The park offers a beautiful view of Magnolia, Ballard, and the Fisherman's terminal. It's a wide open space, perfect for star gazing. The art at the park includes a sun dial, cement orbs, and the entrance is paved with a design of moon phases. We found wild dill, and rose hips in the park.

Mostly it's visited by people who live around it. While here you can visit the community P-Patch, which is basically a garden, and you can have a picnic. Cool story about how the name of it came to be. It's located on 5th Avenue N on a big hill. This street used to be one of the main trolley lines from 1890 to 1940. Basically that's how it came to be. The park has a few features worth checking out. One of these is a natural play area. This is a good place for children to explore nature and to of course play. Also there's a community garden. The P-Patch is used to grow flowers, food, and herbs. Has a lot of benefits for the community. It's a mostly quiet but enjoyable park. This is good for chilling, gardening, and whatever.

This was such a strange little park…read more Although it does boast a community garden and quite a bit of seating, google says there should be more to the park and an accessible small path to the greenbelt. While at some point it must have been a path, it doesn't look to have been recently attended to and seemed washed out and overgrown. Where Streissguth Gardens was very much a hidden gem, Trolley Hill Park was overall a bit of a let down. If you're in the area it's not a bad place to stop, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Now let me tell you something: if you can't have a good time down here, the problem ain't the waterfront... the problem might be you. This place is part boardwalk, part cobblestone promenade, and part giant outdoor living room for the whole city. People strolling around with ice cream, cameras swinging from their necks, street musicians playing tunes, and ferries sliding in and out like clockwork from Colman Dock. The views alone are enough to stop you mid-stride. Out across Elliott Bay you'll see ferries gliding by, sailboats cutting through the water, and mountains sitting out there like they're posing for a postcard. Along the way you'll run into some of Seattle's greatest hits: the towering Seattle Great Wheel spinning over the docks, the fascinating exhibits inside the Seattle Aquarium, and enough tour boats, food stands, and seafood joints to keep a hungry traveler happy all afternoon. It's the kind of place where you start walking with no plan and suddenly realize you've been wandering for hours. And the place keeps getting better. After the old Alaskan Way Viaduct came down, Seattle started transforming the waterfront into a huge public promenade. Now there are smooth walking paths, scooter lanes, bike routes, and wide open plazas that stretch along the shoreline. Grab something to eat, hop on a scooter, wander the piers, and soak it all in especially if you're lucky enough to land one of those rare sunny Seattle days. When the sky's blue, the ferries are moving, the wheel is spinning, and the bay is sparkling... well, that's about as good as a day in the city gets.

This park is amazing! It connects Pike Place Market with the waterfront which is where I saw the…read moremajority of people enjoying it (but it actually covers 20 acres from Belltown to Pioneer Square). It's pretty thoughtfully designed with playgrounds, bike lanes, thousands of native plantings, public bathrooms, and water fountains. There's a bunch of sculptures too. There are plenty of places to sit down and enjoy the views of the water or to have a small picnic. Be sure to check out the park's website to look at upcoming events - there are food trucks, popups and markets that are held at the park. Apparently there are also sauna socials? Cool concept. Overall, this is a wonderful redevelopment of the area that used to be a busy urban roadway.

Woodland Park is more than 90 acres and takes up a few blocks in the Green Lake and Phinney Ridge neighborhoods. A lot of outdoor activities to do here. There's baseball fields, a dog park, and trails. Cool history about how it came to be. It's been around for a long time and the neighborhood pretty much grew up around it. This was originally the estate of lumber mill owner Guy C. Phinney. After he died it was bought by the city. In 1902 it was turned into one of the city's parks. Basically the park has two halves. The eastern half has baseball fields, a dog park, horseshoe pits, lawn bowling, a picnic area, a pitch and putt golf course, a skate park, and trails. The western half has the Zoo. In 1925 a memorial was erected for late President Warren G. Harding. Just a couple years earlier he made a speech here to the Boy Scouts. It was one of the last speeches he made before he died. The memorial was later demolished, and the site is where the African Savanna exhibit is today. Of course there's many animals to check out here. The rest of the park also has many birds as well as beavers and coyotes among other species. Getting here by a bus is a good idea. It's got a few that go up Fremont Avenue and the other streets. The most popular thing here is the Zoo but there's plenty of other things to do here like playing baseball, jogging, and whatever.

We dropped in, giggled about the tiny rock wall and kept on our walk. Overall, a very cute park.

This area looks so much better now that the old Alaskan Way Viaduct was removed back in 2019. The…read morepark was designed with pedestrians in mind. It keeps people away from the tunnel traffic along that road. It's still a work in progress with many developments planned in the future. There's still a lot of construction near Belltown as of June 2025. We stayed in a hotel near the park. It's super close to Pier 66. The park currently connects Pioneer Square with Pier 62, and has great views of Elliott Bay. We took the elevator up to the Overlook Walk so that we could gain access to Pike Place Market. There are also stairs that take you there from each side of the walkway. I don't remember it being this easy back in 2011. Heck, I don't even remember seeing the ferris wheel at Pier 57. When did that happen? It's a large and beautiful greenspace that's perfect for locals & tourists alike. We kind of lost our bearings for a bit, but then it became all clear that we were headed the right way to the market. I really like what they have done here. It will be cool to see it again once it's all done, and there's no more construction. It was a nice walk along the bay.

It's been a while since I last visited Pike Place Market, so the entire waterfront looked different…read moreto me, and this new pedestrian overpass caught my attention when I was walking around the area last week. Reading the other reviews, apparently this is pretty new, completed within the past 9 months, and provides a direct path from the market area to the piers, while simultaneously adding seating, and a place to stop for views of the water and the city skyline. Seems like a welcome addition to the area and worthy of stopping by for a gander if you're in the area.
