Breakfast protein bowl with steak

We had an excellent stay at Gravity Haus. The restaurant is great and the coffee shop in the lobby is very convenient. The rooms are great and the lobby is beautiful. Thus hotel is located in the perfect spot near the ski slopes. The lockers for your ski gear is so helpful and located on the way to skiing.

Loaded bar and snacks, and oxygen tanks!!!

Location wise it was perfect. Once we arrived we put our car in the valet parking and didn't need it until we departed. Everything was walking distance and mostly flat. So many choices of restaurants, bars, shopping nearby. The hotel itself appears to be somewhat trendy for athletic types. Our king room was pretty spacious. The bathroom had a sliding barn door which was a little noisy to slide. The bed was comfortable and warm. We had nice views of the Blue River, hills and main street. We tried the coffee shop and restaurant inside the hotel. It was ok and pricey, but most everything in Breck is that way. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The only negative is our neighbor left their dog unattended in the room and it barked nonstop. I called front desk to complain and they called the owner who came to get the dog. Other reviews said the walls were thin. I didn't think so except if there's a loud dog. Love the 100% blackout blinds. We saw the gym and ski locker rooms. High end.

We stopped in to have breakfast with friends who were staying here for their wedding. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the French toast. Our server was super kind and she was on it! Giving four stars because the host and a couple other employees were pretty rude.

We just got done with a hike and stopped in here. We are all drinking the Aurum spice latte. It's delicious. It's so warm and cozy here! Awesome coffee shop.

Gravity Haus Hotel, Breckenridge We were so disappointed with so many things in this hotel. I'll start with our check in when they offered us only ONE free beer in their hotel restaurant, which was scheduled to close the next day and was never expressed to us in advance. We went to the hotel restaurant for the ONE free beer they informed us they were out and offered Thom coffee. I order a Grey Goose martini they were out of Grey Goose. We ordered a charcuterie board, wait for it, they were out. That was our first night. As far as our room goes we had the smallest toilet known to mankind, the bath tub was in very poor condition with the finish scraped away, the shower towels were frayed around the edges and so over-bleached that they felt like sand paper, one chair in the sitting area was missing a foot so Thom fell over spilling his coffee, the blackout shades were frayed and wouldn't open all the way, and the headboard was falling apart. The hotel sent us an email our first morning asking about our stay so far so we told them and NEVER hear back. We couldn't wait to leave. After our stay they sent Thom an email asking about our stay so once again we told them about our stay. Crickets!!

Given the Gravity Haus literally opened last month, I don't think it the other reviews are totally fair. Every business is going to have some kinks to work out in the first few months they are open so that's on you if you made a reservation opening week and expect a flawless experience. That being said, there are definitely some misses that can be improved upon an otherwise pleasant stay. We were able to snag a last-minute deal on HotelsTonight.com and saved some money on the list price. The parking fee is $35 but we were expecting this and honestly it was great. They valet the car, bring your luggage to your room, and repack your car when you're leaving which made check in and checkout hassle free. The lobby and main floor are gorgeous with modern/rustic touches like chairlift seating and a massive fireplace. The free cocoa and drink vouchers are a nice touch. Our room was cozy and comfortable with some eco-friendly additions like reusable cups and mugs that you can purchase should you want a souvenir. We didn't have any issues with exterior or interior noise as some people have mentioned but I will agree that the sliding barn door to the bathroom is quite awkward. If you are sitting on the bed, you get a direct view to the toilet. Even making these doors a little bigger would solve this issue. The spa area was nice with big garage doors that could open- I wish they were open when we were there! The restaurant and bar and lounge areas are all great. The restaurant and bar has lots of space and a funky ski house vibe. Staff was friendly, and the food was quite good. Maybe a little pricey, but honestly worth not having to trek outside for a good meal. Overall, for being open a month and a half, I was pleasantly surprised. If I had paid full price I would have been a little more disappointed, but that's why it pays to be a bargain hunter! A few fixes and improvements needed but I see definite potential in Gravity Haus!

Outdoor locker storage for ski gear

Location is everything when it comes to staying at a place like this! Overall impressive when it comes to the vibe and sense of vacation. However I will list the pros/cons: Pros: Location with ski in/out access Location to rentals, downtown, restaurants, shopping Restaurant on site Storage for your gear Gym and amenities like hot tubs and trampoline Exclusive perks of a member Self service Laundry available on site for a fee (cost me a total of about $8 to do one load wash/dry) Cons: You constantly feel like you're getting ripped off since you aren't a "member" Due to coronavirus, housekeeping does not enter your room for the duration of your stay (in the past with other hotels, they usually offer a change of your linen once during the stay) / this was disappointing since we spent six days here. Despite clean sheets, it seemed as though the comforter was not washed between guests with stains/food/who knows on it. I asked for new linen and was only provided sheets. Leftovers from a restaurant were left in the fridge. The hot tubs. We got in a hot tub one night and persistently could not get rid of a body odor smell. It was on our towels and clothing and we at first just thought that, despite having showered, that it was a rank day on the slopes. No. We went back to the hot tub the second night and realized that it was the water in the tub. We were mortified. The staff were around visibly testing chlorine and things like that, but the overall sense of hygiene was not there. We switched from the above ground tub to the inground tub and had a better experience but did not go back. And then there is parking which costs $35/night. Per the staff, public parking in the area costs $25/night. Later during our stay we found out that it was more like $15/night. So we feel a little duped. Also. If you are a light sleeper, beware that this hotel is very poorly insulated inside and you can hear literally everything, including if your neighbor has an ill behaved dog. They know this because there are ear plugs beside the bed. Anyways. The overall experience was good it was just these quirky things that I will not return.

From the start, It was a let-down for my husband in that of the only 3 tap beer options they had on the menu, they were out of 1 beer that my husband wanted. In any case, he ordered another beer, and I chose "Indian Summer" cocktail...which was good. I wasn't too hungry, so had Scallion Crab Cakes for my meal, and my husband tried the Shrimp Po Boy. Well, my crab cakes were quite good...but I was more impressed with my husband's Po Boy. Possibly THE best version of Po Boy I've ever seen and tasted! We also shared a Key Lime Pie...which was just OK. Still, the presentation for all 3 items were really nice. Service was OK at best. While fine in the beginning, the waitress somewhat disappeared halfway through? I even accidentally tagged down the Manager-Owner (thinking it was our waitress!). She did touch base near the very end. Overall, I thought the foods were quite good...but the overall dining experience was just OK. Somehow, I didn't like the ambiance or the service at all.

It is on the pricier end but the quality is worth it in my opinion. We started with the stone crab claws which were tasty. I wish the butter was warmed. Next up was the ceviche which was also good and not too fishy tasting. The chips were thick and had a decent amount of salt on it (which I like). There were some plantain chips which was a nice touch. We also got some warm olives. The baked oysters were briny and cheesy. The salmon was the main entree we shared and the fish was incredibly fresh. The quinoa and cherry tomatoes along with the fresh micro greens went well together. There was also a sauce garnish that reminded me of a chimichurri. Overall we had a great dining experience here and would return during our next trip to Breckenridge.

I wasn't sure I was in the right place! : ) The front desk staff is very kind. You see the Marriott training at work. The garage -- while I'm sure an excellent thing to have when the snow is falling -- is pretty small...and parking a larger car is a challenge. I stayed in a studio, which has a small kitchen (see pic). It's pretty small. The shower was odd: hot water for about three minutes, followed by 90 seconds of ice cold water. That cycle would keep repeating until you wave the white flag. LOL The heat works well, but see the photo of how the room gets heated -- my son (when we he was young) would absolutely have wanted to touch it! Valdoro Mountain Lodge is a mixed experience for me overall, I'd rate it 2.5-3 stars…read more We stayed here during New Year's week. The location is definitely a plus it's close to town, walkable to shops and restaurants, and near the slopes, which makes it convenient if you're planning a ski trip. The property is also part of the Hilton Grand Vacations portfolio, and they offer self-parking, which I believe is complimentary. That said, the property itself feels pretty outdated. While I believe some of the rooms have been renovated, the overall facilities, lobby, gym, spa, and general décor could really use a refresh. The front desk area in particular felt a bit drab and not very welcoming. Check-in was just okay. We are Hilton owners (though not at this specific property), and while I understand priority may go to owners here, it was a little disappointing that we couldn't get a better room especially since the property didn't seem very full at the time. Our two-bedroom unit itself was decent. The showers had great water pressure, which I appreciated, but the bedding could use improvement the pillows were too soft for my liking. The bathroom overall was fine, although I personally didn't feel comfortable using the bathtub as it didn't seem as clean as I would've liked. I did like the fireplace in the room which came in handy and the balcony was nice. One downside is that housekeeping isn't automatically included you need to meet a certain stay threshold, which wasn't ideal. The amenities were underwhelming. The gym was very small and not well-equipped. The spa didn't really feel like a spa, and when I tried to use the steam room, it wasn't even on. There are multiple jacuzzis, but one wasn't working during our visit, so I had to move to another and share, which wasn't ideal. They do offer complimentary coffee and hot cocoa in the lobby, but it's only available for a short window and is more of a self-serve packet setup, which we did not like and didn't use. The biggest issue for me was the lack of follow-up from staff. After checkout, I realized I had left behind a small bag of items in the room. I called multiple times and was told each time that someone would follow up with housekeeping and call me back but I never received a call. When I finally reached someone again, I was told the items couldn't be found. The lack of communication and follow-through left a bad impression. Overall, while the location is great and the rooms are decent, the outdated facilities, inconsistent service, and lack of follow-up make it hard for me to return.

I found fireside online and it was by far the most affordable option in Breckenridge for a single night so I went for it in a two person dorm, and luckily I happened to be the only one in that room that night! Finding the place was also very easy, they provide very clear instructions and there is plenty of parking at the church across the street (just mind their specific parking instructions and you won't have any trouble). Re: the interior: it's actually a very large place with two full baths and one half bath. I never even saw/heard another guest when I came but again it was late. The vibe was that it was a very comfy, chill place - they have soothing music playing over by the office door where the coffee/tea machines are, and there is a small kitchen and living room area. They had a real fire going in the living room area and there were games and books and lots of "things to do" brochures around, so truly it felt like being in a cozy cabin. I genuinely really loved that vibe. Not to mention it's quite close to the main road - you could easily walk but because it was raining heavily the night I came, I did drive all of 3 minutes to avoid walking 15 in the rain to the bar on Main Street I wanted to go to. They also sent me a text when i came in case i had questions, so they are available to help you. Overall - if you're coming and staying here for just a night or two and all you need is a bed/shower/safe space, this place is GREAT. My friend brought me here, saying, if I'm going to try any hostel, anywhere in the world, it should be here or his other favorite - in Wales. It is a gorgeous autumn in Colorado, so Breckinridge it is. How incredibly fortunate for me that my first hostel was here. I'm constantly reminded that not every hostel is so nice. What a lovely place. Well appointed, so clean - which is all important in this pandemic time. Everyone is friendly. We stayed in a 6-bunk room with a total 4 ppl in it. The less agile (that'd be me) was lucky to get a lower bunk (not sure how that works, we lucked out that not all the berths were full!) The other two ppl were solo travelers, one from South America, the other from Russia. They were friendly and polite. We all did our own thing; I crashed out early, so I wasn't bothered at all that another guest had to pack luggage for an early flight out the next day. There are outlets at each bunk, even USB chargers And a lamp which was a necessity when hvg to walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I thought the room was comfortable; temps got down into the 30's overnight but I was comfortably cozy in my bed with its duvet; there were extra blankets in the closet if needed. My friend thought it too warm but he runs that way, but he slept thru the night fine too. A word about the bedding: mine was fine, clean, smelled clean. But one of the other bunks had yellowed bedding - with stains. I presume it was washed and cleaned just looked used, and if you got there in daylight or with all the lights on, one would hv seen it, but I didn't till the next morning when we were getting ready to leave and that might've bn off putting. I came down early, just before sunrise The general areas were at a comfortable temp. Wasn't time yet for breakfast, but some kind soul had already started the coffee. I went for a walk, took some pix, came back once guests had started to straggle in. What a friendly, informative bunch! My friend tells me that's most hostel-goers. And the food was pretty good, pancakes, eggs, cereal; I got the oatmeal and an English muffin. The coffee smelled really good. And I was so happy they had powdered hot chocolate too! Special mention must be made of Belage (sorry, may hv misspelled) but he is a welcoming, knowledgeable host and made us feel at home. If you come here, please contribute positively. I worry that the wrong sort would detract from such a lovely accommodation and experience. And yeah, I'll hv to keep in mind that almost certainly other hostels aren't like this, but it is now my gold standard.

We stayed several nights here in February, and I had some mixed feelings about this hotel…read more Good things first. This is a nice Hilton hotel...and our room looked stellar (can't believe I didn't take pictures of the room!). It was very modern, and possibly twice the size of a typical Courtyard Marriott room...very spacious! Also, the view from our room was awesome. We had direct view of the mountain and the ski lifts...and my husband simply had to walk across the street to ski each day (I don't ski). That said, there were MANY things that were just off. For starters, the room temperature was rather hot...so much so that I had a hard time sleeping! Their thermostat wouldn't go lower than 68, for one. You'd think that in a snowy winter, the rooms would be cool...but not really. It was warm...especially at nights. Also, the showerhead was very weak, and there was no coffee machine...but instead, an espresso machine. Otherwise, the room and bath amenities were really good. Maid service was terrible! On the day we took off the "Do Not Disturb " sign (meaning, YES we want service!), it was so difficult to get service at the right time. The room attendants knocked on the door 2 times in the morning...even AFTER I told them to come clean the room after 11:30 am! Then, when we returned to the room at around 4 pm, the room wasn't even cleaned. I had to request room service then AGAIN...and had to wait out in their lobby area. When I returned to the room, there were scattered mess (pieces of paper??) on the floor that they didn't pick up! Their complimentary shuttle service was totally unreliable! When I was out and about in Breckenridge, I gave up on waiting on their shuttle. Just did NOT arrive every 20 minutes as indicated! I basically gave up on their shuttle service after Day 1. On Wednesday night (2/11th), we had a dinner reservation at 5:45 pm...so we came down to wait for the shuttle 30 minutes prior. The driver didn't show up until 6 pm!! Then the driver went inside the hotel (bathroom break?!?) for another 10 minutes! We nearly missed our dinner...luckily, we called and they agreed to wait for us. Also, hate to say it, but this bus driver had a horrible BO. Topping all this off, he dropped us off at the wrong stop...seemingly purposefully. OMFG!!! Even their valet service was unreliable. On the day we were headed to Vail, one of the valet attendant forgot to put my husband's ski gear in our rented car...so we had to drive back to get it. It costed us at least 1 hour of our day in Vail. We were furious!!! Then the added fees-charges. They charge you $50 per day for valet parking (no regular parking)! We found this very offputting. Then, on top of this, they charged you $60 resort fee per day!! As nice as this hotel was, there were just way too many things wrong! I'm still thinking about calling the Manager to get a partial refund (at the very least) for our overpriced valet/resort fees...given how unhospital their services were! In short, I do NOT recommend this place! Surely, there are better hotels/resorts with more reliable services in Breckenridge.
