Stayed here over a lovely summer weekend to do some hiking in the greater Breckenridge area, and very pleased with out choice of accommodations. There are a ton of things to like about the Breck Inn: - Breakfast! Included! And who doesn't love fresh waffles? - Amazing staff - super friendly and helpful - Free ride bus stops within a 1 minute walk. Comes every hour in the summer, more often during ski season - Great hot tub for soaking after a long day enjoying the mountains - Spacious and abundant parking Only a few comments on where they could improve to get that fifth star: - Some of the features feel a bit dated - bathrooms, AC units, etc. - The toilet was the old small format bowl. Not a big deal unless you have a big dumper. - Sits on a BUSY road and the cars are moving! There is a crosswalk about 200 yards up. - It is almost a mile exactly from the front door to downtown, but there is a great walking path across the road that takes you right in effortlessly. All in all, we loved it, and would definitely stay again! read more

Highly recommend do not do the Breckenridge grand vacation promotional stay they lie about a few things. Checked in at hotel 1st agent was okay then try to charge me a fee for having my dog which I made the reservation and never was told there was that fee, one co worker after saying I have service animal and papers the supervisor/manager wow so rude crossing her hands big attitude was like no sorry you have to deal with the people you actually booked with asked to cancel get my money back and again she was no help then to just keep arguing barley gave us a solution help. So we will found out how rest of the stay is but if your okay with a motel 8 then this hotel is good basic room and basic amenities.breakfast could be so much better. read more

Great location, convenient to everything. Bed was very comfortable, loved the balcony overlooking the mountains and the whole condo was so clean! read more

the hotel is very close to the downtown area and I been here 3 times and all 3 times were a bit outdated, but still the best to go to. I want to come back and stay for a week on the 4th time. read more

My husband was offered a discounted rate to stay here if we attended a "fractional ownership" (timeshare) meeting at the Peak 8 resort. We took the deal and were impressed with the Breck Inn. Of course it's not as nice as the fancier resorts in town, but it was perfect for what we needed. And it was nice being super close to town. The town has a free shuttle to take you to the gondola parking lot. The free breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have any noise issues and the room was clean and had everything we could have needed in our short stay. read more

If and only if I could get a low rate I would stay here again. We got caught up in a timeshare presentation and were under the assumption we were staying at Peak 8 so you can understand our disappointment disappointment. Besides the thin walls I really have no complaint. Plenty of free parking, very satisfying free breakfast. I like the fact that they kept the area open all day and had bar snacks fruits teas coffee hot chocolate. They just also had a bowl full of different mini candies. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby by the fireplace. I did not take it vantage of going to the hot tub even though my daughter did and said it was big and great I was just way too tired after two days of skiing. If you take the free bus from the station in Breckenridge back expect a wait and you are going to ride all through the side of Breckenridge you maybe never saw. It's the purple line. If you are that tired and you've just missed the bus go ahead and walk back to the hotel it will be faster. We have always stayed a block from Main Street so it was odd not being able to just walk to town. I will say it was very nice waking up and not having to drive from Denver on a holiday weekend and sit three hours in traffic let my friend it. We found the Hotel Staff very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean, there is a mini fridge, one chair, television. The restroom has a bathtub with shower and a toilet then out in the room is a sink and mirror. Would this be the first choice I would make one coming back no but if it was the right price I definitely would. I just really like waking up and being able to walk to the gondola. read more

Acceptable if you're looking for a place to stay but could use an upgrade everywhere. The place is close to Breck with a bus stop across the street to get to town, the walk is about 20 minutes to get to the edge of the town. The beds were comfortable, best part of the stay. The Wifi was awful, didn't work on our phones, couldn't get anything on the TV not to skip. The heating in the unit was not working properly, ,it never turned off when it reached the temperature so instead we woke up sweating in the middle of the night and opened the balcony door. The unit would just stay on no matter what. Overall, the room just wasn't totally functional. read more

It's a nice clean hotel. Didn't get to use the hot tub which looked pretty nice. I'm giving it three starts because the shower wouldn't stay hot. The sink could get really hot. But the water when it came out was hot but once you turned on the shower it would get cold. We called them and they said they'd fix it. That night we got back it was not fixed. My husband called the next morning around 9am nobody answered. Honestly wasn't a bad hotel just frustrated with the shower. read more

The hot tub was open but felt lukewarm despite being set to 95 degrees. We stayed in a corner room near an exit, which felt a bit eerie at night. While the hotel is small, its proximity to Breckenridge, restaurants, and the gondola--just a 3-4 minute drive--is a major plus. However, having a window facing the parking lot made me feel uneasy about privacy. read more

Great hospitality from the first phone call to reserve our room to check in. The manager actually walked out to the parking lot with us to ensure we had a good spot to unhitch and park our trailer, and he let us park it right out in front of the office where it was safe unattached from our truck. The room was clean and updated. The bed and bath linens were high-end and luxurious. I'm not sure, but it feels as if they did a recent update/renovation. The breakfast was plentiful and good, and the breakfast room was nice. I would definitely recommend. read more

Just average folks! Average clean rooms. Breakfast is bare minimum to qualify as such. Entry from HWY South Bound requires a U -TURN on busy street. Ok parking in summer poor in winter. Hot tub was large, clean, hot and relaxing. Near major river bike trail, Rec center and police station on North end of main street. A bit of a hike to downtown but doable in good weather. WiFi worked to receive but we never tried to send anything. Stayed 3 days. Rooms need a relaxing side chair to watch TV. Internet read more

They only have studios and double queens for accommodations... and the rooms are pretty small. Spent the night up in Breck to go snow tubing and booked a room at the Breck Inn. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Check in was easy and I didn't have any issues. I would have to put this place somewhere in between Motel 6 ( I am not too proud to say that I have stayed in one) and a five star resort in the Caribbean. Probably closer to the Motel 6. The walls are thin, I heard the people next door to us when I woke up in the morning. The beds were actually pretty comfortable (if you don't have to share with another adult like I did). But I guess this is the "Breck" culture. Closer quarters and smaller accommodations - I mean, you really shouldn't be spending that much time in your room if you are skiing... unfortunately, that wasn't the case for us. If I were to go back to Breck, I would choose another place that had bigger rooms and pay the price. The old wise tale, "you pay for what you get" holds true in this case! 2.5 stars read more

This is an extremely modest 2-story hotel... no elevator, no a/c, not even key cards. They actually provide "real" keys like the old days. We would almost consider staying here again. This Inn is one of the oldest in town, so there's a certain charm factor. Maintenance and cleanliness are very good. Rooms are nicely updated and beds are comfortable. The vanities are in the main room fyi, not the bathroom, but that didn't bother us. Staff is exceptional and breakfast is basic but good considering the cost of the room (approximately $110). read more

Great hotel on the edge of Breckenridge. Pros: Front staff is helpful and friendly. We were immediately greeted upon walking in and our check in went smoothly. We were told of the very limited amenities. But you know what? I love the old small feel of this place. When we had a minor issue in our first room, they were more than accommodating and even told us what was wrong with the new room. We we're ok with no ac. Plus we got to keep a top floor with balcony that faces west. Yea we heard the vehicles on the highway, the door blocks almost all the noise. It's a small quaint hotel without a lot of the big fuss that other hotels have. The parking lot is of decent size but enough to accommodate all the rooms. They also have a free shuttle to take you down to Breck Main Street. The hot tub may not be as hot as others, but guess what? It's outdoors. Cons: So our first room had the screen door off the track and leaning against the balcony. But the second room was just fine by us. We're have kept the glass door open and the screen door closed. Recommended? If you get a room that's opposite of west facing you'll have a quiet room to get away from the hustle and bustle of Breckenridge. A place that's tranquil. So yes, highly recommend and a place I would love to stay again. read more

I decided to take the family on a quick trip to Breckenridge, I was looking for a hotel and stumbled on Breck Inn. I tend to be a bit of hotel snob...and can be super picky about rooms. I can honestly say this place exceeded my expectations. The room was very nice, new furniture, fluffy comforter, super clean... full size keurig...and more. The lobby is warm and inviting, the exterior is adorable and fits the environment well. They even have a full breakfast.. To top it off the staff is incredible...great vibe. They gave us tips on where to eat dinner, things to do...offered to take us to the ski resort, they have a shuttle, and much more. I look forward to visiting again. read more

Friday they had a plate of cookies, wine and cheese in the lobby. They have a very nice continental breakfast. Rooms are quiet. Beds are very comfortable. Not only is this place dirty and outdated, do not bring a dog unless you want to stay in your room the entire trip. If your dog barks even once, they will call you and tell you you have to immediately come back. The staff is rude and unprofessional. I've never seen such level of unprofessionalism, engaging other clients in the lobby in our conversation where I'm told inaccurate statements and then repeatedly asked if I'm calling agent "a liar." Pay a little more and stay somewhere else! read more

Breck Inn - Hotels Near Me - Breckenridge, Colorado

I was here last week for a promotion with one of the timeshares out in Breckenridge, and I have to say, I thought it was great for the rate and the customer service. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the Bulgarian shuttle driver whose name I have no idea how to spell but sounded something like "set-zo" was awesome. It was our first time at Breckenridge and he gave us great recommendations for where to start on the mountain and places to go downtown. Free breakfast is always great too; don't expect too much more than a continental style breakfast, but I'm always a big fan of a waffle machine! I love waffles before/while/after riding. Our room was a double queen and I thought it was a good size. It was clean, maybe a little dated, but I was there to ride, and not stay in the hotel, so I thought it was fine. If I didn't end up buying a timeshare there, I would definitely come back to stay at the Breck Inn. It's a really short distance away from the downtown area. Aside from their own shuttle driver, there is a public shuttle which you can take the free shuttles to get to and from through late in the night. Considering how much everything else in that area costs to stay for a night, I think the Breck Inn is a great value! read more

Simple place. Comparatively inexpensive. A bit remote from downtown, but not terrible. Nice touches: wine in the lobby and a decent continental breakfast. (Note: We went on a deal with the timeshare crowd.) read more

First, let me say that my wife and I are hotel-snobs. We typically stay at Hilton hotels as we are Hilton Honor members. However, we received a free stay at the Breck Inn (3 nights, 4 days) as a result of agreeing to go on a tour with Grand Vacations. The best thing about this place is the staff and the customer service. We have not met friendlier or more helpful staff! They were wonderful! In addition, it is a "cozy" place. But, the rooms are very small. They have no tables or desk; for say your laptop. While there is a small refrigerator, there is no microwave. The Keurig was nice. The bathroom was very tiny and the shower as well. (I should note that the maintenance guy let us borrow his TV tray for my wife to use as a small table for her laptop. That was very nice of him!) The wifi was pretty slow as well; though, it is free. The continental breakfast was ok. The only protein available was some hard boiled eggs. If you are not into carbs, then you won't really like the breakfast. I guess we shouldn't complain as it was essentially free. But, I would not choose to stay here if I had to pay for it. We would choose a facility with bigger rooms and more amenities. Again, however, let me comment on how good the staff were! Just super nice people. read more

My husband and I have stayed at the Breck Inn numerous times over the years. Out of all the lodging in town, including the more high end establishments, it is our favorite. The staff are ALL amazing. They have accommodated early check ins, late check outs, and all other requests. The rooms are always exceptionally clean and well supplied. The hot tub is always clean and uncrowded. They offer a free breakfast and have a dining area that is stocked with drinks and snacks. They participate in a recycling program for left over soaps ect. which we love. It is walking distance to Main St. and close to ski lifts. I highly recommend this hotel. I have only great things to say. read more

My lady and I enjoyed the Breck Inn. The rate is as low as you will find in a ski town. However, the rooms are nice if a bit small and dates, there is a nice outdoor hot tub, and a shuttle that will take you anywhere in town. If you are looking for a decent place to crash after skiing or hiking, this will do the job. read more

Barf Inn & Colorado Cologne friendly Short version: Stayed a week @ Breck Inn, we encountered Issues with no security, pot smokers in non smoking hotel all week, vomit in hallway & walkway, dusty room, Kuerig coffee, carb breakfast & a security camera over the Jacuzzi. Long version: I don't like to write this stuff but wanted to forewarn you of our TG week events @ Breck Inn. All true..you can't make up this stuff up! Also, some of these circumstances discussed below are not controllable by the staff but the hotel rules/policies of no smoking, security, cleanliness, hotel facility esthetics... should be enforced for the health of the rest of the hotel visitors. Cautionary note: If you are Squeamish, don't read on, just find a different place to stay. Here's are the events.. I received a deal to tour the Grand Vacations, like many of our reviewers.. but I paid extra to stay the whole week. Room Amenities As noted in the other reviews they do have small rooms but I requested the Suite which is 1 bedroom and family room with queen pull out & a full kitchen with all of the utensils, pots/ pans set up and was great size for the three of us. Not the best was the Keurig coffee, but we endured it. Odors It was all going well at the Breck- Inn but our first day Monday- upon entering after skiing, we came into the hallway which reeked/smelled of 420 and the staff apologized but nothing was done because there was pot smell in the hallway all week. Guess this is the new Colorado Cologne? Then when getting back from Thanksgiving dinner with relatives, we walked into a trash can in the hallway piled high with with bags of an odor from HE-double LL!! The stench was from large amounts of chunky vomit which apparently occurred in the main hallway. This was a serious nose holding horrible smell event. The entire hotel was nose curdling after this event. We went skiing during the day to avoid the smell but It was still going strong when we left on Saturday. Also, the trail of barf liquid trailed outside on the frozen walkway & our shoes got a little barf on the soles. No lighted or poorly lighted walkway. We ended up taking the Breck odor with us on our way to the Airport. Ewwww!! Dust Also our room has dust on top of the bed mantle & lamp. I had an allergy attack while I was there...& looking back I should have asked for a deep cleaning. My fault for not speaking up, but last thing I want to do on vacation. Breakfast Also the free continental breakfast is a standard minus the fact there is no protein options (eggs, bacon, sausage). So great for all you carb lovers.. bagels, donuts and make your own waffle which my son loved. Security We called to let the hotel know we were arriving after hours (10:00 pm). Breck Inn Lady on phone was super nice and had given us the upgrade to the suite & code to get in the front door. The problem was the door was unlocked after hour & everything was open & no one around. I had to use the phone and ended up waiting 15 mins until the night person showed up & retrieved my keys. Outdoor Jacuzzi Nice & hot with good spray & lots of towels to use. But not so private with the camera on the ceiling. Hotel should be 4 stars & even could be 4.5 but there are facility & policy improvements to make happen. So with these odd odor events I am giving a generous 2.0. 5 star for the Staff attitude but should add dusting to housekeepers agenda. If you are the green lover, this hotel might be a great place since they are a 420 friendly hotel. read more

Very pleased with our stay. Nice quaint little hotel. The breakfast and shuttle service make up for any small issues you may have. If were not lucky enough to find a great deal at a hotel on the mountain this is where we would stay. Thank you for making it a great stay for a week or so. read more

Great place to stay while in the mountains at Breckenridge. It was worth the money and drive.

OVERPRICED. $300.53 a night ($49 mountain view) no microwave in room, and no good tv signal. I will admit that staff are very nice, good looking hotel, quiet/peaceful, and free shuttle. Breakfast only consists of bread (donuts, waffles, muffins), cereal, and coffee. Just stay in Frisco for half the price & drive up to breckenridge for the fun. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. This is a mom and pop type place, and considering their rates, I wasn't quite sure what I was in for. The room was roomy, very clean and up to date. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Parking was easy in the large (for Breck) front lot. They offer free WiFi which was decently fast. Dish Network TV, and a complimentary breakfast. If you've ever stayed at a Towne Place Suites, that's the breakfast you can expect. I highly recommend this gem of a little hideaway. Be aware, no elevator, so if you're on the second floor, you're humping your bag up the stairs. read more

Overall, not a bad Hotel. It's not the Ritz, or the Four Seasons, but it's definitely cozy. 5 minutes from the shops on Main Street. Free Continental breakfast that includes cereal (multiple selections), bagels, doughnuts, boiled eggs, juice, coffee and yogurt. Rooms are kept up well unlike a lot of smaller hotels I've stayed in at other ski towns. Management was very helpful when I needed anything extra. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I could hear the people walking above me. Not a deal breaker because they weren't that loud. Could be for someone who really enjoys their peace and quiet. Would definitely stay here again in the future. read more
