It was a Saturday evening and we returned to my mother's home with a car full of groceries. I was from out-of-town and had to drive back to Columbus. We discovered the lock was broken, and we were locked out of the house. The first locksmith I looked up on Angie's List declined to come because he said it was too far. He provided the number for another locksmith, who informed us he was no longer in the Toledo area. We checked the Yellow Pages and decided to contact Rapid Locksmith because of the ad claiming to provide quick, emergency 24-hour service. Yan answered the call and said he would be there in 25-30 minutes. He called 5 minutes later and said he had to stop for gas so it could be slightly longer. He arrived as promised and promptly drilled out the old lock, allowing us entry to the home. Then he provided two options for replacement locks. I selected one and he quickly installed it. The entire service call took about an hour. We were extremely thankful that he was so prompt, and the price was reasonable considering the quick, after-hours response. I had just purchased a new home in Holland, Ohio and wanted to change out all of the locks in my new home. I had no idea how to do this myself so I took a shot at a local locksmith company. They set up a good time for me and they came out and got the job done very quickly and efficiently. But most of all the job got done right!. The security of my family is number 1 on my list. I have to give an extremely special thank you to my serviceman Yan. First off, he drove over an hour from Toledo in the dead of night, and not only was he able to buy, cut, and replace my lost key, but he went out of his way to fix my flat tire at no additional cost which would have left me stranded had he not been there. He was also so kind as to give me a keychain ring and offer me best place to get my tire fixed. SUPER HAPPY with the services provided by Yan during our appt. with him. I was in Toledo, helping my mom, who is elderly and she had lost her programmed key to her van. The Dodge dealer gave me a phone number and it was Yan to the rescue! He took the time to explain her options, pricing, and he respected her choice. This guy did a good job. Instead of overcharging me when I was in a vulnerable position, he was honest and timely, and simply asked that, in addition to paying his fair price, I simply write a review on yelp. He had to travel roughly 45 minutes to meet me, and was able to cut a key for my 2013 Ford Taurus, which is not easy. It took him 45 mins to complete the job, and the price he gave me on the phone was the same price I paid. Overall, I couldn't have imagined my situation going much better. I called them and then needed to cancel my service, they harassed me until I paid them although they provided no service to me! I had a key broken off in my old Land Rover. I was tired of calling area shops saying they didn't want to do the job.
