might have been possible to snag a seat for some studying. There's an area by the front that is standing room only, so I grabbed a bite there before heading out. I like to occasionally work in cafes but don't always want coffee, so Brew Memories was perfect. They have ample seating indoors (with outlets) and in their backyard. I came around 10am on a Thursday and was able to score a table easily. It seems like they cater mainly to WFH patrons in the morning, but it gets more crowded in the afternoon. I got the chicken bao ($3.50) and the matcha brown sugar latte ($6). The bao made for a nice light lunch but unfortunately the matcha latte needed more matcha as it tasted mainly like sugary milk. Came over here for some bubble tea while waiting for my tax appointment across the street. Cute place and staff are nice. Good pastries, I had the bear one since it was so cute. It was chewy and moist and tasted like coconut and vanilla. The matcha strawberry bubble tea was unique, not super strawberry flavored but enough. Very sweet but good. The boba tasted very fresh and soft. Total for the drink and pastry was around 9 dollars, so a little hefty. The drink was one size and not that big. But I loved the way everything tasted! read more

Today on my lunch break 11/12 /25 at about 1:50pm, I decided to go here and have my regular lunch meal . As I sat I waited about 10 mins when my order was called out for me to come pick . As I started eating I witnessed a mother and her teen daughter being served their food the table across from me (which i found a bit unfair). 15 mins later I see the woman next to me also being served with her food & drink . I then felt a way because how come they were served but I had to get up and physically get my food ? About 10 mins after she was served , a gentleman was called twice by his name to pick up his food. Now that really got me upset because him and I were NOT Caucasian, but the women that were served with their food were. This felt like discrimination and pretty rude . Is there a limit to how many coffee shops a neighborhood should feature?  I say no... especially when so many of us are working from home/confined to our neighborhoods now.  This is another fine addition to the hood, a great drop-in with solid coffee and some tasty pastry options. The lovely, new, modern interior space looks incredibly welcoming--obviously sadly underused for this current time, but very promising as a hangout for the future. I'm somewhat obsessed by their sage omelette sandwich that I just tried. Scrambled eggs served  on a croissant with cream cheese, red onion, capers and sage. It's a weird yet interesting combo--a bit if an odd texture, but very flavorful. I can't decide yet whether I love it or it's too strange, but... Came here to grab a quick snack and found it packed on the weekend! I ordered the matcha rose, lychee green tea w/ lychee jelly and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The matcha rose had a good balance between the two flavors and "less sweet" was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The lychee green tea tasted good but was nothing special. The popcorn chicken was the most disappointing -- barely any flavor and was more like chicken nuggets than the crispy, addictive, bite sized chicken I was expecting. I happened to find this place through Yelp when i was looking for cafes in the area. I loved that they had a lot of boba flavors and i read good reviews. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I got there after 4 and a lot of the pastries and buns were already sold out that's why I'm giving it 4 stars. I love this place! Not only is the food good & taste so fresh but their bubble teas & lattes are a must try. It's a small & cozy place with a very helpful & welcoming staff. I tried the brown sugar latte for the first time & honestly I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure if it would be too sweet or not. Gotta start off by giving a shout out to the staff. Kind, helpful, upbeat without being fake. They're great. The fact that this place is in the neighborhood is a huge win. We have a ton of options for bubble and milk tea but this is a real set up with buns, desserts, different dumpling options, fun sandwiches and noodle and rice dishes. I was at a place in Chinatown yesterday and got the chow fun (gotta do it with dry black beans and some spicy peppers) and it reminded me exactly what chow fun should be like. This was not it. But it's Park Slope, what are you gonna do. BUT let's not harp on about the one thing that wasn't great. Let's do the good! The pork buns are awesome. Hot, fluffy, the roast pork inside is delish. Could do with a bigger portion of the pork but it's a perfect afternoon snack. Their boba is solid, I'm basic and love me a passionfruit green tea with some pearls. It's pretty normally priced for boba these days (maybe a bit less) so you're not really gonna find a better deal for what you're getting. NOW let's get to the thing that would make this place five stars. Those dumplings. Hot damn. Got the pork and chive, fried. Normally I like them steamed but the cashier said I had to get them fried, I'm not gonna say know. Even from the steamed up lid they looked pretty damn good. When I opened them a wave of delicious oily fried goodness wafted up. Perfectly fried, not overly so, but not limp and wet from oil. A like a thicker dumpling skin, something with some flavor to it. I don't like a dumpling that's somewhere between a dumpling and gyoza. Nothing that just tastes of oil. Perfect thickness on the skin and a ton of flavor for a dumpling wrapper. A nice crunch as well. Perfect balance of pork and chive. The dumpling sauce isn't your average sauce, I don't know what it is. It's just delicious. I've been eyeing this place ever since I noticed it has dumplings and I finally got around to trying it out the other day. Brew Memories is really more of a boba place--they have coffee and stuff but the majority of the menu is dedicated to bubble tea options. To be honest, It's been years to maybe a decade since I got excited for bubble tea but I went ahead and ordered the strawberry matcha milk tea for old times sake and gottdamn was I impressed. It was a damn fine cup of bubble tea, one of the best honestly. No crappy overly sweet coffee creamer in milk called "tea" here folks, a genuinely solid mix of strawberry syrup, water, milk and real matcha. Sure, it was sweet enough I couldn't finish it but I'm old so I blame only myself. I wanted to finish it, the heart was willing but the body said... no. Then there's the food, which was good but not terribly unique. I got a pork bun and, from the well-known Chinatown bakery label on the bottom of the bun, I realized oh, they're really more of a bubble tea place, got it. Which is fine! Its a great pork bun! It's fine, just a little less exciting. I also got some dumplings which were solid and certainly affordable. Brew memories is a quaint shop in Park Slope that is a refreshing addition to the neighborhood. The back of the store has a cute rustic feel and there are always new plants being put in the front of the store. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The bubble tea is ok. I wouldn't come here for the bubble tea, but their pastries and their banh mi/food items are pretty good! The pastries are from Colson Patisserie plus some of their own homemade soufflés or egg tarts. It may not be the same quality as specialty Chinese pastry shops but it's nice to have in the area! read more

The surprise hit here is the Beef Chow Fun. The noodles were fresh and chewy, lots of flavor, seasoned perfectly!!! The dish is topped with big pieces of succulent beef, and generous amounts of carrots, bean sprouts, and scallions are mixed into the noodles. After eating a few bites, I wanted to call the cafe and compliment the chef...but I was too busy shoving more food into my mouth. It's so good!!! The drinks are good too, but I find there is a lack of consistency. I usually order the same 5-6 drinks on the menu and some days it's super good, other days, it's just off and doesn't taste as good. I guess it depends on who's making the drinks that day. There does not seem to be a consistent recipe used or at least the staff don't all seem to follow the measurements precisely. The food more than makes up for the lack of consistency in the drinks. I come here at least once a week and will continue to come back for the food.
