The grounds here are kept very well, and the view of the lake from the trail is nice.

Bresemann Forest Park Trail

Bresemann Forest Park Trail

This place is breathtakingly beautiful. Great for kids, dogs, groups, and even if you want to…read morewander off by yourself, it would be great! There's a lake, bridge with a shallow river running under. There are a few paved trails to run on, and also unpaved trails that go into the trees more. If you have allergies like me, take Claritin or Zyrtec before you leave your house.... Then you should be good to go! There is a nice kids playground with slides and swings and a few jungle gym type obstacles. It's also surrounded by a decent amount of grass so it's also a great place to play fetch with your pets and watch the kiddos at the same time. I also noticed an area with tables/benches that were covered and BBQ grills. So I guess you could have a birthday party or group gathering here. If you have kids and want to go on the unpaved trails... I recommend bug repellent and bringing wipes, assortment of bandaids, bactine, neosporin, hand sanitizer and a small hand towel! I didn't notice any bathrooms, so keep that in mind if you're bringing kids. And also I only saw 1 trash can in the area I explored. So if you have a pet, bring extra bags to hold animal droppings until you can find a trash can! HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THIS PLACE OUT!

This beauty is 70 acres and full of lush green trees . Easy trail with no incline. This secluded area made me feel like I was miles and miles away from the city. Very quiet. It was a nice change of scenery for someone like me that lives in humid Orlando, Florida.

Playground by the Sound is the Chambers Bay park playground on the northeast corner of the park…read more Decent size parking lot, though it can be full on super nice days and in the summer (in a pinch I've parked along the road and walked back). The playground is split into an older kids side and a younger kids side, with 1 entry (and a fence surrounding). Visibility isn't perfect but the single entry point is great if you want to stand in the middle to keep an eye on kiddos. Great spot for play dates (come with a coffee!). There are portapotties at the park and a real restroom a small walk down the path. Park is great for kids to use their imaginations and play, which is so much fun. Great spot to bring a ball and play catch or picnic to sit and relax or bikes! Can get hot - wear sunscreen if the weather is nice. Friends said it's also fun to bring bikes or a stroller and hit up the cafe (a bit of distance from the playground) and have some sweet potato fries.

This is definitely one of the nicer playgrounds within the area with amazing views of the sound to…read moreenjoy. My kids love coming here to play, scooter and walk around on the paved trails surrounding the playground. The playground is divided with an area for toddlers (2-5) and older kids. Spacious parking lot and picnic tables as well around. Restrooms are nearby as well - they are well maintained and nice as far as public park restrooms go (heated in the fall/winter time). There is also a little library here too. I enjoy coming here every time!

How have I not reviewed Wildwood?! My first visit was years ago, but I recently took my kids for a…read morelast summer excursion. As per usual, it was a great experience. This is a great park for the summer. It's CRAZY shaded so you don't have to worry about the slides getting hot (which is crazy because they're metal). There are two play structures - one being suited to toddlers and one to older kids. The highlight of the park is obviously the creek. It was a warm day and I dressed my kids accordingly because I knew they'd play in the water! Annnnnnddd they did. I'm glad that they did because it's a great element to the park. I don't think this'll be a fall season park choice, but for warmer days, it is THE spot. Worth the visit! There's also trails surrounding the park if you're looking for a little oasis tucked into the city.

Several of the pieces of equipment on the fitness trail are kaput, but it's still a nice place to walk through. Lots of picnic shelters that can be reserved, though some are kinda really in disrepair. The log cabin style one looks rustically nice, but there are a lot of holes in the roof. There's also a creek with easy access so you can dip your feet in on the hot days. Definitely awesome when our giant sky oppressor is in full force since you can hide under the trees, but a good option regardless of weather.

This trail is near my home. It's a great trail for walking or biking. You can walk down to the river. This trail goes all the way down to Enumclaw or Buckley. Lots of beautiful scenery, flowers in bloom and majestic views of Mt Rainier. I have yet to do the full trail. I will as soon as I get my Ebike LOL! I often walk this trail to walk Havanna my grandfur baby. It's always enjoyable.

On the last outing Steve and I (as well as a…read morefriend) went from the McMillin Trailhead to the East Puyallup Trailhead which was about 4 miles one way. To avoid a very long walk we parked one car at the East Puyallup Trailhead and began our walk in by parking with our other car at the McMillan Trailhead. The walk was very enjoyable and the summer day we chose couldn't have been perfect with warm but mild temperatures. More forested scenery to enjoy as you walk between these two trailheads as opposed to going the opposite way to Orting. I am eager to tackle more chunks of this trail but have held off due to other summer time activities and we also learned that parts of the trail would be closed for maintenance for a part of the summer due to needed improvements so we are holding off to continue more pieces of the trail until Autumn where we hope these closures have expired and the maintenance is finished.
