Stopped into break rock for a couple beers on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and were very happy with our decision. Location is perfect! There's a few restaurants at the marina but nothing like this. Multiple TVs were playing the patriots which was a bonus despite their less than stellar performance. There was plenty of parking behind the brewery, which in Boston is a huge plus. Taproom was beautiful, clean and the vibe was right for the location. The beer tender I had was the friendliest I've ever encountered and I've been to quite a few breweries over the years. He really made the experience even better. Shame on me for not catching his name. The beer was good, but nothing out of this world. Had a few ipas, a dipa, and a marzen and they were all quite palatable. I wouldn't hesitate to visit any time I'm in Quincy and want to grab a few brews.

Let's start by saying I LOVE THIS PLACE! Great location! Great atmosphere! Great scenery! Great staff! And most of all Great Beer!! Someone recommend checking out the Marina Bay area so I came on a Thursday night. After walking around enjoying the scenery of the bay, I decided to stop at this brewery for a beer. Since they give free samples to see what you like, I decided on the Golden Goose NEIPA which was delicious. Brewed in-house, these beers are fresh and potent. Honestly, one of the best beers I've had. Highly highly highly recommend! I'll be coming again. Come here, sit outside and enjoy their amazing beers.

The excellent views along with live music and food vendors on the weekends during the summer make this a 5 star. Dog friendly is an extra bonus

I was fortunate enough to try their beer a few years ago when they started dialing in their recipes and it was absolutely delicious. Thanks to COVID and supply chain madness, I have been waiting awhile for this place to open. But GODDAM was it worth it. The beer is top-notch, and their spot is absolutely awesome. I am not someone who "notices" "things" but they must have hired a team of beer-drinking designers to draw this place up. It's efficient. It's pretty. It has function. It has form. AND IT IS ON THE GODDAM WATER. I can't wait to see what this place will be like once it gets warmer. Went twice (don't judge.) First time was with the guys. Got a big table with easy access to the bar. Their stout is amazing, particularly if you like drier stouts. Then I came with the wife and we sat a bit away from the crowd. Sampled a few things but decided A Tip of the Cap (their pale ale) is incredible and is probably my go-to going forward. I think it's going to be in their regular rotation, according to one of the owner/brewers who was super friendly. These aren't some rich kids playing with mommy and daddy's money. Two world-class, pedigreed brewers who have created this place from the bottom-up. BRB LFG!!!

I literally felt happiness in my heart being here. They were so nice and a huge plus is that they allow dogs! The beer was really good. I tried both of the seltzers and I hated one and loved the other. We got a 4 pack of the miserlou to bring home and the next day those were even better!

We hosted our sons graduation party there this Saturday night... The staff couldn't have been more wonderful! Up until the event they were always checking on us making sure we were all set with food and the singer, I hired, etc.... The day of the party they were unbelievably helpful! The venue was wonderful all reserved for us! They gave us anything we needed and asked for! All the people that attended the party, said they would definitely come back! And without saying the beer was amazing!!!

We anxiously awaited the opening of this brewery and are thrilled to have it in Quincy. Atmosphere is fun, and the brewery is spacious and cool. The setting is beautiful on the marina. Love all the dogs coming in and live music events. The beer is great. Opening Salvo is our favorite.

After moving out of Boston,…read moreI was looking for some local breweries to replace my favorites in the city, and am happy to say Vitamin Sea is helping fill the void. The brewery itself is spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and your typical funky, industrial tap room feel. There's often really good food trucks, pop-up coffee stands, live music, trivia nights--you name it. You can also grab cans to-go, peruse their merch selection, and bring your pup along (at least if you're sitting outside, not sure about the tap room). Barrel House Z is also right nextdoor, so if you want to brewery hop a bit, that's an option too. The beers themself also don't disappoint. My husband and I are definitely hazy IPA people, and have found something we love each time we visit. If you're not into that though, your options are definitely more limited. They do always have at least one seltzer and mocktail on the menu if either of those are more your speed. Both the staff and patrons here are so nice, it definitely has a community feel to it. I'm quickly on my way to becoming a regular, and wouldn't have it any other way!

No matter, I can say for sure it was great! This one was refreshing, summery, citrusy, and while sweet, not overwhelmingly so. Something I would 10/10 get again, and need to get my tail end over here before it rotates out! I also have a light fascination with blue food - it seems like it shouldn't exist, but I digress. As for their other offerings, I feel that they have an okay selection. Some seltzers, stouts, sours, and non-alcoholic options were all available. However, the menu was also IPA heavy, and while I appreciate that I may be in the minority, I am not an IPA fan. Though, perhaps that may change in the future with Vitamin Sea's help. The staff have been nothing but kind and welcoming. While typical of places like this, the ability to try samples doesn't go unnoticed. Finally, the vibe is open, hip, and communal. There are lots of picnic style tables, and card/board game available to borrow. Thus, a terrific brewery to spend a weekend afternoon or evening at. The place is open to families and friend groups, and food trucks are here often. Lots to try and enjoy; especially for IPA lovers. Brewery fans will also appreciate another favorite: Barrel House Z throwing distance away.

The day I went there was a band playing and there was special ticketed event that forced us to leave (no big deal as we had more than enough time). The space is huge, however compartmentalized, and there's plenty of outdoor seating. Because of its warehouse size and no sound proofing when the band was playing it was incredibly loud with tons of reverberation. The mezzanine is adults only which is helpful as it's right next door to an indoor sports facility and there is no shortage of kids here. Pizza was decent, cooked correctly and really hit the spot after a couple of beers. They utilize an "order at the bar and get a text when your food is ready" system. You then go up to the open air kitchen area and get your food. The beers are serviceable by today's standards with the porter being my favorite. The lagers were also pretty good. Like most folks on Yelp I was surprised by the mandatory 20% gratuity (almost $2 per beer). As someone that ordinarily tips 20-25% in a sit down restaurant I'm a little confused as to how in a place where you order at the counter, pick up your own food and bus your own table the 20% is earned? These situations usually get 10% gratuity from me since I'm doing more than 50% of the work.
