I went through a life altering event in my life and they were supportive. Latest drop off is at 930am unless you let them know ahead of time. They stop serving breakfast at 830 as well. They are friendly and I enjoy their parent-kid interactions -pie day, graduation day, tea party. It is on the pricey side. For preschooler-age, it's over $1600/mo. Sometimes it can be short staffed and they'll let you know if you need to pick up your kid earlier. They have an app and you can see what they're doing. Sometimes I get photos in the app where my kid isn't in the picture. When they are busy, sometimes I don't get any pictures which is understandable. I want them to focus on what's really important. Also the app lets parents send email and communicate to the director and teachers. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get a conference in the school year. They were so busy with the end of year party that I had to make sure that I had everything packed before leaving. I liked that the teachers use white boards/paper. Let's do one better and have the kids take turns going up and presenting. I think they already do that for days of the week, etc. Overall, decent place. Daycare isn't easy and they try hard to improve their image. I know they have had rough reviews but not sure how truthful they are. Ms. Cynthia is great! She's so sweet and friendly and patient when I'm late picking up my little one. Also, Ms. Maria too! She may not bubbly but she teaches stuff and now my kid knows Spanish because of her.

She got hit by someone or she hit someone else? An accident report is filled out, and/or you are notified if there is a bigger issue. 3)The teachers are very approachable and WANT you to work with them in helping with your child. You don't just walk in and walk out without discussing the day. (Doesn't make sense if there are rules in one place and not the other...) there is a consistency and fluidity...potty training has been a snap with the positive reinforcement she receives at "school". 4) she is excelling quite beyonce her years and is learning SO MUCH about being social, sharing, being polite, etc. My Father was so impressed with the place he wanted to buy stock in it...too bad they are not publicly traded. My final thought on this place is that they focus on the WHOLE child, and not ignoring them and their play. There is no TV watching! I am particularly impressed with how the caregivers and teachers take a genuine interest in the progress and lives of each of the children in their class. Whenever I've had questions, the Orchards Director has been easy to reach and prompt in her responses. The classrooms have been recently renovated and are kept clean. There is a good variety of age appropriate and safe toys in all of the classrooms. Security is well maintained with video monitoring, keypad access to facilities and fenced outdoor play areas. I love the phone application that they use for the secure check in and out procedure, as well as the photo updates throughout the day. Their Junior Kindergarten class is quite robust in its educational curriculum. The lead Junior Kindergarten teacher has been teaching young students for over 20 years, I believe. I'm honestly impressed at the progress my four year old has made behaviorally and educationally. They also have done a great job at offering events throughout the year. Kids Christmas program, picture days, Easter egg hunts, "pumpkin patch" etc. I couldn't recommend the Orchards more.

He was unhappy and did not want to go back. So we found ourselves touring other daycares and felt the most at ease with Global Early Learning South. Our son immediately felt comfortable with Maggie, the teachers, and his peers there. Even in his first few days, we saw in his videos that he fit right in as he was jumping around with his shaker during dance class and roaring like a lion in his yoga class. In addition to the photos and videos in Procare, Maggie texted us extra photos and videos during the first week to give us peace of mind that he was in good hands. The school provides breakfast, snack, lunch, then another snack in the afternoon. These are all healthy meals and most of the time the food is organic. As a home daycare, Maggie shared that she buys only what she would eat with her family. The kids enjoy a wide variety of engaging activities, including arts and crafts and seasonal experiences. One of our favorites was watching the children raise caterpillars and then release them as butterflies. They even host fun events like mini Olympics, where the kids get to stand on a podium to celebrate their accomplishments. In addition to their regular day, they have enrichment four times a week which is included in the tuition. A yoga instructor comes in on Mondays, a dance instructor on Tuesdays, Stretch & Grow on Wednesdays, and Tumble Bus on Thursdays (my son's favorite). The school has amazing community events, a family picnic day, a zoo day, summer movie night, and the highlight of the year is the Winter Nutcracker performance. On this night the students from South and Abra's school (Pre-K across the school, aka Global Early Learning - which we know from a family friend is also amazing. These schools are right across the street and partner with each other) all perform a series of songs and a play. It is very impressive! And food is provided as well. Our son is happy and thriving at this school. Maggie and the teachers truly care for each child and you can feel it. Each student gets a special birthday party with gifts. Communication is great since Maggie and the teachers know each kid well. The student to teacher ratio is low and the tuition is more than fair (low overhead as a home daycare). There's also a lot of little things too that just makes life easy for parents. Maggie provides muddy buddies for rainy days, sun hats for sunny days, and we even get to leave our water bottle at school which gets washed every day. We could not be happier with our experience at Global Early Learning South. If you're looking for a nurturing, engaging, and caring environment for your child, I highly recommend it. The part that isn't readily apparent when you tour this home-based childcare is that there are no caregivers present who speak English for 99% of the day. This may or may not be an issue for you. But, for small children who are just developing their language skills, it is a challenge. Just as important, my child wasn't able to communicate to the providers: my tummy hurts, he hit me, etc. And, I wasn't able to communicate with them during drop off or pick up: she has been emotional this morning, she didn't sleep well last night. But for the communication challenges, we would have stayed here, but it did not work for us.
