Communication was straightforward and easy. The work itself went above and beyond what I expected. I initially thought I had four locks to change, but he ended up handling all six. He also proactively offered to replace the deadbolt, including adjusting the strike plate, doing the necessary chiseling, and aligning the door so the bolt closed cleanly. He made sure everything was keyed consistently, fixed alignment issues with the door and hardware, and even addressed a turn knob that wasn't seating properly -- all without hesitation. Overall, he was efficient, detail-oriented, and clearly takes pride in doing the job right. Very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend J&B Lock.

I got to the home and had no way of getting in as the key that was to be used for Emergency was not where it was suppose to be. The officers said they could not go into the house even though I was requesting a welfare check. Soon after the officer left, I called a family member of my friend and she did not have the right key to get in. I quickly did a google search for a locksmith in the area. Fortunately, I got John. John was able to open the door and we found my good friend decease. Naturally, I was upset and so was the relative. After calming down, I went out to pay the locksmith for his service. This man gave me a hug and said he was so sorry for my loss and said he would not accept payment under these circumstances. He called the police and everyone else that needed to be called. I can not say enough about this man as he showed compassion and concern. I want every person to use this man as he didn't have to do what he did and I am forever grateful to him. I appreciated that he was willing to quote and make a plan through messaging because I really didn't have time for a phone call and I needed my door handle changed fairly quickly. He came out to the house exactly as we planned and replaced my old handle with a new digital coded handle. He knew his stuff well enough to easily explain things to me and was also a really nice guy. So, I go back to look at the messages and I notice a picture of the same guy for 2 different companies. Like, what type of scam is this? This lock was extremely jammed due to my own user error. Within minutes Yan was able to get the lock back in working order. Feeling very luck right now!! Absolutely the most inept repairman that I have ever seen in my 76-year lifespan. He made my…read moreornate, expensive, front-door handle inoperable, then left with the inside knob hanging on. It came off in my hand the minute I tried to turn it. He didn't have the nerve to ask for any kind of payment. The part on my outside, front door handle meant to be pressed by the thumb would not move. Seems to me like it needed proper, internal lubrication. He immediately said an internal part was broken and needed to be replaced. First thing he did, after he had difficulty removing the inside door knob, was to strip a screw when he tried to take the mechanism apart. Soon after, it started to work properly, because it needed, as I suspected, some lube. Now, it just needed to be put back together. He tried for more than an hour, but could not figure out how to put it back together. He jerry-rigged it so the handle looked like it would stay on. It did not. A follow-up call to another locksmith turned out that a spring was somehow lost in the disassembly of the door knob. In any event, a complete replacement will be necessary at the cost of several hundred dollars. I should have known the fellow from Speedy was dicey when he immediately decided without much looking that a part replacement was needed. After he failed to get the knob back on, he hemmed and hawed when I asked if he could replace the entire thing. Clearly, he did not want to tackle that project. In his defense, he's a nice guy. Speedy may be just fine for unlocking car doors, but for anything more involved, I would look elsewhere.
