Lovely place to visit for views of the skyline! Parking is along the street and could take a bit of time but parking further away isn't a big deal because it's a nice walk.

I saw this place from my laptop as one of those Microsoft wallpaper/login screens. Was hoping to go there one day and boy I was not disappointed! What a great view! So good that someone was getting their wedding photos that same day I was there! Great place to chill, eat ice cream, chat and even get a workout in the stairs!! Will come back for that workout in the future!

This is definitely a 5 stars for the view. You get sweeping panoramas of Downtown Seattle, Elliot Bay, and even Mount Rainier. Recommended to visit during a clear sunny day for the sun set. However, there will be crowds as this is one of the famous sunset spot in the city.

Had to come here again to put my chooky fam bam on. My favorite spot in Washington state. I could never get tired of it

Been here twice. 2 different seasons but both during sunset (most popular time to go). Let me tell you. The most iconic views of the city skyline. This park is located in such a cute neighborhood on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill. I feel bad for the residents because it is so busy! If you keep driving around, you should be able to find parking. Even if you're few blocks away, it's a nice walk through the neighborhood. The homes are huge! Back to the views. Breathtaking. Almost like a postcard. I was lucky to get clear skies both times I visited. You can see the space needle and Mt Rainier in a faint distant. Check it out next time you're visiting Seattle!

Such a hidden gem! The only way we found it was thanks to an uber driver! The most beautiful view of the city. It's much more prettier in person. It would be nice to bring lunch and to relax at. A must goto, it wasn't crowded at all.

    absolutely breathtaking!

Absolutely breathtaking any time of year, any type of weather. Say hello to a wide panoramic view of Seattle - including the needle and Mt. Rainier. I am so grateful parks (viewpoint?) like this exist. :) They really highlight the beauty of our city. There are a few benches here to chill at too if you want to sit and take it all in. Here's a perfect Seattle morning: Getting brunch at a spot nearby Queen Anne and wandering down and enjoy the views at Kerry park.

    Classic Seattle Skyline through sculpture.

Rain or shine one can get the classic photo of the Seattle skyline. There are benches around and a small strip of grass. It is really just a viewing area. Down below there is a playground if you have children and grassy area. Early mornings are nice...fewer people if any. If visiting in March be sure to bring a rain coat!

An absolute must see whilst visiting Seattle. Beautiful sunset views. On a clear day you can see all of downtown and Mount Rainier.

Amazing views of the Seattle Space Needle! Too hazy to see Mount Rainer, but still stunning.

Come for a phenomenal view of Seattle's skyline. There's a ledge you can sit on and enjoy the sight. Other than the view, there are a few benches, grassy areas, and a sculpture. Below is a playground and field.

Check out the good views of Seattle from this park that's always got photographers and other influencers. It seems to be the best spot to see the city skyline including the Space Needle. Kerry Park can get crazy busy at times. Always seems like there's some event going on here. This is a popular place for things like wedding photos and that kind of stuff other people pretend to care about it seems. A kind of hard place to get to with a lot of walking up stairs and crap. It's located on Queen Anne Hill. This is considered the best place to get views of the city skyline. Also you can see the natural beauty. This offers good looks at Elliott Bay and Mount Rainier. All this here and the park is only an acre. Before getting to it there's a playground. The stairs lead up to a platform with a few benches where you can look out and sit. A sculpture by Doris Totten Chase is at the center. Changing Form is a simple looking but classic structure. An interesting history. It was donated by lumber magnate Albert S. Kerry and his wife Katherine. They lived close to it and thought everyone should get to enjoy the views. For sure a lot of people have seen these even if it wasn't from here. This is a popular spot for television shows and newscasts to film openings. Got to go and check out the city. It's located on West Highland Drive between 2nd Avenue West and 3rd Avenue West on a big ass hill. The climb up is the worst thing about it but it's worth it so whatever.

This place is breathtaking! My photo doesn't justify how pretty the city really is! Glad my husband found this place and took me there! He has an interest in photography, so it was the perfect spot for him to enjoy the 20-minute mini-deep-dive session. While he was doing that, I had a moment to close my eyes and enjoy the breeze. I went there in May and the weather was beautiful! A bit cooler and stronger wind towards the end when the sun was almost all set. Be sure to bring a jacket just in case!

Ask the Community - Kerry Park

    Is there handicap parking?

It's simple street parking, first come first serve! The earlier the better and you'll have front row center!

    Are leashed dogs allowed?

The park is the size of a postage stamp right next to the curb. It's just an observation parklet with benches. Leashed dogs are everywhere in seattle so taking your pet will not be out of the ordinary.

Is there a restroom at Kerry park?

Unfortunately no. Kerry Park is literally just an open space to enjoy the skyline of Seattle. But there are a lot of restaurants/businesses down the hill I'm sure you can use.

Is the view of Mt Ranier unobstructed?

Depends on the day and how cloudy it gets. Not necessarily unobstructed typically

It's really cool that there's a lot of chickens and Vanny so you can just go up and play with as well as all the little structures in playground and stuff . I will say one of the most offputting things was while we were looking at the chickens. Some woman next to us was kind of talking about the park, not being open to the public and going on and on about it. I may be thinking too much into it although she was talking to someone else and right next to us, but it did kind of seem like it was directed towards us. I would just recommend checking in public hours as the other hours are for the preschool attendees.

We came during Christmas break so there was no one there. After an hour of play we did see about three other families playing all wearing masks. My toddler loved running around the place. There were chickens to say hi to and a cool red truck he could sit in. The musical instruments were fun for him to bang on as well as jumping on the balls and hill. There is actually a basketball court right next to it so you could actually bring older kids and have a game. Wear rain boots as it can get a bit muddy during the winter months. Highly recommend coming here for great imaginative play.

Woodland Park is more than 90 acres and takes up a few blocks in the Green Lake and Phinney Ridge neighborhoods. A lot of outdoor activities to do here. There's baseball fields, a dog park, and trails. Cool history about how it came to be. It's been around for a long time and the neighborhood pretty much grew up around it. This was originally the estate of lumber mill owner Guy C. Phinney. After he died it was bought by the city. In 1902 it was turned into one of the city's parks. Basically the park has two halves. The eastern half has baseball fields, a dog park, horseshoe pits, lawn bowling, a picnic area, a pitch and putt golf course, a skate park, and trails. The western half has the Zoo. In 1925 a memorial was erected for late President Warren G. Harding. Just a couple years earlier he made a speech here to the Boy Scouts. It was one of the last speeches he made before he died. The memorial was later demolished, and the site is where the African Savanna exhibit is today. Of course there's many animals to check out here. The rest of the park also has many birds as well as beavers and coyotes among other species. Getting here by a bus is a good idea. It's got a few that go up Fremont Avenue and the other streets. The most popular thing here is the Zoo but there's plenty of other things to do here like playing baseball, jogging, and whatever.
