Im writing on behalf of my mother who was yelled at and ridiculed by employees of this facility. You guys were laughing at her too. Who ever the lady was...yelled at my mother in the parking lot for literally nothing. First of all she wasn't taking a picture of ANYTHING. Is that quality customer service? Heck No! Although, the one who deserves 5 stars is the kind employee who helped my mother inside. Thank you for your help. I had Breakers Stereo replace the failed stock CD/AM/FM/Bluetooth device in my Mazda CX-5. The staff was friendly. But, I have to say one of the more disappointing experiences. I was stuck there all day having to listen to loud music that was not to my liking. They are in desperate need of a quiet comfortable customer lounge. I had to sit in the parking lot. I suggest you plan on dropping off your car if you can. They charged $350 for a wiring harness which you can get from Crutchfield for $99. I believe they sold me a refurbished Alpine W970HD as the clock runs fast, the CD player cannot read info on store bought music CD's, you can't go to the previous track, and it doesn't remember the last track played. They failed to record the serial# so I'm not sure how I'm going to register it. read more

Made an appointment for shocks to be installed on my truck to replace my lift kit. First appointment I showed up and found that the mechanic that was to work on my truck did not show up. Needless to say I came all the way from Simi Valley for nothing. Ok now to the 2nd appointment. The objective was to install the Bilstein adjustable shocks to replace my lift kit. Well the lift kit was left on the truck and the Bilstein struts was installed. If I knew this was going to be the case I could have have just got normal struts and not the more expensive struts to go with my lift kit. I was quoted it would 5 hrs of labor. The mechanic maybe spent 3 hours as he did not remove the lift kit. I then questioned the 5 hrs of labor and was looking to get a credit for 2 hrs of labor and the owner indicated he miss quoted the labor amount and the 3 hrs of work would come out to the same as 5hrs quoted. Needless to say, this is my last time going to this place. I have had several other things done on my truck there and had to return a couple times to get things corrected. I'm done with Breakers. read more

There customer service is absolutely horrible. As soon as I had walked in to ask a question the guy looked supper irritated already like me asking a question about what I wanted done to my car was cutting into what we was doing (which was nothing) I litterley was there for a good 2 minutes before I walked out. Dont go here place sucks i got à alarm installed and it work horrible to unlock one door you have to press the unlock button like 5 times then to unlock the rest of the doors you have to press the trunk release button multiple times and sometimes it Dosnt work and on top of that it took them like 7 hours to inproperly install it witch they said it would only take 4 hours Then also i paid for a feutre to roll Down the Windows and then at the End i got charged for it and they told me to go back next week to see if they could install that Stay away From this place they dont know what there doing read more

Living in Oxnard your choices are sometimes limited. This being the case I was looking to upgrade my existing car stereo system without breaking the bank. I wasn't looking to enter a car show or rattle the windows of my neighbors as I cruised down the street. I decided to check out Breakers on the BLVD. I had did some businness way back in the day when they were located in South Oxnard and they had really did some quality work for me. However, after going in for an estimate I was forced to take my business else where. The quote was so over the top I just had to laugh. I gave the crew there the ooppertunity to give ME the customer what I wanted instead of what they wanted to push. Needless to say I did not give them my business and went to Muntz Stereo In Ventura. They may be Old School but they know how to satisfy the customer without sucking my wallet dry. Sorry Breakers (Josh). The OG's beat you out this time around. I will add this though. Great customer service, they answered all my additional questions, especially from one of their employees, Jahsmine. I got a great deal, went in expecting to have to pay extravagant prices but they cut me a good deal for both. The shop was very clean and organized, which I was glad about considering COVID regulations. My car definitely sounds a lot better and my windows look amazing after all was done. Josh and his team are amazing! They treated me with the upmost respect. They upgraded my sound system and the installation is seamless, everything was put back exactly as it was. When originally purchased, I decided against the custom box. However, 2 days later I changed my mind. Josh told me to come in for measurements. And that he would be able to have the box done in a couple of weeks. To my surprise when I picked up my car he had the new customer box already installed. Also My tint is perfect. There are no bubbles and its not purple. Its exactly as I imagined. I have a few more upgrades that im wanting to get done on the car. And I will definitely be back. read more

Fist a did a mod on my exhaust pipe I was super happy with how it turned out then Bought rims and tires for my Honda Civic, the stuff came in quick and within a few days I had my car just how I wanted it. I was referred to Breakers back in '09 by the police here as a very reliable auto alarm installation company. I had them install at least 2 alarm systems in each of 3 vehicles. The last 2 even included 2 cameras in each of 2 vehicles. I have spent thousands with Breakers. Now, my alarm remote broke & my alarm system will not disarm so I can't start my only remaining vehicle. I've waited 3 days as they say, they only take appointments now. So I made an appointment & had AAA tow me over 2 towns to get here. They would not give me any other time for an appointment except 12 noon which I got here with the help of AAA who rushed me over. I'm in my 70's disabled, & been bed ridden for almost all year & just got off 5 antibiotics per day & am quite weak & ill still. Now they tell me I have to sit in the hot sun in my vehicle 4 HOURS!!! until their technician repairs 2 other vehicles. I have no food or water & there is no food store anywhere in site. I CANNOT BELIEVE how badly they are treating me. I basically begged for a later appointment, but the liars told me they had nothing else available!!! These people are pathetic!!!! I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!!! So - - at 4:20 pm they saunter over to my vehicle & it takes them all of 3 MINUTES!!! to make the repair that disarms my alarm so that I can drive it. The one man was telling me very loudly that all vehicles have to be dropped off at 9 AM & they have to stay on the lot until they can get to them. Then the lady that made 2 separate appointments for me, plus would not allow me to come on a Thursday as AAA tow truck had been ordered for me all the way from a city up north, saying I had no appointment. One appointment I had to cancel because a repair technician showed up at my home for repairs I'd been waiting 2 weeks for, so I canceled the first appointment, & she said I could make an appointment for the next day. I asked multiple times if I could come later in the day, but she said no. An appointment is just that!!! A time when you are scheduled for having a repair!!! Then she chimes in with the man saying, yeh, she told me I had to be there at 9 am & leave my vehicle all day. So I point blank told her, "You are not telling the Truth!!" She shut up then. I said to the guy who was trying to make out like I didn't have an appointment, who fixed my vehicle in 3 minutes!! Well why could the technician who helped you not have taken a bathroom break & taken a look at my vehicle & told you what to do!?!? He didn't have any answer except to reiterate that I was supposed to be there at. 9AM!!! read more

Josh was incredibly nice as were all the service staff. But that may be where the positives stop. A job that was promised to be done in 2.5 hours took over four hours the first day and four more hours on a second day. I had to call and get someone to cover me at my job so I wouldn't be in trouble for being late. Then things kept popping up that cost more. The last was $60.00 charge for an adapter. But for me the final straw to get me to write the review was when I went to pick up the finished car and the guy showing me the finished cable said, "It's a little loose but it's working so let me go ahead and show you how it all works". I am headed on a 8 day driving vacation and if it quits working during that time, because of a "loose cable" I'll be back to take this review even lower. read more

You think they are going to say, "oh yes i remember helping this old man and confusing i mean convinced him to get something he doesn't need." Regardless, this happened and its not right. *****update****** Elder abuse! Convinced my father to purchase a car sound system that sounds worse than the original one the car came with convinced him to get a car alarm that he did not need all for over $700. That day i saw him and have never seen my father so confused. Thats not it, went to his car because he said the rep added his cell phone to the Bluetooth, mind you he has a flip phone that we attempted to connect multiple times with no success. He said the rep was able to connect it. Went to his car and asked to list Bluetooth names, i could not believe what i heard. Such a disgrace. Currently i am investigating how to proceed. read more

As I walked in to breakers stereo shop, I was immediately greeted by Mason who asked how he could help me. I could see another employee engaging with the customer who had a smile on her face as that employee was explaining a speaker system to her in detail. I told Mason that I was looking to get my Cadillac's windows tinted, to which he immediately showed me the types of window tinting as well as the different shades and how they would be conducive to my Cadillac's overall needs. I made an appointment to come back as it was later in the day. I returned a week later as I was driving from Stockton California in 360 mile drive to meet up with Dano. I told Dano to take special care of my car, he told me no problem, that he's been doing this type of work for years, and my car was left in good hands. I named my car "Leia", to which made him chuckle, and say his wife also had the tendency to name their cars. When I returned a few hours later to get my Leia, I saw a totally different look about her; she looked sleek, sexy, and more mysterious. It made me feel like a total "Queen" as I drove off their lot. I would definitely recommend BREAKERS STEREO SHOP for any of your automotive needs, and if you have your windows tinted, make sure DANO is on the job,... as he is a perfectionist!!!! read more

By far the best place in town to get your car/ truck hooked up. I've been bringing my F350 here since the day I bought it. I've had HID headlights installed, HID fog lights, Kenwood radio face, Memphis speaker system with subs, and recently added a 54" light bar. Josh and his staff are the best at what they do. Couldn't be happier and they get things done right. The prices are reasonable and it's definitely worth the money and the look. Haven't had a single complaint.
