We've been wanting to try this place since we saw it in London so excited we saw there was one in Edinburgh. We waited by the bar and got a couple drinks - I got a mock tail of sorts that was lemon and refreshing. Once we got seated, we were greeted by a friendly waitress. There was a lunch special on the menu for an entree and dessert for £25 which is what I chose. I got the fish and chips. It was good! The mushy peas were seasoned nicely which I've had some places that just leave it pretty plain. The sticky toffee pudding was soooo good!!

Walked in at first but there was a 50 minute wait. Checked OpenTable for open spots and found one for 30 mins later, so we booked that. We ordered some cocktails and beer, which were pretty standard. The star of the show was the beef wellington! Be sure to order appetizers first as it takes 45 mins to prepare. We ordered bread and butter, which was good and cheap! The beef wellington was the perfect size for 2 people - not super filling but soooo satisfying. My favorite part was the truffle filling, and the doneness of the steak was perfect!

We arrived at 7:45 and were seated around 8:30 pm. The host was very kind and let us switch tables as their sanitation protocol was a bit lax and we had some discomfort regarding getting sick from the prior patrons (still a pandemic and lots of tourists); a blown nose at the table and no wipe down. Our waiter (she/her) was very sweet and professional. Upstairs was nice, most tables were empty at this time of night due to the presumed rush at 6/7 pm. (Still waiting for main course by 9:00 pm). Quiet ambience but nothing posh. Update: 9:30 pm and still waiting for the food Ordered the Mac and Cheese sides, the Aubergine main, and the Cider and Onion soup: Soup (starter): 8/10, frothy but flavorful, not thick like classic French onion soup. Mac and cheese (side): 6/10 (lukewarm, not very thick) Aubergine (entree): 6/10 (also lukewarm, good flavor) Overall: 5/10 Service: staff very kind, efficiency and experience terrible (and the restaurant wasn't at capacity at all) Food: this location is most likely not kept to the same standards as the ones in London. Would give an hour buffer to the time you actually want to eat.

Our server was outstanding. We started with an amazing cocktail. The flavors were delicious. Our appetizers were very good, although I didn't enjoy the chicken. The beef wellington was cooked perfectly. Very tender and flavorful. Potato and gravy was amazing. By dessert we were pretty full but the lava cake was delicious. A very good experience.

Wow wow wow. Don't know where to start. Gorgeous interior, very classy. Easy to make a reservation. Very friendly hostess. Drinks- 5 stars. Lady Regent and Absolut Royal were spectacular. Of course we had to get the Beef Wellington for 2. What an absolute treat. We both agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had. For dessert, freshly baked hot chocolate fondant and whisky cheesecake. Espresso martini was very strong but tasty. The After 9 cocktail was minty chocolate deliciousness. Everything we ate and drank was phenomenal. I also have to mention our server Maja. What a dear she was. So friendly, helpful with answering all our questions, checking on us frequently and just overall being amazing! And what a special surprise with a little extra dessert to wish us happy anniversary.

While the food was good, the wait was terrible. I guess I was expecting better service. Our drinks ( water) came out almost same time as our appetizer. Service is slow.

Food 5/5 Amazing food! Service/ wait time 2/5 The food here is absolutely delicious, everything we had was full of flavor and left us wanting more! The highlight on the appetizer platter is those wings - so much flavor and worth stopping by here just for a quick appetizer in passing. We ordered the beef Wellington experience which included a full meal of appetizers and dessert platters. The Wellington has a 45 minute wait time but is totally worth it. The wait for the Wellington wasn't the problem we had, it was the wait for everything else. It kind of felt like our server forgot about us throughout the night. It took 2:45 total for our dinner service which seemed a bit excessive for this type of restaurant. It was over 30 min wait to get our dessert platter after our main plates were cleared from the table, by that time we were about ready to ask for the dessert to be take away instead. If the food wasn't so good I would've rated this place lower but the food saved it. Maybe we just had a server who didn't have the service timing down right but this place is a must try.

Beef Wellington cooked perfectly. Perfect for two: or for one hungry boyfriend and a girlfriend who doesn't eat red meat.

I have always wanted to try a Gordon Ramsey restaurant and this place did not disappoint. We made reservation but arrived early so grabbed a drink at the bar first. I was blown away by the espresso martini and then was promptly seated at our exact reservation time. We decided to go with the beef Wellington for two and I am so glad we did. I actually don't eat beef so my boyfriend was able to have my portion; however, there was plenty of other food between the appetizers and desserts. A cool drink was also included so that was a nice surprise. For the appetizers, we got beef tar tar, tuna tar tar and chicken wings. The flavors were amazing! Then the main was the Wellington. My boyfriend said it was cooked perfectly and he was so glad he finally got to try it, and was more than happy to eat my half. I was able to eat the mashed potatoes, the little greens that came with it and some of the pastry from the welling. The desserts were so unique and the perfect was to round out the meal. 100% would recommend getting the beef Wellington experience. The atmosphere was very clean and hip feeling but not too over the top, but classy.

Really enjoyed my lunch here. Great ambiance and service. Had mushroom soup and spicy tuna tartare both were tasty. I did not have a main so can't comment on that. Recommend.

Very nice modern atmosphere. I came here as a solo traveler and was greeted and sat by friend staff. It did take a while for my waitress to acknowledge me about 15 mins of just sitting when she finally did come it was more of are you ready to order versus can I get you started with a beverage... I was super excited to try the Wellington it was 52pounds per person unfortunately per the waiter you cannot order this solo it's only for 2 people so essentially 104. I settled with the trout it definitely was visually pleasing however the fish it self was on the bland side. The sauce and the crushed potato was great. Anywho I'm sitting here at the restaurant still..waiting to pay it's been another 15 so far and it's not that busy lol. Oh well the experience was nice

Great food, modern and DELISH cocktails and ambiance. Service was relaxed but good. The view and location is amazing!

No need to get into why we went here but it was for a special occasion but Gordon Ramsey should be ashamed. First off I will say that the service was good. I will always give credit where credit is due. So I'll start off with the server. Our server(s) were very nice and attentive. When we got there the place was almost empty, yes a 5:30pm reservation. Ordered the bread and was repeatedly told that it would be out soon, it took forever. I did order the tuna sushi app which was really good. Another person ordered the steak tartare and (giving credit where credit is due) it was really good. Two of my friends ordered the beef wellington that looked and, they said, tasted really good. My other companion ordered a chicken dish. She stated it was OK but really expected more since it's Gordon restaurant. Nothing outstanding by any means. Now to my dish and the reason I'm giving this review only 1 star. I ordered the Dry Aged Rid Eye Steak....and let me tell you it was awful. It was no more than 1/4 inch thick. But that's not the kicker. When it arrived at the table there was a fly sitting very comfortably on my salad! I immediately pointed it out and they took it away. Not to make me a new one but to "replate" it. At this point I'm being nice because my dear friend was thoughtful and made this reservation for a very special occasion. My plate gets back to me, not even sure if they actually replated or just shoo'd the fly away. Now I asked for my rib eye to be cooked medium rare. The picture below was not even close to what I requested. The bernaise sauce was absolutely flavorless and as you can see rib eye NOT cooked to what was ordered. I mustered down what i could and had some of the super pasty, again flavorless, mashed potatoes that came with the beef wellington. As we were finishing up we were "kindly" offered a complimentary dessert. At this point did not need any more disappointment in the night, so we declined. They never offered to comp my rib eye only removing the tartare and sushi from the bill. I would never recommend this place and will no longer get any joy out of watching any of Gordon's shows. I'm beyond disappointed in this restaurant.

You will definitely need one here during peak times. The service was warm & friendly. Artur was very helpful in answering all of our questions. The lunch menu is limited, but you can also order from the higher priced dinner menu as well. I was mostly amazed by the fact that you get complimentary oysters delivered to your table. My husband is not a seafood fan, so I was fortunate enough to enjoy both of them. These are large & tasty Pacific oysters grown at a farm in Loch Fyne. Delicious! It was such a great starter. I couldn't pass up the half kilo pot (lunch portion) of steamed mussels. These are Scottish rope-grown mussels. I should have ordered a kilo. They were so addicting. The white wine sauce with shallots was perfect. However, I did have a difficult time deciding which sauce to choose. The whisky with smoked bacon also sounded amazing. If I had to say anything negative, it would be to maybe add more bread to soak up the sauce. I probably could have asked for more, but I didn't. That's on me. I really wanted to return to try the Surf & Turf. We just didn't have enough time to do it all. I would go back in a heartbeat. It ended up being a great find. A great experience!

Sunday Roast: All the standards, but fancy. The really differentiator was the beef, which seem aged and very high quality. Great tender texture and nice gravy to go with it. The only weird thing is that the yorkshire pudding seemed to be deep fried. Added an overly crispy texture which as kinda weird; I prefer traditionally baked. Toffee Apple Pudding: More like a bread pudding than a sticky pudding. Filled with great flavor and a few nice baked apples bit on top. Great toffee sauce and ice cream to round it out.
