KinderCare East Hill is an absolute gem of a daycare! Abby, the director, is just wonderful - always so welcoming and helpful. The care and structure provided at this center are top-notch. I love the unique setup with the 1/2 walls and open floor plan. the children often play in a Montessori type style. My children, ages 10 months and 4 years, absolutely thrive at KinderCare. My 4 year old is constantly coming home with new things she has learned, thanks to the caring and attentive teachers. Even my little one, who was initially hesitant to drink his bottle, has been showered with love and attention by the infant staff - and he's now much more comfortable meeting new people. What truly warms my heart is how understanding and accommodating the staff is of our family's beliefs and dietary restrictions. The kitchen staff went above and beyond to ensure that our children are well-fed and cared for, and that means the world to us. I am so grateful for the care and love that KinderCare East Hill has provided for my children. Hello, I've been apart of the kindercare family for over 12 years. I absolutely love kindercare !! That being said I've experienced south kindercare (which we loved from their care to their staff was phenomenal). Normandy Park - also great staff. Auburn kindercare which was also great. They have such a great curriculum. Which played such a huge role in me returning my children to Kindercare's. However, I must express my disappointment. We have been attending just over a month and between billing and a few other mishaps I must say my experiences have changed. I want to start with the biggest issue I've had (BILLING) , and I don't like putting my business out in public but I feel this needs to be recognized- I get help with childcare , and I have my portion in which I gladly pay because as of now holding a job with one income is hard enough. Most places bill monthly and drop one bill - this location has dropped 3 bills on me insisting I pay more than what I'm required to pay -and then it reflects negatively on my children in what they are getting in their programs. I am very frustrated with this because people get help for many reasons and to allow it to project in the classes singling children out is so horrible (and reflects negatively on the staff and how they lack the children's well-being -mentally). No other kindercare has done this in the past and now I'm starting to feel insecure about the staff chosen at this location and how they address their billing. I have never felt discriminated due to my billing assistance until now. Since when is registration billed separately and it's required to be paid separately from my assistance? And since when is the summer program an additional $80 / kid ? And again not dropped with the main bill ?? I have 2 children in daycare - being on assistance $120 + $160 additional fees on top of my regular copay on a single income is extremely hard. This has truly stressed me out and I have to say I feel since I've started we have been targeted. Not to mention the forms that I was harassed to get my doctors to fill out when it say's recommended not required by doctor and I was told "this is not correct" because the way it was dispensed is different from the way it's dispensed for another child. It's very frustrating that this is happened and now I'm just incredibly uncomfortable at this location. Other than that everything is great. My kids are enjoying it as usual. But I myself am just disappointed. read more

My son has been attending East Hill KinderCare for over a year now and absolutely loves it. The staff is all very nice but Sabrina is my favorite. She is always in such a great mood and is so easy to communicate with. This was my sons first daycare experience but after the first week he could not wait to go back! My children have been attending the East Hill KinderCare in Kent,WA for six months and so far our experience has been WONDERFUL! Right off the bat during my tour of the center with the Director, Ms. Nan, she came off as someone who was caring and passionate about working with children and keeping her staff happy, as well as the parents. Nan really keeps this center going and the entire staff is so caring. She always makes sure to keep parents informed through emails of any changes, updates, or reminders. Nan is also ALWAYS available to answer calls and address any concerns we may have. Ms. Nan and Ms. Sabrina (assistant to Nan) are open and warm and are the sweetest ladies. One thing that stood out about this center is the staff is diverse and during our tour Ms. Nan mentioned how she felt it was important to have staff that look like the children attending. That stuck with me and I love that about this location. They have a good mix of teachers from Filipino, Black, Japanese, Korean, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, and White. When my kids first attended it was a challenging transition for them but Nan and her staff were patient and compassionate. They made sure to find ways to comfort my kids and keep them safe as they processed the change. Eventually my children got used to the school and they always have stories to share about their day and what they learned. I love the KinderCare app they use to provide parents with daily report helpful. The reports provide information on what my kids are doing, what they ate, how long they slept, and how many times they used the potty. It also gives me piece of mind my kids are entertained, fed, and well cared for. We are truly grateful for the loving care from our East Hill KinderCare family! read more

My son has attended East Hill KinderCare for the last 8 months since we moved to Kent and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience here. As a pediatrician, I completely trust East Hill KinderCare with the care of my child and would not bring my infant to any other center if I could do it all over again! When I was looking around for daycares, I had a phone conversation with Ms. Sabrina who was so warm and informative without being pushy- I knew instantly that this would be a place with people I could get along with. Ever since we started, I have found everyone who works here to be so laid back, understanding, and communicative. Every pick up and drop off is so seamless and even on a few occasions when I have been late Ms. Nan, the center director, has been so accommodating and never made me feel stressed or like I need to rush to get there. The center is well kempt and looks nice- plus they take COVID precautions very seriously here and I know my child is safe. Of course I would be remiss without talking about the true gem of this daycare- the infant class teacher Ms. Jody- who has been a true godsend for us this past year. Ms. Jody is beyond amazing and I am SO SAD we have to leave her class now that my son is over a year old. Every day when my son was at daycare, I looked forward to her adorable pictures and captions of what he and his friends were doing in class. She truly cares about each and every one of the babies in her class and is so diligent about making sure they are developing different sensory, motor, and language skills. She even worked with my son on paced bottle feeds and avoided wasting my precious breast milk when he was going through a bottle refusal stage, which was such a tremendous help for me. When we graduated the infant class, I received a portfolio of all my son's photos, artwork, and different milestone report cards made by Ms. Jody and I was so touched at the amount of care and attention that went into curating all of this that I literally cried! My husband and I work a ton and I have not had time to make a lot of keepsakes for my son's first year of life so receiving this portfolio and all of the other activity keepsakes for holidays and special occasions has really helped keep my mama heart afloat this past year. Toward the end of our time in the infant classroom, they got a new teacher, Ms. Kaitlyn, who seemed like a great addition to the classroom. She is fluent in ASL and does amazing artwork! She made some fun videos for us and I could tell that she loved her job and made a great team with Ms. Jody. Unfortunately due to our work schedules, we have had to transfer to a different daycare center closer to where we live with extended hours and didn't get to spend much time in the toddler class here but we have had no issues with the transition. We will miss East Hill KinderCare so much and can't rule out coming back in the future if our work schedules permit! We would definitely not hesitate to recommend this center to anyone who is looking for a good daycare with good people who truly care about your child.
