Even though the weather didn't agree with us, we still had an enjoyable time. We purchased our tickets online a few days ahead because you get a better price that way. Each ticket is good for two separate rides. We arrived just after 10 in the morning and it was grey and overcast. The sky was very cloudy and there was a foggy mist over the mountains. It was lovely but not the best weather for sight seeing. We went ahead and rode up the mountain and back and it was fun but as you can guess the views weren't great from the gondola. About half the ride it was just like being inside frosted glass and all we could see was grey. We stayed at the top for a while but the winds were to fierce for our pup so we headed back down and spent some time eating, shopping and enjoying the area. We were hoping the weather would clear up later in the afternoon. Unfortunately for us, Mother Nature had other plans and it was cool, foggy and totally overcast all day. I wasn't even really that disappointed though because it was just so beautiful being there. It was honestly my favorite kind of weather. On our second ride, we did try riding the famous "Green Gondola". We had seen other people waiting for it on our earlier ride and asked a staff member what it was all about. They said it was just a replacement gondola so it didn't match the others exactly and we kind of laughed at how silly it is but people love things that are unique. There was no line, so we gave it a go and I'm here to tell you that it didn't part the clouds and I haven't won the lottery since riding it :) Sorry to say it is just like the red ones. Even with the weather, we made a really nice day of it and if you haven't seen this area, I would definitely recommend giving the gondola a try. I think next time we will probably risk the higher prices at the gate to make sure the weather is cooperating for the ride.

I also didn't have a review for the place previously which over time kind of convinced myself I never came here before. Even after exploring around I didn't really remember anything from before. So regardless if this is my first time or a refresher visit I paid a visit here recently. There is no entrance fee but there is a suggested donation. The little shop here is cute! There are several different sectors to these botanical gardens. Probably my favorite was one area with a lot of plants in bloom. Another area was a bit more wild and took me to a suspension foot bridge. I went across the bridge twice but kind of got a touch of vertigo as it is kind of high and the bridge wobbles a little as you walk. It's perfectly safe... it's just me and having a fear of heights. There are pleasant and tranquil water features as you wonder around and there was one with a pond with koi that I got in a short video. These gardens are very nice to kind of "get lost" in as you bond with nature and hopefully have a bit of peace with your thoughts from everyday life at least for a little while.

Geese were laying in the field, the lake was quiet, kids and their parents were playing in the playground, and people were sitting out in the pergola with picnic benches, enjoying the last days of summer. We walked the loop and the dogs go to sniff and pee to their hearts' content. The only reason why they lost a star ws because of the large amount of goose poop and the kids screaming in the playground kinda got to me, which is not the park's fault, but it's also part of my experience, so know that if you want to visit.

Public Park??? Not really!…read more I'm not prone to giving bad reviews but after a year of trying to go to this park, I think they deserve what I'm about to say . The good news is that it is small, quiet and great place to go walking or walk your dog or have a nice meal at one of the benches.... but only when you can get in. The bad news is that it's closed to the public almost 80% of the year unless you go to one of the paid events that they hold there. While I understand that they have events for 4-H and the yearly fair they hold there. They have a bunch of other events that they shut the entire park down to the general public for. Don't get me wrong .... I'm all about having events for the public. But when it's one of the only parks within about 20 miles of where we live and we like to go there, but the gates are usually shut because they're setting up for some event 80%+ times of the year, we just have gotten used to not even going there anymore. It would be really nice if the county would make a park where citizens could go to relax, walk and play regularly. Simply not fair to the taxpayers who pay for this park and cannot use it regularly.

There must have been over 200 cars registered for the car show, so the venue is large. The bathrooms were clean and had multiple stalls. There were also a few individual unisex bathrooms available. They also have a nice, large covered picnic area for use. Overall a very nice and clean venue. Would definitely attend another event held here!

They were right. My lime green kayak from a less-common manufacturer was a hard shade to match, but Rhonda re-did the work around 5 times to get as close as possible. She was friendly and great to deal with, and the price was more than fair in my opinion. When picking up the repaired boat, I asked about helmets and she was super helpful, showing me several helmets and caps, finding a good fit, and having my choice shipped to me a couple of days later since she didn't have the color I wanted in stock. She was also helpful with a problem with my backband. (And she took Apple Pay, which was convenient for me.)

I came with just two other guys and there were groups of all sizes to parties that had enough people for a full raft to both guys and girls who came on their own and joined in on a raft like ours who didn't have a party that would fill a full raft. If you're signing up for the morning session dress appropriately. I went rafting before but it must have been in the middle of the day because at that time I was hot in my gear, this time I was super cold. The trip was a blast. The guides are awesome. One raft lost people to the drops but we helped rescue everyone. I think it's totally worth your time and money. Save up for the experience, it certainly is worth it. If you are going to do only 1 or so trips, do the class 5.

This entire experience was terrible. I bought a groupon (who actually has great customer service…read morebtw) for class 3 and 4 white water rafting. We booked the rafting trip one month in advance through email communication with Captain Dave. The day before our rafting trip, I emailed him to confirm the meeting location. He emailed back saying the trip was cancelled. Well, gee, thanks for telling us before we drove an hour to Index, WA. That should have been a red flag right there that this was not a reliable company. But I really wanted to go white water rafting as I have never been before. So I scheduled out another trip for a date a month in the future. I again emailed the day before to confirm the meeting location. I received an email back saying the meeting location had changed, to a location that was two and a half hours from where I lived. Well, once again, thanks for letting me know in advance! I'm just glad I had the common sense to email and check both times. I should have taken that as the second red flag. But again, I really wanted to go white water rafting. So we get to the meeting site today, and are told that there is no white water left anywhere in the state of Washington. Well, okay. But then five minutes later, another tour guide told us it's because they don't have the permits to go up the river where there might be white water. Why are you running a company for white water rafting if you don't have the right permits?? I was told through email that the trip would be 3-4 hours long, which is good because I had a meeting I had to get back to in Seattle at 3:30pm and the trip should end at 1:30pm at the latest. We ended up floating on a river for 6 hours in the hot sun. I missed my meeting, was starving since no warning was given it would be 6 hours and no food or water was provided, and my boyfriend was very sunburnt since, once again, didn't expect to be floating on a river for 6 hours in direct sunlight. tldr; stay away from this company because they will cancel trips the day before, lie to you because they don't actually have white water rafting when they say they do, and float you an extended amount of time without warning or food or water. The tour guides are really great though and I'm sorry they have to work for this kind of company

Had an awful experience "whitewater rafting" while visiting my sister in Washington this past…read moreweekend. Here are just a few of the reasons we had a less than ideal time: 1. They called us at 8:30pm the night before to push our time back (by over an hour) and give us a new location. 2. We started an hour later than that. 3. There was zero coordination. There were not enough guides as there were boats (one went completely without a guide) and the ones we had were not experienced! They didn't know answers to simple questions about our itinerary and some did not know how to steer the boats. 4. The captain was verbally aggressive with his employees and short when patrons had questions about the ETA, etc. 5. There was no whitewater. We were literally floating down a lazy river. It was supposed to be a class II or III trip and it was certainly not even a I. 6. Our boat was defective. At the last minute the captain threw a pump in the boat which was a good move-- by the time we hit the first stop our boat had deflated a noticeable amount. My sister and I ended up leaving at the first stop (a winery...? that no one told us were stopping at?) because our guides had disappeared and all of the guests were awkwardly milling about waiting for them to return. We had no idea when we were getting back in the boat. It was a mess. As one of the employees drove me, my sister, our friend, and two other people that thought the experience was bogus back to our cars-- he pointed at the Concrete Swap Meet and said "that would probably be a whole lot more fun than being out on that water today". And he couldn't have been more right. All in all a very bizarre experience. If you're interested in whitewater rafting I would go with another company.
