My friend and I popped into Brew Box for an afternoon pick me up and we immediately loved the wall mural that said "Drink Better Coffee". Indeed, we did. We ordered the Salted Maple Latte and the Brown Butter Pumpkin Latte. I'm usually an iced coffee gal, but this hot latte really warmed me up during this cold day of sightseeing. It was the perfect amount of sweetness to strong coffee ratio and my friend really liked hers as well. There are no tables inside for sitting, you order at the counter and then take your drink to go. The inside is also really small, so I can see how Brew Box can get very crowded during the busy rush. Service was fun and friendly - the drinks came out somewhat quickly - it was a busy day. I would definitely come back to Brew Box the next time I am in town. Check them out!

Orange Pistachio Latte with oat milk was the special and it was delectable! Service was great - I only wish they had a spot to sit and enjoy the coffee! Overall, highly recommend that latte!

Interior: No seating available inside the cafe. Counter order. Service: The person working at the counter was very friendly! Our breakfast sandwiches were made fresh to order, which we appreciated. Food: My husband and I both ordered the breakfast sandwich with cheese + hot sauce. We both thought the sandwich was pretty solid!

During my trip to Salem this was one of the coffee shops in the area that wasn't swarming with witchy tourist, which was a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a pick me up at the halfway point of our tour through the city and I finally decided to be brave and try out the polar seltzer ades (lemonade seltzers - non alcoholic). The strawberry flavor I had was surprisingly good, so now I finally have a seltzer that I like! My friend in the spirit of it being fall got her PSL, which she really enjoyed. The Brew Box team was super quick with churning out her drink order along with some of the other people that had ordered ahead of us. I also really loved the beautiful mural on the wall when you walk in! If you're in Salem definitely skip the more hokey and themed cafes and stop in at the Brew Box!

Super small local coffee shop. They make their own pastries and the coffee drinks are great! Staff worked quickly to keep the line down, but with great food there will always be a line.

Loved my iced latte for a mid day pick me up! The staff is friendly and service was quick! It's also super conveniently located if you're strolling through Salem's' sights!

I got the Iced Matcha Latte w/ cherry syrup & oat milk. The staff allowed me to try to orange blossom syrup since lavender was out. And we settled with cherry with my iced matcha latte. Staff and owner were quite friendly and owner even recommended the matcha powder they use so I can make my own back in California :) The matcha latte was creamy and sweet just to my liking.

Grab & go coffee, lattes & food. My kids loved the BLT & grilled cheese with avocado. Hubby fell in love with the egg, bacon biscuit with hot sauce (you can order w/o hot sauce). Thank you ladies for your kindness & warm smiles on this overcast morning!

Brew Box was the only food spot we went to in Salem that did not come with a huge line out the door. Dropped by at 7am for breakfast and ordered an egg & cheese biscuit with an iced matcha latte to go. Biscuit was dry/rough, egg was just not good. Maybe should've went with the avocado toast? The iced matcha was not bad. Service was efficient.

A devent coffee spot in Salem. Inside aesthetic was decent and staff were friendly. Coffee did seem a bit pricey, but the ingredients in the brews were fresh, tasty, and not your average store bought syrups and add ins. They have a nice selection of baked goods as well. I would recommend this place as an alternative to the massively overhyped coffee places nearby.

Went during the busy time and even though they were slam packed they got drinks and food out fairly fast. Definitely have to try their specialty drinks they are worth it. I also ordered the breakfast burrito, it was easy to walk and eat with. If you're in Salem definitely go here for a coffee.

Great customer service, I had the biscuit sausage sandwich; was definitely worth the money and fulfilling. There is not seating inside, it's a grab and go kind of place, but still worth checking out!

The place is bright, clean, and has a modern aesthetic without feeling like it was designed solely for Instagram. It just feels comfortable. The staff were friendly from the start and made us feel welcome, which goes a long way. I ordered the Cali Smash burger, and it was a winner. The ingredients actually tasted fresh, especially the avocado, and I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the fried egg, but it worked surprisingly well. Add the Witchside sauce and everything came together better than I expected. It was also big enough that I eventually gave up trying to eat it like a civilized human being and finished it with a fork. No shame. Both of my kids ordered the fried shrimp platters and absolutely demolished them. That's usually the best review you're going to get from kids. Not a single complaint, no leftovers, and they were still talking about how good the shrimp was afterward. The menu has plenty of options, the food came out fresh, and the whole place has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Salem has no shortage of places competing for your attention, but Witchside Tavern is one I'd happily come back to. Sometimes you just want a good meal without a fog machine, a crystal ball, or someone trying to sell you a haunted spoon.

We just went in and dropped a worthy $80 on lunch - 2 tequila mules, a special of buffalo bites (if u are lucky and these are on special again - order them!). Chicken kabob sandwich - juicy, perfectly grilled chicken and my husband got the mouth-watering pastrami sandwich. We packed half of it up for dinner tonight. I only gave 4 stars due to the lousy, noisy, raunchy bar flies. They couldn't care less about other customers as they were shouting and cussing away. Having a conversation with my husband was impossible. The bartender, who was 5 stars in her service to us, attempted to remind these people to stop yelling. I understand being a local, as I am one, and it makes me want to keep my favorite places in business. However, disruptive and rude bar flies should be shut out ff earlier and asked to leave or at the very least pipe down. Ultimately, I highly recommend anyone local or out of town to try The Tin Whistle for the food and service. Maybe try one of the tall comfy wooden booths would make for a better atmosphere.

After walking by earlier, we decided on the Shanty for dinner. We ordered some of the fried cheese curds for an appetizer with a couple drinks and each got the lobster roll. Everything tasted fresh and I really enjoyed the softness of the bread with the lobster. The fries were not as great. Just something about them didn't hit like I hoped. Our server was great and the restaurant was busy but not packed so it felt nice and relaxed for our meal. The lobster roll is listed at market price so make sure you take note of that when you order. They have a "rule" that you should walk outside the building to get to the restrooms, and the dude is policing this rule since he has nothing to do. Need an extra bowl to split the soup? No worries, the dude will lecture your elderly parents his unsolicited opinions on how the soup will spill everywhere, so you shouldn't do it. Funny enough, the same dude spilled the soup all over the place when he was bringing them to us. Aside from the rude dude, prices are insane. We are not even in peak season, so they are serving the locals but their prices have a 50% or so markup from industry average. ($40 for a small and $60 for a large lobster roll). The cocktails were delicious and flavorful, though if you're looking to banish your inner demons in one sip, note that they aren't the absolute strongest in town. What really stole the show, however, was the food menu: they have a massive selection of gourmet grilled cheeses and hot dogs.
