    Bread pudding

Great brunch place with excellent food and good service. This place ended up being one of my favorite meals we had while visiting the islands and will definitely be back next time we're visiting. Everything we got was excellent and like others mention you definitely have to get the bread pudding. Serving size were very generous so bring your appetite or be ready for some leftovers.

A solid breakfast option! We tried the banana pancakes, fried rice, and the eggs Benedict with pork belly, and everything was really good. I do wish the ambiance felt a little more local and less aesthetic/Instagram-focused, but overall it's a nice place with good food and a good option for breakfast.

    Pigs in a Blanket omelet

Really Great Spot for breakfast. They have lunch items as well. I had the Pigs in a Blanket omelet. A perfectly cooked omelette filled with cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, Portuguese sausage and ham. It was really good. But the fried shredded potatoes were amazing. A large portion of potatoes cooked to a crispy brown. So good. The French press coffee was really good. Service was excellent! Haiden was our server. He was friendly and very efficient. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent lot. I would highly recommend checking this spot out!!!

    Green chile hash

Brunch here was absolutely awesome! I asked our server for a recommendation, and he suggested his favorite dish, the green chile hash. Let's just say it did not disappoint--it was fantastic. My wife ordered the lilikoi pancakes, and she absolutely loved them. I stole a few bites, and they were incredible too. We mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary, and our server surprised us by comping my wife's coffee, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really appreciated. He was an outstanding server and made the experience even better. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was great. Easily a 10/10 experience, and we'll definitely be back!

I had always heard about Break+Feast, and that it was related to Kiawe Roots (used to be next to Lawai 7-11). For some reason Break+Feast had eluded me due to not visiting the new mall area called Koloa Village https://www.koloavillage.com/the-village Finally, after many people had recommended this spot, and after getting a GC for my birthday, we made our way there. Firstly, it is very busy. My husband and I did have to wait a bit, but the staff was super nice. (As you can see if you go to their website, a res is recommended https://www.breakandfeast.com/reservations The wait staff seamed a bit thin and overwhelmed, although they still maintained a positive appearance. The food is very fresh, and creative. My favorites: The Curry Vegetable Scramble - with tofu * I am a bit confused as the Break+Feast website says their hours are: Monday 9am-1pm, Tuesday-Saturday 7am-1:30pm On the Koloa Village website it says Tuesday-Saturday 7:30am-2pm and Sunday and Monday closed. This is a frustrating thing about Kauai- weird hours. **The food was so good we bought GC's for our church staff for Christmas TY Dr. Val

Food: The food was delish. I had the loco moco and the gravy was just SO good. The portions were filling but not too excessive. My wife and daughter also had the loco moco and they loved it. My little one had the mac n cheese and she too loved her dish. Service: Service was great and staff were very polite and welcoming. Ambiance: Had a great laid back and welcoming feeling. Overall, I would def come back when we visit Kaua'i which is typically an annual trip for us.

I want to give this a 4.5 ... mostly to knock the 0.5 stars off for not having drip coffee - only having french press. I had read amazing reviews about this place and was a little shocked to see it mostly empty when we stopped by around 10am on a Thursday. That being said, flavors were on point. Side of Portuguese sausage - clearly made to order and delicious. Veggie curry omelette was interesting and delicious - make sure to add salsa verde! Hubs had the pork hash and banana pancake.

I think I'd give it a 4.5 stars if I could. Some things were great and some things were just good. The place is cute, but busy! We were a party of 2 and we showed up around 7:30-8 on a weekday and they only had like 3 tables open because there were just so many reservations. We got the side of sausage (4/5, nothing special), side of focaccia (5/5 great!), green chile (4/5), lilikoi pancakes (5/5).

Pancakes are a wow! Mahi mahi is the best I've had on this island, better than the one resort restaurant! Nice air conditioning too. If you're a foodie you will love this place. Waitress was super sweet and overall just an excellent breakfast choice. Lots of gluten free options!

Avocado toast with all fixings on the side

Amazing food all around. We went somewhere that had a Loco Moco (in the same area) and it literally had no brown gravy. Luckily, Break + Feast redeemed that experience and more. Food was flavorful, well balanced, and just down right ono! We had the Loco Moco, Likikoi Pancakes, and my little had the avocado toast. Ambiance is beautiful and modern with amazing service.

Hands down, top 3 food places we enjoyed while vacationing in Kauai. Located in Koloa on the 2nd floor, is a very un-assuming breakfast joint offering Ono eats, and a decor you did not expect when walking through town. Inside is very modern and chic, with terracotta tables neutral colors of black and gold, and perfectly matching pendant lighting. We won't let the service get in the way of this review, because everyone is bound to have a bad day that unfortunately spills into your work life. I heard another table complain about our server, and it only confirmed that when they took our order, they were very short and dismissive... like we were doing them a disservice. I know that's not the norm, and we wont let that get in the way of an amazing meal. The food was amazing. Almost everything we got was top notch. If it sounds good on the menu? Get it. In particular the pork belly bowl. I would honestly get it Tinono style, because the sauce options are just drizzled on top. Or possibly ask for the sauce on the side. Everything else was very, very good, with exception to the Bibimbap Kalbi bow. Tasted way too average to warrant the price tag. This is one I would skip next time. Cocktails were delicious including the Bloody and the Lilikoi Marg. This is another one of those, must-stop-in places in Koloa!!

Break + Feast - Koloa, Kauai Recently visited the Garden Island of Kauai and found a restaurant I really enjoyed in the quaint town of Koloa, just north of Poipu. Located on the second floor of an open-air complex, Break + Feast is definitely worth seeking out. Make reservations if you can--it fills up quickly. We were lucky to get in early before the rush. Service runs on "island time," so don't expect mainland speed, but that's part of the experience. The modern decor gives the place a fresh, welcoming feel. As for the food--absolutely worth the wait. Everything we had was ono. The brisket benedict is a must-try. The brisket was tender and packed with flavor, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I also ordered the loco moco, which ranks as the second best I've had (with one spot in Maui still holding my top spot). The gravy and eggs here really stood out--rich, savory, and done just right.

My burger was just okay. It was advertised as a smash burger, but the patty didn't really have the crispy edges or texture I'd expect from one. On the other hand, my wife absolutely loved her fried chicken bowl and said it was packed with flavor. One of the highlights of our visit was the hospitality. We mentioned we were celebrating our honeymoon, and the owner (or who I believe was the owner) was incredibly friendly and even let us pick out a pastry to celebrate. That thoughtful gesture really made our visit memorable. Great service, good drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere made for an enjoyable experience overall.

For a place called Living Foods you would expect to see more foods that are actually "living" (i.e…read more plants). Sadly however, they only have one single bowl that is vegan and 2 appetizers (hummus and taro). No vegan entree, and not even a salad that wouldn't require changes to be vegan. Since the bowl has taro too, you can skip the taro appetizer and you're left with a hummus where you get charged for extra crispy bread. While the food quality was good, it was very bland and uninspiring. On top of it all, they add an extra 3% charge for using a credit card. Service was impecable and Renee really went above and beyond but unfortunately there was not much she could work with given the very poorly crafted menu.

They have a great selection of the local Kauai Brewing Company beers, another reason we want to try this place. We started we the pale ale and the Cook IPA. Cold, tasty and refreshing. We also tried the chicken IPA and Fonz IPA. All were great! Our favorite was the Cook IPA. The chicken wings had a nice heat level and were perfect accompanied by beer. The fish grilled tacos were fantastic. This will definitely be our go to place to watch a game and just a quick bite. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

The cocktails are quite large, so you can still get the $7 price if you order a soda or sparkling water as your second drink. The waitress was super helpful and let us know that last night! We went for taco Tuesday yesterday and the tacos were $1 each! They were good--not insane but great for the price and hit the spot.
