    13. Boba Brown Sugar Matcha - 10/10
    Tori H.

With the new nice weather, I had to try a new drink. Their boba brown sugar matcha was INCREDIBLE!!!! I was nervous since I couldn't change the sweetness to less sugar that it would be too sweet but it was the perfect amount of sweetness! The matcha flavor came out too! The boba was the right amount of chewiness too! I also love their reusable cups with a hole for the straw! Very cute!

Stopped by this place and the inside is super pretty with a fancy vibe. A few people were there on their laptops - so it would definitely be a nice study spot, since it's so quiet. I didn't try any of the pastries but if I had I would have followed the sign that says to grab a tray, pick out what you want, and then head to the register. I ended up just getting a drink and went with the boba brown sugar milk cake shake. 10/10 would recommend!

I have been wanting to go to this sweet place like forever and we finally close to it we made a bee line to it. The place is open, wide and airy. It's like a 180 degree set up. They have a clean set up using tongs to pick up desserts. The smiling staff greets you upon getting in which is nice. The variety of sweet selection is delightful. The mango sticks and Oreo sticks are really good. We also love our taro milk paradise and the jasmine tea. All in all our escapade in this place is enjoyable. The pastries are delicious and the drinks refreshing. Don't mind coming back here more times. Thanks Brecotea.

This location is so beautiful, it is hard to believe this magical shop is tucked into a strip mall. I was happy to hear about it because I would not have known it was here. So many freshly made treats to choose from; there is also several types of beverages available. Super friendly service too. Enter a pick up a tray and tongs to select your baked goodies from the cases and bring them up to the counter to be boxed or enjoyed in this delightful setting. Everything we tried was excellent. This place is a must-visit!

The ambiance of the place is wonderful, good place to grab a pastry and drink with a friend. Their pastries are great and the service is kind. Give them a try

This place is such a unique and delicious bakery! It's European style - you grab a tray, pick out your treats and head to the counter to check out and order drinks. They have sweet and savory pastries. The wonderful thing is the sweet pastries aren't overly sweet do you don't feel heavy after eating. I have tried a few different things here and everything and been good!

If you love baked goods and boba this is the spot for you! We got here late afternoon to check it out as it was opening day. A little sad that there were literally two or three pastries left in the center of the store, but I get it, it's opening day and towards the end of the day. There were plenty of cakes and slices of cake left though. So I bought the last Bacon bun left, a Black Forest slice of cake and an Oreo cup. All yummy of course. I accidentally ordered Brown Sugar Milk with boba.... I meant to order a milk tea with boba lol... but surprisingly delicious. Boba is by far the best in the RVA area, with the perfect chew. I can't wait to come back to get more baked goods. Glad it is close! I'll have to swing by later this week when it opens in the morning!!!!

This place has a lot of desserts! Everything looks so good! I had the potted plant dessert, and also the matcha brûlée boba drink. It's a cute place to have a seat and enjoy some sweets!

Tired of the same old Starbuck's line-up? Looking to shake up your coffee routine? Look no further than Brecotea. This feminine yet chic and cozy space serves up absolutely amazing and decadent drinks and pastries to suit any palette . Savories, sweets and everything in between can be found in the numerous glass cases lining the walls of this Parisian-esque cafe. The soft, bright lighting and clean curved designs and greenery make you feel like you've stepped into a cafe right off the streets of Europe. To me this was the dream setting for a little girl's tea party and I can't wait to bring my girls (and myself!) back. I tried both a *cold* a *hot* house latte which was amazing- Espresso with steamed house milk and brown sugar boba . Their bobas are different than any I've ever had- think more chewy and gummy bearish in texture than light and bursting (at least the brown sugar- tbd for the fruitier flavors). It was so difficult picking just one thing to eat so we chose a bunch of different treats to share and taste- but there is no going wrong and just ENDLESS rows of goodies to choose from . My favorite things I ate were the chocolate danish (my litmus test for all bakeries) and an Oreo cream filled bun. Both were amazing and so light and flavorful- the perfect sweetness and texture to satisfy without sending me into an absolute sugar coma. 10/10 recommend!

A very modern restaurant with an incredible assortment of pastries - sweet and savory. Very clean and well appointed. The staff was helpful. I found the large assortment a little overwhelming in a good way and look forward to going again to try different items. I had the cheese danish and didn't love it. Probably not a good first choice on my part!

First time visiting on our road trip from Maryland . Authentic fluffy buns ! The Ube bun had flavorful taro inside . The scallion or green onion twisted bun was a nice treat - the staff offered to warm it up which was perfect young ones! There is plenty of light here, and the decor is so beautiful and clean.

This place is so nice! They have a pretty large menu with fruit teas, milk teas, etc., and a large bakery assortment in the front. The pastries all looked so lovely and they also had large cakes for purchase. This is the place for some good drinks, great desserts, and good vibes. Staff were also very sweet and fast! Worth checking out

Wouldn't recommend getting the tiramisu, it had no flavor and the cream didn't taste fresh or creamy.

I honestly like their boba more than any of the others I've tried because it's not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. I usually stick with the Oreo cream slush, that's my go to,but every now and then I'll try something different. I've had the brown sugar milk tea, the crème brûlée milk tea, and I believe the house bubble tea as well, and I've had no complaints so far. I also really like the atmosphere. It's clean, relaxed, and a nice place to sit. I usually go with my sister, and we'll just sit there and chat. It's definitely our favorite boba spot because their teas are so good. I haven't tried the pastries or cakes yet because I'm always undecided and I don't really like overly sweet things. That said, I see a lot of people raving about them, so I'm planning to try one next time, along with some other teas.

She wasn't super friendly but we get it she wanted to eat and we had kids who were slightly undecided. I hurried the kids along in choosing and left an 18% tip. I hadn't noticed that she rang in the wrong drink different than what I said. When it was made I mentioned but said it was okay I would take it anyways then I noticed the cookie on top that we had also asked to not have as one of the kids has celiac and I wanted him to be able to taste it. The girl who rang us up had put in no cookie but the girl who made it hadn't noticed that I guess. The girl making the drink that was incorrect however was INCREDIBLY rude, never smiled, acted like we were a complete annoyance to her life. If you're open and will be open for over an 1.5 more hours acting like customers are bothersome to you is insane. We did not feel welcome in the least and left immediately after receiving the correct drink.

It was buttery and toasted to perfection. The drink menu is extensive with something for everyone, they also have a variety of locally baked pastries/goods for sale. In addition to my sandwich I got the lavender lemonade lotus drink and a red velvet cake pop. All delicious! The staff was very friendly and even answered my questions about how the open studio worked as I ordered. I will definitely be back to paint something fun and maybe indulge my inner child with another grilled cheese!
