    Rock climbing area

I have driven past this place I don't know how many times. Finally decided to get together with some friends and walk it. Plenty of parking. Many trails all leading to the same place. Shady. It is almost like taking a hike away from the city, but in the city. Not much of an incline so it is a pretty easy trail to walk. Seems like a lot of younger people visit this park to smoke together. There is a rock climbing area for people that are into that. So...not a great trail, but definitely not a bad one. It is close to home and is a break from the normal walking areas that we go to.

I loved the trials, there is a trail past the toll area (where you pay) that is narrow trails and kind of confusing to follow, but it was fun for me. Across the street from that area is where it's awesome. The trails are very well kept and even though it all looks the same you follow any trail long enough you'll find you way back to the start. Good time and I ended up running a 10k and was a great workout. Will visit again before I leave definitely!

Bresemann Forest Trail Park is a great forested park to get happily lost in. There are lots of trails in here and if you are by yourself here for the first time it could be potentially confusing to go back where you came in from. I love to go on long walks and play my Pokemon Go game as I do it. In times past this game kind of guided me out of parks that caused a little bit of confusion for me and the game helped fairly well this time as well but it is still a bit windy. If you don't play that game there are enough people tucked away back in there that could give you guidance as well I'm sure by simply asking. There is a nice little creek in here with what I would call a head gate where water is going through. The water tumbles somewhat and I think the park calls this a waterfall but it isn't precisely one and isn't too dramatic but it's still fun to take a look at. The day I was here there were turtles out sunning themselves on a log which is always fun to see. There are other interesting features in the park as well though it is mostly forested trails. There are two structures to the east side of the park near a school that looks like places where folks go to practice rock climbing. One is pretty tall and I would imagine would require some rock climbing equipment but another is pretty low and most able bodied people should be able to climb to the top of it. This park is right by Spanaway Park though I'm not entirely sure if Bresemann Forest Park Trial is considered to be a part of Spanaway Park or a different park all together. Both areas are right beside each other yet on Yelp entries both areas have their own entry. I guess it's just specifics and I'm not too sure how important it is to the casual park stroller other than Bresemann Forest Trail Park is a fun outing and if you like to hit the area's parks this is one to put on your bucket list to stroll through!

I will just say that it's really easy to get lost in here....and that's a good thing. You can cross one of the small bridges over the gently moving water that you can just about see the bottom of and enter the trail. The trail isn't too overly preened whereas you still feel like you're pretty much in a forest the whole time and feel free to take the off beaten trails and you may be confront with obstacles like logs and vines and all sorts of things. I really enjoyed this walk and how at the end of most turns you met up with the water of some sort. There weren't an overabundance of bugs or anything but it may still be good to dress for the right weather as well as take the appropriate pest control. The trail also changes incline and decline several times which is also enjoyable so wear the right shoes. Bring water as well. I'm not sure if this is the best trail for smaller dogs but you can try your luck & dogs are resilient anyway. Bring the kids because the trail isn't terribly long, so I bet they'll have a good time. The trees provide excellent shade as well. As always, take your time because you might just overlook some of the small gems hidden in this trail.

nice, well worn, short trail through a scenic evergreen forest. 1/4 of the trail skirts a creek. Mostly level with gentle rolling terrain. You might run into 1 to 2 groups of dog walkers every lap, but it was mostly uncrowded on a weekend morning. Great for a 1 to 5 mile run, more than that might take too many laps and get boring.

I have to admit I'm almost not wanting to write a review and keep this place "my little secret"... This place is beautiful! 70 acres of just random unpaved forest trails and streams. You walk in through the metal gate and can truely get the feeling of "getting lost" if you want to even though you know youre only a moment from the "real" world! I LOVE it! Not a good place for strollers, nothing is paved... And sometimes trees are down in the path, but usually all paths are kept pretty clear. Most are not at much of an incline and are an easy "hike", but there are a couple hills, and if you go a few miles around here you can def work up a good sweat! There are two benches on the path overlooking the pond, that is spectacular! Must see. There are no garbages or bathrooms but a good tip is right across the street is spanaway lake park, which has a restrooms. I have spent many hours on this trail and have needed to cross the street sometimes! The lake itself is worth the trip... Beautiful, But it's a lot more commericalized than the trail which is rustic and perfect.

I LOVE this place. Lots of trails and huge climbing rocks. A beautiful waterfall if you can find it. So many directions you can go and some our dead ends but so peacefull out there. Feels like a real forest. Barely any trash. The creek is for the most part very clean

Bresemann Forest is a nice little chunk of woods adjacent to the Sprinker Recreation Center in Spanaway. There are a few well-maintained trails through the forest and along Spanaway Creek, and several smaller offshoot trails. It was kinda muddy but not at all crowded when I was there; the dog loved it (of course, he's happy going for a walk anywhere)! Due to budget cutbacks, be prepared to pack your own doggy-doo and trash out with you-- there aren't any trash cans except at the main entrance.

It's such a beautiful park. This is the first park we visited when we moved to Washington and we were in awe. The trees are so tall, dense, green, and pretty. The side paths near the bridges and so beautiful. And I love the smell of the air. Not an intense hike so it's nice for a constant visit. We even took our easter pictures here and they turned out lovely.

Beautiful park that backs up to spanaway lake. Well maintained trails and facilities. My dogs had a blast playing in the water and chasing the ducks. And its only $3 for a day pass

Very nice place to walk. Shorter trail but in between the trees are beautiful. Our did enjoyed the paths to the small creek.

The playground is split into an older kids side and a younger kids side, with 1 entry (and a fence surrounding). Visibility isn't perfect but the single entry point is great if you want to stand in the middle to keep an eye on kiddos. Great spot for play dates (come with a coffee!). There are portapotties at the park and a real restroom a small walk down the path. Park is great for kids to use their imaginations and play, which is so much fun. Great spot to bring a ball and play catch or picnic to sit and relax or bikes! Can get hot - wear sunscreen if the weather is nice. Friends said it's also fun to bring bikes or a stroller and hit up the cafe (a bit of distance from the playground) and have some sweet potato fries.

My kids love coming here to play, scooter and walk around on the paved trails surrounding the playground. The playground is divided with an area for toddlers (2-5) and older kids. Spacious parking lot and picnic tables as well around. Restrooms are nearby as well - they are well maintained and nice as far as public park restrooms go (heated in the fall/winter time). There is also a little library here too. I enjoy coming here every time!

Several of the pieces of equipment on the fitness trail are kaput, but it's still a nice place to walk through. Lots of picnic shelters that can be reserved, though some are kinda really in disrepair. The log cabin style one looks rustically nice, but there are a lot of holes in the roof. There's also a creek with easy access so you can dip your feet in on the hot days. Definitely awesome when our giant sky oppressor is in full force since you can hide under the trees, but a good option regardless of weather.

This is a great park for the summer. It's CRAZY shaded so you don't have to worry about the slides getting hot (which is crazy because they're metal). There are two play structures - one being suited to toddlers and one to older kids. The highlight of the park is obviously the creek. It was a warm day and I dressed my kids accordingly because I knew they'd play in the water! Annnnnnddd they did. I'm glad that they did because it's a great element to the park. I don't think this'll be a fall season park choice, but for warmer days, it is THE spot. Worth the visit! There's also trails surrounding the park if you're looking for a little oasis tucked into the city.

To avoid a very long walk we parked one car at the East Puyallup Trailhead and began our walk in by parking with our other car at the McMillan Trailhead. The walk was very enjoyable and the summer day we chose couldn't have been perfect with warm but mild temperatures. More forested scenery to enjoy as you walk between these two trailheads as opposed to going the opposite way to Orting. I am eager to tackle more chunks of this trail but have held off due to other summer time activities and we also learned that parts of the trail would be closed for maintenance for a part of the summer due to needed improvements so we are holding off to continue more pieces of the trail until Autumn where we hope these closures have expired and the maintenance is finished.
