Always a crowd pleaser even if I look around and question where I am these days. Can go down to the river, easy stroll for old people, the flip flop wearing crew, and strollers.

We were already in the area and decided at the last minute to swing by Snoqualmie Falls around dusk, and honestly, that ended up being the best decision. It was absolutely beautiful. The falls themselves were stunning, especially with the evening lighting and mist coming off the water. One of my attached photos in particular from the lower part of the walkway came out amazing. The views from both the upper and lower viewing areas were gorgeous. It was a little crowded when we went, but parking was surprisingly easy to find. The upper walkway/viewing area definitely had a lot of people though. There was also a family there taking wedding photos while we visited. They weren't rude or anything at all, but they were using quite a bit of the viewing space, and I personally didn't want to accidentally end up in anyone's wedding album Because we came later in the evening, the café was already closed, so we didn't get a chance to try any food or drinks there. Overall though, it was such a relaxing and beautiful stop before heading home for the night. Definitely worth visiting if you're nearby, especially around dusk.

A fantastic weekend getaway. It's famous from the TV series twin peaks. In summer, the water volume is high. The lower parking lot is closer to the falls and river access. It's a little rocky near the river.

Not too far from home. It was a very nice day to be out! There were lots of people, but it was nice to see this spectacular view!!!

Free! There is free parking to the right and $10 parking to the left. the day we were there there was adequate free parking and it really isn't that much more of a walk so I recommend you give that a try. this is a must-see for visitors to the Pacific Northwest. it's beautiful! Snoqualmie is a great place and The wider community has fantastic restaurants and wineries and it's just a great day trip to come up to the mountains and enjoy the falls.

This place is absolutely mesmerizing. Whether the river is full or not, it's always incredibly beautiful and makes for a fun, short hike. My pup Hope enjoys it every time too! I've brought countless friends and family here to soak in the greenery and take in the breathtaking views. The area is well maintained and always bustling with visitors. The restaurant on site is also excellent and a great way to wrap up the experience.

Beautiful spot to come and visit. Came recently and loved it. The whole area was clean, moderately packed with guests and had scenic trails to get to the falls. It was a pretty easy trek to the falls however there are many steps to get there.

My friend and I made a quick stop at Snoqualmie Falls on our drive from Leavenworth to Renton and then onward to Seattle and it was the perfect break in the trip. I love a good waterfall and this one exceeded expectations. While we didn't have time for a hike (there are a couple of scenic trails in the area), we did use the clean restrooms, browsed the super cute gift shop which also has a cafe and then took the short, well-maintained walking path to the viewing area. The waterfall is truly breathtaking, with a powerful, misty cascade surrounded by lush greenery. I very much appreciated the informative placards and displays both in the visitor center/gift shop as well as along the path which highlighted the history of the falls and their importance to the region, including the connection to the local Snoqualmie Tribe and the role of the falls in hydropower production. Even with our quick visit, we left feeling refreshed, and with some beautiful photos! If you're anywhere nearby, I would definitely recommend stopping here - whether for a longer hike or just a quick leg stretch like we did. Pro tip: The upper parking lot is free while the lower lot is paid parking :)

Just a short drive of 30 to 40 minutes away from Seattle, this is one of the things to see when you're in Washington. We heard about this place from our concierge at the hotel We stayed at in Seattle. This is a free place to see one of the iconic waterfalls in Washington. There are different points of view to see the falls. There is also a visitor center with a coffee shop and gift shop. If you decide to go to the lower viewing areas as we prepared to hike. Unfortunately, my family and I didn't go because we had our father who was on a mobility scooter. The great thing about this place is that there are signs for ADA and plenty of parking.

Really cool water falls up in snoqualmie. Best to go on the weekdays since i bet weekend would be crazy busy. You do have to pay for parking

The killer hike back up is worth it!

What an incredible experience. The falls viewing areas are easy to access and offer stunning, incredible views. Many opportunities for selfies, panoramic photos, and just beautiful scenery. After about nine months of medical appointments, surgeries, treatment, and difficulty doing anything remotely difficult, and four months of trying to get stronger and build endurance, this was the moment of truth. The hike down was said to be steep, but manageable; however, the hike back up was expected to be much more difficult. As the friendly woman in the gift shop explained to us, "it's not for the faint of heart." Supposedly, the height is equivalent to a thirty story building. That's a lot of stairs. Well, we're here so we might as well do it. What's the worst that can happen? We take our time going back up. If we can get down, we can get up. There were a lot of people walking the trail and everyone we encountered was at varying degrees of fitness-kids, older folks, athletic types, strollers even (I'm pretty sure), people in sandals holding cigarettes. Yep.... We can totally do this. The trail down was indeed steep. There were huge beautiful trees along the way. We were informed by signage of the possible wildlife encounters; we saw squirrels. Eventually we get to the bottom and we were rewarded with breathtaking views. We took in the site for a little while and took a little break before heading back up. The hike up was indeed more challenging and quite steep, but doable. We took our time and took a few breaks and came back up stronger and better for it. As it turned out, we are not faint of heart.

During the lead up for our trip to Seattle, I looked up a few places to go hiking and see waterfalls. Snoqualmie popped up consistently on Instagram and AllTrails. I'm, at best, a novice hiker, but can still work a trail. The drive over was very pretty and the scenery spectacular. We knew there were three vantage points and told ourselves we were only going to do two, since all signs pointed to the low vantage being extremely difficult to do. Enter our pride to tell us we could do it easily. The hike down is relatively easy, albeit a bit steep. You're rewarded by a beautiful view of the falls and the sound of crashing water. Going up, though, is a different story. It's steep, it's taking your breath away (in literal and figurative senses), but it's rewarding and beautiful. So, what did ny pride do to get me to do it? Saw a gal doing it with flip flops, saw an older man with cowboy boots doing it, and a few senior citizens doing it while having a fun conversation. You're damn right I did it. Heart rate is 133 bpm and all.

The waterfalls were beautiful here. We hiked down to the bottom of the river which wasn't a difficult hike. Beautiful views from up top and from the bottom.

Do I need tennis shoes or can I use Tevas?

It's completely paved if you just rant to view. If you wanted to hike Dien to the base, it's a super steep hike but I don't think most people do that one

Do you have to hike to see a view of the waterfall?

You can see the top of the waterfalls from the platforms just off the parking lot by the Salish Inn, or from the lower falls parking lot and a short walk.

Is the snoqualmie falls open during winter?😊

The falls are open from sun up until sun down, every day of the year. Admission is also free!

    Where is the free parking?

Look for the Lodge, then it's across the street!

Can you swim here or somewhere near by that isn't freezing?

Yes, down the river in the river pools during a sunny day.

Does anyone know what time they open on weekends? Their website is defunct & the phone number told us to leave a message.

It's open everyday. Usually it opens at 8a Parking is $5

Staying in downtown.. What's the best kind of transportation there? How much is Uber/Lyft? Where is…

Don't Uber or Lyft it's better to rent a car. It's 20-25 miles east of Seattle. Good luck plus if you rent a car you can do sightseeing.

Isn't there a trail that goes from the town of Snoqualmie to the bottom of Snoqualmie Falls.?

Yes, there is. It is very pretty with a lot of tags for plants. There is also a parking lot near the bottom of the falls if you do not want to do the hike. The lot was pretty empty when I was there in early May.

Built in the 1930's, it is a former WPA project. Until the early 2000's, it was part of the King County Parks system when it unceremoniously closed in order to save money. Fortunately, local community members banded together and formed King County Metro Parks. Visions were shared, plans were made, Public Bonds were proposed and passed. In the past several years we have seen the property and building transformed. It supports and/or hosts many classes and local events, including Family entertainment (Family Night), a variety of seasonal craft shows, Haunted House, Festival at Mt Si, North Bend Farmer's Market and much, much more. There's a local pool which offers classes, inexpensive swim sessions and rental for parties and events. The Community itself is also available for events. This was a tough hike, even though I chose it since the book said "moderate" and even looking up some reviews people had said the hike as relatively simple to enjoy a fantastic lake view. We were both pretty dead at the end due to the length and steep inclines. Knees were pretty banged up because of all the rocks. The trail in the beginning wasn't so bad, definitely got my heart pumping because of the elevation, but as you go higher up there were a lot of switchbacks and seemingly no end in sight. We hustled up the mountain pretty quickly though, which was why we were so tired at the end. The view is definitely worth it in the end; recommend bringing a hammock! There's also plenty of sitting area through slabs of rocks. Coming down we encountered: 1) a girl who was crying we believe because of the toughness of the trail, 2) a couple who stopped us to ask how much longer it was to the top (they unfortunately weren't even halfway) which signifies how tough this hike was. Definitely recommend bringing more than enough water or you will definitely be dehydrated (like we were). Otherwise glad we did this and would recommend (you won't regret it but your body will hate you haha).
