This was my TikTok guilty pleasure stop of my LA trip and my goodness was I disappointed. On social media, there's tons of people hyping it up, saying it tastes great, is unique, is worth it, is 10/10, etc. but I found the opposite conclusions. You choose the form of food, and then the meat to accompany it. I think a majority of people get burritos, but you pretty much get the same base ingredients no matter what you choose. Based on observation, the burrito seemed to have the biggest mass. I also asked what the most popular meat was, and they said the bacon and sausage, which seemed somewhat telling since Bread & Breakfast is supposed to be known for their Armenian influence. They also have a few locations around North and West LA. - Basturma Bowl $20 for a Jimmy Dean breakfast bowl is straight up hilarious, and the premium air-dried cured New York steak was more like scraps of very salty jerky bits. They didn't even give too much of the basturma! The eggs were overcooked, and the cheese wasn't melted. The sauteed tomatoes just taste plain and chopped. The oily tallow tots were the best part of it, but I barely wanted to finish it due to how salty and disappointing the bowl was. Choose something other than the basturma. - Carne Asada + Bacon Burrito This tasted better than the bowl, but we've had much better carne asada, and again, the eggs were overcooked. They also did not supply much meat in the burrito. Overall, the meats were all scrappy, and it doesn't taste any different than just a run-of-the-mill breakfast burrito. Both of our meals needed their signature sauces for a boost of interesting flavor. The cilantro crema tastes like creamy herbs, and the other sauce was like a very spicy salsa verde - the spice that lingers in pain on your tongue. At least the ice cold tap water was good for the LA heat. For parking, it's a small competitive lot that has 20 minutes temporary parking up front. It took about 15 minutes to get food with only a couple people in front, and I think they do online orders first.
If you're looking for an overpriced, bland breakfast, this place is NOT for you. But if you're craving bold, flavor-packed food loaded with protein and generous portions, you've found the right spot! Every time I eat here, it's absolutely delicious, and I always have enough leftovers to enjoy the next day. The green sauce is a 100/10! I keep telling myself I'm going to buy a bottle to take home, but I always get so distracted by how amazing the food is that I forget. I've even tried the veggie bowl, and it was just as delicious as everything else. I used to go to the NoHo location, so I'm really glad they've expanded and opened a sit-down restaurant because this is the kind of food you want to eat fresh, right away. The service isn't anything fancy--just efficient, friendly, and to the point. Parking is limited, so plan accordingly, especially on weekends. I went on a weekday and had no trouble finding a spot. Go try it and thank me later, Yelpies! After eating here, you won't look at breakfast burritos or bowls the same way again.
This breakfast burrito was delicious! The warm tortilla released a comforting toasted aroma, while the smoky bacon and savory sausage made it irresistibly hearty. Each bite offered a satisfying contrast of textures: crisp, salty bacon, juicy sausage, and soft, fluffy eggs wrapped in a tender tortilla. The rich, savory flavors blended beautifully, with the bacon adding a smoky crunch and the sausage contributing a peppery depth. Filling without feeling overly heavy, it was a wonderfully satisfying way to start the morning. Online ordering was quick and convenient, and the great service made the experience even better. I'd happily order it again!
I'll be the first to say that burritos are usually a let down. Sometimes the rice is dry; other times, the rice is overserved in them. The beans can be too wet, the meat can be fatty, the sour cream can give you the runs, the guacamole can be brown, the tortilla can be too chewy, the salsa can be too watered down...you get it. The basturma burrito is top 2, the other being Testal in Phoenix, which is more Northern Mexican-inspired, so they're both in a league of their own. The meat was so tender and seasoned to perfection; every time I ate it, I thought I'd be diving into an overseasoned flavor, but it stayed perfect every time. The eggs were high quality, and the tots were deep-fried to the point where you get the crunch without the burnt taste or dryness. They give you 2 sauces. I had trouble figuring out which one I liked most, but the traditional salsa verde won because the meat is so tender and juicy that opting for the slightly less liquid sauce serves it best. Just overall a gem.
Stumbled in this place while waiting for my mom to get chemo OMG the breakfast burrito slapped so good I got the veggie burrito and the cilantro Crema is fire and they also give you this other sause it hase minced chili's I was putting both the sauces it was amazing I will definitely be back
Saw this place on yelp with good ratings and I wanted to give it a try. Walking in we were greeted by the lady behind the counter. She gave us time to look over the menu right away. We knew what we wanted.. I ordered the carne asada and bacon burrito. We also ordered a bacon burrito and carne asada bowl. While we waited for our order, I was able to take in all the cute decor signs very quaint. The burritos were excellent. They gave a side of creamy cilantro, salsa that was amazing.. if you are in the area, this is a must try!
4++!Breakfast spot located in a pretty tight stripmall in Burbank and I think they're mostly known for their breakfast burritos - at least that's what me and a buddy came here for based on what we know. The service is friendly and quick. They have to be because this place could get really busy. When we came in it was pretty packed and the vibe here was a bit frenetic but everyone was cool. Once you order you try to stick around till you get your food. Space could get a bit tight here since the place isn't huge and it seems to be wildly popular, especially on the weekends. I got the basturma breakfast burrito (Armenian air-dried cured NY steak and sautéed tomatoes). It was a little bit pricey, but not surprising because it was packed with ingredients and came with sauces. Overall, I really enjoyed the burrito. We parked about a block away because the parking lot here could get pretty tight.
Got to come in here for their birthday celebration and man - this is an excellent taco spot. I normally am not out early enough to do breakfast tacos (or breakfast/brunch in general), but we decided to come in for an early lunch to celebrate. There was a great vibe inside...first, there was a DJ playing and the place was full to the brim. That said, they were handling the orders like champs, and we had our order in within 3 minutes. I got the sausage taco, bacon and asada, and pastrami. These things are big and they put in lots of delicious egg, cheese, and tater tots in with the other meaty goodness. This might be the first time I can say that after three tacos, I was stuffed! I was particularly fond of the asada and bacon and the pastrami, which I understand is slow smoked for 14 hours. We also tried a couple agua Fresca flavors and I mixed em together, which was excellent. I really dug this place, and I love that they even have decent parking too. My wife and I will be back!
Very good breakfast burritos! I got the carne asada & bacon burrito and it was really tasty. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The combination of carne asada and bacon was especially good. Definitely a great spot for a filling breakfast, and I'd come back to try some of their other options.
This is a contender for one of the breakfast burritos in LA. The soujouk burrito, to be exact. Soujouk is described as halal Armenian beef chorizo and it has the perfect savoriness to complement the fluffy eggs and crispy tots. They emphasize that the tots are fried in beef tallow but I personally couldn't taste it because it was all melded in the burrito, although maybe as a side, it would've been more obvious. Basturma is the second-best protein option, although slightly more expensive. The best part about this place is that there's parking in the lot and a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. We had a pretty big order and it came out within 20 minutes. It's a fast casual type of place so you can dine in or take it to go - although if you do, I highly recommend having enough salsa. The cilantro crema is a fan favorite for good reason.
The morning still felt a little rushed when I walked in, which honestly fit the stop perfectly after dropping the kids off at school. I came by Bread and Breakfast for a quick breakfast and ordered the carne asada and bacon breakfast burrito. Overall, it was very delicious and definitely hit the spot. The burrito had good flavor, and the combination of carne asada and bacon made it feel hearty without being too heavy for the morning. My only real note on the food is that I wish the meat had been spread out more evenly through the burrito. A few bites had a lot going on, while others felt a little light, so it would have been even better with a more consistent balance from end to end. Still, the taste was there, and I enjoyed it. Service was fast and very friendly, which made a big difference on a busy morning. That kind of welcome goes a long way when you are trying to grab breakfast and keep moving. I would come back, and my tip for future customers would be to stop in when you need something quick, filling, and flavorful before the day really gets going.
I think I had the best burrito of my life from this place! We randomly ordered burrito from them on doordash and oh my god, it was phenomenal. So yummy and flavorful. The delivery also took less than 30 mins to Glendale!
My husband and I came here for lunch, and I was craving a breakfast burrito, so we decided to try a new spot. I ordered the pastrami breakfast burrito and overall really enjoyed it. The proportions were well balanced, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the tots were crispy and delicious. I was expecting the pastrami to be thicker pieces rather than thin, chopped deli-style meat, but it was still good. The sauces on the side were great, especially the cilantro crema, which really stood out. That said, the burrito was very heavy. We only made it through half of our burritos, and even that kept me full for the rest of the day. It's not at the top of my list, but it was solid, and I'd come back.

I thought breakfast burritos were a dime a dozen, but Bread & Breakfast is next level! The chorizo had so much flavor in every bite, the taters tots were crispy and seasoned, the eggs fluffy, every component that you want in a good burrito, they excelled. Worth the wait and worth the price as one of the best in Burbank read more

I loved the name, and I was very hungry while waiting for my takeout from Arian BBQ, so I decided to grab a little nosh from Bread & Breakfast. Mexican-Armenian breakfast cuisine - imho nothing can go wrong with that kind of cultural combination. I ordered the basturma taco, a pairing I never thought I'd hear. Basturma is a highly seasoned, air-dried, cured Armenian beef, and it was the chef's kiss. The eggs were fluffy, the cheese was oozing, and the beef brought just the right amount of spice. This place really functions as a third space -- there's seating, parking, and it's walkable (I walked). Local contractors were coming in and out, and at one point a young person was sitting there reading a book. A book! Quirky, local, and genuinely interesting -- exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you want to support. I'll be back the next time I'm hungry. I'm curious whether the vegetarian options are just as good as the basturma. read more

Been wanting a good breakfast burrito and we found it. The ratio of egg potatoes and other ingredients was perfect, paired perfectly with the cilantro lime salsa. The tater tots were seasoned perfectly and crispy. The carne asada and bacon sliders were good, in my opinion, the carne asada needed more seasoning and some pico de gallo, would've hit the spot. Located in a shopping center, plenty of parking. Customer Service was great, store is small and provides limited seating. read more

I stopped by during a weekday, and the small parking lot had plenty of spots available. The space itself is small, with a few tables inside. There was no line when I arrived, though they seemed very busy with online orders. I ordered the bacon burrito online and it was ready by the time I arrived. I appreciated the option to have it cut in half since I was sharing it. In every bite I could taste all of the ingredients which was a big plus! read more

Very tasty burrito with hefty ingredients - a load of bacon, scrambled egg, American cheese, and crispy tater tots! Enjoyed the complimentary sauces as well! The staff looked very busy and we were greeted after a couple of minutes. Despite the busy online ordering ambiance, the burritos were really good! read more

Order ahead! Order online and took about 30-40 mins however when we got there, our order was ready and waiting at the front for pick up along with other orders! We ordered 2 bacon bkfst burrito and 1 carne asada & bacon taco. SO GOOD + the free green sauces!! It a was nice lovely surprise! I asked for both burritos to be cut in half but one wasn't. Not gonna complain. Highly recommend for breakfast! We ate outside, it was nice weather. Small parking lot. read more

This location is a great breakfast spot in Burbank. The food portion is good. Not small and not too big. They offer variety of burritos and they have vegetarian ones too. Also, they have juices and coffee too which we ordered coffee. You can order dine in or to go. The interesting thing I noticed about this location that they place all the orders in a bag ready to go which makes it easier to carry. You don't have to go back to cashier and ask for a bah. One of the things that caught my attention was the choice of color. Chairs and tables are yellow which is not very common for cafes/ restaurants. I think it was a great choice. Parking can be tricky since this place is located in the shopping center. Overall, great experience and will be back to try other things. read more
When I came here, I had no idea what to expect. Based on the name, I actually thought that this was going to be more of a sit down full service type of place. I came here based on a recommendation from a friend. The sitting and dining area is very spacious and casual. I love that their walls are covered in their logo. It is so cute. To me, the prices are a bit higher than I expected, but not terrible. Their breakfast tacos were delicious, but on the slightly salty side. I requested hashbrowns instead of the potatoes that are fried. I really appreciate the fact that they have fountain drinks that are refillable. The wait time was a little long, but that also is because there were several takeout orders that have been placed ahead of mine. I would like to come back here again, some time when I have more of an appetite. Free parking is available in their small lot. If it is full, give it a moment. People are constantly coming and going from the different small businesses that are here in this little plaza. read more

Honestly, this was the best breakfast burrito I've ever had!! I've been wanting to try this place forever, and today I finally did and it did not disappoint. The burritos look exactly like the photos they advertise. What you see is truly what you get. I tried the basturma taco and wow... major regret not getting it in my burrito because it was THAT good. And the cilantro crema? Absolutely addictive, it tied everything together perfectly. I 100% recommend this place, and ordering online was smooth sailing from start to finish. read more

Been here a few times now ever since they did a Yelp event for it and it's one of our favorite breakfast taco/burrito spot lately!! Parking lot is tiny, lots of 20 min spots so most people order theirs for take out. The last time we were here, it was packed, incredibly packed lol. We got lucky today where only two other parties were there. Tables are limited but they also have some out front along with bar seating. The service is great, the lady who has helped us every time is super nice and they are very generous with the sauces! They don't have the sauces listed on their menu for some reason but make sure to ask for their chipotle ranch because it's so good with the cilantro Creme! We typically get the tacos but this time I wanted to try their bowl. Insanely good!! Scrambled eggs, choice of meat, cheese, and even TOTS!! I added avocado in mine as well and it was perfection. The tots give it a nice extra texture to all the soft items in the bowl. Super good and absolutely love this place! Worth driving out for. IG: @ammysalamii read more
I was craving a breakfast burrito today and was already on my way to IKEA so this option came up, and oh my goodness, it was meant to be! I ordered a burrito with bacon, mushrooms and avocado, and it was such a stacked burrito to say the least! It had tots, egg and cheese and let's not forget about their sauces! They have two delicious sauces, but the best was the crema cilantro sauce! Chefs kiss! You go here for the burritos for sure! There's some seating inside, a little cramped, but many just picked up their food and left so was able to find a table. There are a couple of tables outside too. Parking is available in the plaza and if that's full, you can always park on the street. Overall amazing burrito joint! read more

I visited bread and breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. Although it was busy my food came out quickly. I had a carne asada and bacon burrito and the tallow tots. The burrito was a good size and definitely shareable. It was also very tasty. My issue was the meat ratio. For a $16 burrito it would have been nice to taste the steak or the bacon. Service was friendly. The store is located in a strip mall so parking is right outside. read more

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Tips: order ahead to avoid long wait. Second time back here after an impressive Yelp event. Ever since then, I've been craving their breakfast burritos. This time, I tried the carne asada and bacon. Luckily, I ordered ahead because I knew from my last visit that they can get really busy. Even with a phone order, I still had to wait about 15 minutes when I arrived. The food did not disappoint, delicious and super filling. Their dipping sauce is a solid 5 stars. Definitely recommended, and I highly advise calling ahead to order! read more
Not bad!! I got the sojoukh breakfast burrito and my boyfriend got the pastrami one. I will say I did not get much of a sojoukh flavor in mine, with a few small pieces. It also did not have much else going on but the cilantro crema and salsa verde that come with the burrito accompanied it well! My boyfriend's pastrami breakfast burrito was more flavorful with more things going on, there was a good amount of pastrami and the avocado in it gave it depth. Parking was very easy in this plaza and there are tables to sit at inside! read more

Stopped by for an early breakfast Sunday and it was relatively busy. Orders are taken at the cashier and there is minimal seating indoors. I assume most people take their orders to go. I ordered the soujok burrito and it was a bit smaller than expected, but the eggs were fluffy and the Armenian chorizo was really flavorful. The chile de arbol salsa and cilantro crema side top off the burrito well. However, for about $20 with tax I felt the burrito was a bit overpriced. All in all it's worth checking out. read more

Get the Mamba Burrito (it's now just called bacon and carne asada). It is absolutely bomb, the bacon and carne asada with the egg and hash browns are perfect, but the green sauce and salsa makes it!! I've tried both locations, and can honestly say this is one of the best burritos. I personally didn't like the Soujouk because the meat was so smashed up it was a bit hard to taste the flavors. I prefer the large chunks of bacon. They have a parking lot out front, and seats inside and outside. If place the order ahead of time you might not have to wait as long for your order, we waited about 15+ minutes. read more

Hankering for a breakfast burrito, so I drove my ass on a Sunday all the way here across 2 freeways because you know I would. It's good there wasn't any traffic, which would've just elevated my hangriness. Spot is easy to find. There's a lot of signage on the street and in front of the shop. Like big signage. Anyway, the place is half full, but people are waiting around. Looks like they've been patiently waiting for a while. I asked the counter guy what was up (I could barely hear him as the phone was practically ringing off the hook and the music was just loud). But apparently, some jackass - probably from one of the studios down the street - ordered 80 burritos. They had asked for an evening delivery, but changed their mind to this Sunday morning instead. Great. Inside it's clean and orderly, but the music is way too damn loud, as stated. I could barely hear the cashier. Turn it down just a little folks! So anyway, cheers to the jackass who probably should've hired a catering company instead. Eff you buddy. Onto the food. Ordered the following: - Carne asada-bacon burrito - 8.5/10: this is a hefty burrito. First bite is stacked with meat and eggs. And the eggs aren't just some quickly overcooked mess, but nicely scrambled and a bit fluffy. They take their time here with these bad boys. This is an excellent burrito, all the way to the last bite. Side note: I don't know about you but the best part of a breakfast burrito - or any burrito for that matter - is the very bottom, where all the juices have accumulated. Second side note - about the area: so this is Burbank, which is like the gateway to the valley and makes home to various entertainment studios, IKEA and not much of anything else. Sitting out here in front eating said burrito, I watched a homeless guy with his sweats hanging down so everyone can see his dirty ass crack sashay across me, people parking right in a handicap spot without any visible handicap disabilities, and some guy obnoxiously yelling into his phone about being lost. Good times in LA :) read more
