    Welcome to Goldmyer Hotsprings
    Nina M.

A very memorable experience. Goldmyer is a non-profit that runs/maintains the hotsprings and only allows 20 people per day to enjoy. At one point, the natural hotsprings were a popular unregulated hang out spot and they got trashed. Goldmyer limits the volume and thus maintains this magnificent space clean. My partner and I backpacked in from Show Lake. We were unaware that Goldmyer accepts cash only but the nice groundskeeper (who stays on the premise for an entire season w/her partner) allowed us to use the springs and camp as long as we promised to pay once we were back to "civilization". This was easily done by calling in a few days later with our credit card info. Day use is $15/person and it's only an additional $5 per site to camp for a night. Both are well worth it. The campsites (there are about 15 or so) are pretty close together but are absolutely gorgeous. Standard space to put a tent, fire pit, and a "picnic table" set up with natural logs. Site included bear canisters which go up in the tree at night. These spots are right by the stream so you don't have to hike out for drinking water! Wonderful camping grounds. I highly recommend coming here, whether by hiking in or driving (roads were closed this past summer, so I suggest calling in to make sure before driving over). Also, make a reservation online. Don't take a gamble like us. The only reason we were able to walk in is because the road closure prevented most visitors from coming and only those of us willing to hike long hours were able to make it there. Lastly, not sure what the other reviews about rude service are all about but we had nothing but the most friendly interactions with both the groundskeepers when we visited. They were very informative and engaged in some small talk apart from answering our questions. The groundskeepers do rotate every 3 months though, so who knows if I had different people. NOTE: There are no showers but there is a clean little outdoor restroom facility.

Soooo this is exactly what my tired old body needed.... and to be honest will be a vacation memory that I'll cherish for the rest of my life. Amazing drive, slightly adventurous with a 4wd truck and decent weather. Surprisingly there were a few people that made the drive to the trailhead with low clearance vehicles... Pay attention to the directions, they were solid. Fantastic scenery on the hike along the river. It was a bit long but fairly easy. Hit the website and be sure to make a reservation FAR in advance to visit this majestic place. Leave your clothes and stress behind...

Absolutely gorgeous!!!' Well worth the hike for a day or camping. Bit of a bumpy drive - 4 wheel recommended.

It keeps people away from the tunnel traffic along that road. It's still a work in progress with many developments planned in the future. There's still a lot of construction near Belltown as of June 2025. We stayed in a hotel near the park. It's super close to Pier 66. The park currently connects Pioneer Square with Pier 62, and has great views of Elliott Bay. We took the elevator up to the Overlook Walk so that we could gain access to Pike Place Market. There are also stairs that take you there from each side of the walkway. I don't remember it being this easy back in 2011. Heck, I don't even remember seeing the ferris wheel at Pier 57. When did that happen? It's a large and beautiful greenspace that's perfect for locals & tourists alike. We kind of lost our bearings for a bit, but then it became all clear that we were headed the right way to the market. I really like what they have done here. It will be cool to see it again once it's all done, and there's no more construction. It was a nice walk along the bay.

My friend and I visited on a Friday around 2 PM, and there were a few spots open, so getting in was really easy. I loved how simple everything was to navigate, there's even a map available when you enter. Entry and parking are both completely free, which is a huge plus. We walked along the trail and I'd recommend spending about 2-3 hours here if you want to take your time and fully enjoy it. We had to speed-run our visit because we had another errand afterward, but it was still incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend stopping by the bridge, it was very therapeutic and relaxing to walk across. There are plenty of benches and seating areas along the way, perfect for taking breaks or just soaking in nature. The quality of the space is amazing, with a wide variety of rocks, trees, and scenery that make the whole experience feel peaceful. There are also bathrooms located at the front, and you're never too far from other people, which made it feel comfortable and safe. Overall, I definitely recommend stopping by this place.

There are few groups that after you volunteer with, you instantly see the results of your labor. I'd like to take a moment to write about my experience as a volunteer. Since the first "work party" with WTA, I have fallen in love again with nature. I am smitten with the trees, wildlife, and the sound of the forest. Every volunteer event is another chance to reconnect with mother earth. You would be amiss if you never visited a state or county park, never mind renovating or building a trail for others to also experience. So what's the experience so special? I would go out on a limb, and say that from the moment that you step foot into your first event; people who genuinely care about giving back instantly surround you. Conversations are struck, and you are in a family, you are accepted, no matter whom you are. Sign in; helmet on, safety lesson, and the team is on their way. The number one rule is to be safe. Second rule is to have fun. Third rule is to get work done. I remember being nervous about hiking a trail carrying a shovel and pick, not really sure where and what I was doing. That quickly passes, as Assistant Crew Leaders help guide you forward; you probably know more about what you are doing, than you think. Common sense rules, before you know, you have improved on a section of trail. You have literally moved earth. I have met some of the most awesome people out on the trail, working with them, and forming friendships and respect for hard work. Along the way, hikers pass through, sometimes thanking you, but always appreciative of the work done. It's 8 hours of commitment, and they expect you to be there. You take breaks when you need to, and you work at your own speed. You can make it a casual weekend, or make it into an intense workout. I encourage anyone to volunteer with WTA. It's fulfilling and without question, one of the best experiences when it comes to giving back.
