Wonderful food truck on woodhaven blvd. Whenever i am in the area i make a stop or even if i have a…read morecraving i would make it a destination stop. The go to here is the Italian sausage and pepers. Fresh, flavorful, and grilled to order. Has a great char and the peppers and onions are all cooked on the spot. My go to is the spicey sausage with onions and peppers with hot sauce and bbq. Nice hero bread that is soft to soak up all the juices and matches well with with the sausage that makes a great meal. Other good items here are the meatball hero or the chicken meatball helo. You can tell it's home made and full of flavor. You can get it either with marinara sauce or the ala vodka sauce. My go to would be the meatball hero with ala vodka hero. Friendly and good service and family owned. It's a great place to get a bite to eat and will be definitely back.

If you really want to know the truth, food trucks are usually full of blasted tattooed arms and…read morepiercings trying to sell you some trendy garbage for twenty bucks just because they put a fancy little flag on the napkin and have LED lit menu boards. But D'Angelo's on Woodhaven Boulevard isn't trying to pull any of that grand stuff. It's just an old-school sausage rig parked on the side of the road, smelling like sizzled grease and charred peppers that hit ya even before you even get close to the window. I ordered an Italian sausage hero loaded up with peppers and onions. I'm not even kidding, the thing was massive, wrapped in foil like a giant, heavy beautiful brick. The sausage itself had a good, snappy casing and plenty of flavor, and the onions were sweet and greasy in that way that tastes great while you're eating it, but makes you feel kind of depressed about thirty minutes later when you're just sitting around thinking about your life and blew off the gym. The bread was decent a little chewy, but it held the whole sloppy mess together without completely collapsing in your hands. The guy working the window wasn't trying to be your best friend or give you some big phony smile, which I actually appreciated. He just handed over the brown paper bag, took the money, and moved on to the next guy. It's not the kind of meal that makes you want to write a poem, but it fills you up with foodie happiness when you're wandering around feeling miserable and hungry. Three stars is a little low, four might be more appropriate.

Spectaculoos!…read more Spectacular should be spelled Spectaculoos from now on. It just feels cooler to have the "oooos" enunciation at the end doesn't it? This Sunday only Wafel and Dinges truck is just way to dangerous. They should limit you to one of these because it's just way to hard choose just one option. Perhaps the Sunday only option is their way to protect us from those of us with no self control. If that is the case, good thinking W & D! As far as the Wafels, is there anything that Spekuloos (my current sweet addiction) or Nutella is spread on that doesn't taste awesome? Is there anything that fresh cut strawberries and whipped cream can't elevate? Who doesn't like a freshly made, still warm, slightly crunchy Belgium Wafel? You'll want to enjoy promptly right after you get your order it is most delicious the second you get it. Don't wait! The truck has all required utensils right there for you and the box is built in a way that makes it conducive to eat by sliding the Wafel to the edge to bite. However you're on your own to find seating to enjoy which can be somewhat of a challenge in some neighborhoods, where this truck parks including this one. Pro tip: head to the nearby MacDonald park nearby. One final thought, for those diabetics out there, just keep walking, there isn't anything here for you to eat,....

Oh wow. I haven't…read morehad a yummy waffle in a while and perhaps that's why I'm so in love right now- but there's no denying that they offer a darn tasty treat. I got the "Brussels Wafel" which is basically a rectangular waffle and got unlimited topping for $2 - strawberries, banana, whipped cream, walnuts, and chocolate fudge. It was, in a word, divine. Check out their website or call their hotline to find out what the challenge is to get a free "dinges" - today was to pretend that you were sleepwalking! FYI- Dinges are the toppings! There's also wafels with meat toppings like BBQ Pulled Pork or Bacon and Maple Syrup. I heard the hype from my little sister who always saves her money to get a wafel from the Manhattan truck. I'm really psyched there's one in Forest Hills now. I'm gonna have to pace myself!

I've been coming here every now and then for about a year and finally am getting around to writing…read morea review about it. I've been a huge fan of their burritos the whole time; the chorizo, the spicy chicken, the vegetarian, all great. Not a big fan of the salty beef but I didn't hate it. Furthermore, the portion size of the burrito is downright huge, crammed full of rice, meat, and a decent helping of avocado, yielding a great bang for the buck. I'm a 6'6" (198 cm) tall male and the burrito leaves me absolutely stuffed. However, having had the huarache, I can safely say that unless you have a craving for fried masa dough, I wouldn't bother with it. It did not taste bad or anything, and it certainly was heavy on the avocado, but it was 50, maybe 60% the size of the burrito. I am quite disappointed and won't be getting it again. I've never been shortchanged or on the receiving end of what I felt to be rude behavior here, for what that is worth. I order, wait a few minutes, pay, and am on my way. If they stopped cooking my food and started on someone else's food, I would straight up ask "Why did you do that?" and if I got some shitty or non-committal answer, I would walk off, let them eat the cost of the food, and never come back. I suggest others do this from now on.
