I'm so amazed at how she's able to handle curriculum for different levels and know all the kids by their 1st names. She also noticed that my 2nd son was advanced for his age and, along with a few other 4 year olds, she made advanced lessons just for them. My son loved it cuz he felt more challenged and up till now (he's in 4th grade already) still remembers those lessons he learned from Kany and says those were harder than 2nd grade in public school, but it was more fun! I brought my 3rd child there who just graduated pre school this past spring as well and he loved Kany and all his teachers. Anyways, I only have good things to say about Basic Steps and Kany and I wish her all the best!

Most importantly, they know how to encourage the kids to learn. My kid learned a lot during her time there. She even tried herself to play a few advanced pieces for recitals over the years. She out grew the school after a couple of years with Ms Leah and Hannah. It's too bad they don't offer 1-1 lessons. I was sad to pull her out for 1-1 lessons now. But, I strongly recommend Do Re Mi for young beginners!

Costco and Fred Meyer are super close so if you need any last minute supplies, that isn't an issue. The staff are great and helpful. The food is tasty, the cabins are clean, and the grounds outside support a wide range of outdoor activities. There is also fooseball, ping pong, and some other games inside. A piano, and campfire are also available for jamming.

She made my family feel so welcome on our private tour and my 2 year old is in love with the baby goats. Linda was patient, kind, and informative and we've already been back twice (highly recommend the easter egg hunt/other special events too!) one small note: if you're visiting in winter/summer make sure you wear the appropriate shoes/drive appropriately it can get a little muddy but that's totally the charm of this place. the farm itself is very clean and the animals feel so at home and comfortable. it's certainly not a place for appearances. linda loves the animals and the animals are well cared for! we'll be back!! my daughter asks non stop to see the farm thank you linda!

Open Arts is a studio offering classes in drawing, pottery, sewing, voice, piano and guitar. Most…read moreclasses are for children/teens, but they do have a fair set of classes for adults as well. John, the director of Open Arts Studio, is a dynamic guy who is so charismatic...it's easy to envision him sitting at a piano, leading a bunch of people in song around a piano a la Cole Porter. He's the voice teacher and drawing teacher and he's great at both. Home schoolers note: they offer classes during the day for home school students! For me, one caveat is the price. It's not astronomical, but most classes are about $125 for a session, about 5 classes, and it adds up. I believe it's because of this that some classes aren't very full. On the up side, if you take more than one class, or have multiple children enrolled, you get a 10% discount. They hope to add cooking classes somewhere down the line. We are looking forward to the addition as I know my daughter would learn a lot because they are both organized and inspiring at Open Arts!
