Been there three times. Each experience was excellent! Never thought I'd review a body shop, because hey, you never want to have to be there, but these people are really nice, and try hard to help with everything. Everything, you ask? Yes, my car, my quote, but also helping me understand how the insurance company works through the process, as well as getting and returning a rental car that adequately replaces what I have in the shop. I read all the reviews for many, many shops and there were negatives for them all. I put together a short list of the better shops, and put in a claim to my insurance. Brea Auto Body was one of the "preferred" shops for the insurance, and they were on my short list, too. They were great! Prior to learning of Brea Auto Body from a friend I had gone to other collision experts in the area. Those other auto body shops made me feel like just a number and it was all about the dollars. When I went to Brea Auto Body, I was met by the owner (Virginia), who I found was very friendly. The entire staff was wonderful, including Jim Sabel, who helped us with not just one car, but two, that needed collision repair. The work needed, was very detailed in the estimates of what the cost would be. I found the cost of repair for each vehicle to be not overly priced, like in my prior estimates with other companies. Just moved here from IL, got rear ended on the 210 (stop looking at your phone!!!) I'm a "car guy" and know all about the body shop industry. I have to say I was very happy with the job Brea Auto Body did on my car, also Jim was very honest and fair, I was not expecting to find such a good shop so close to my house, my car has a special tri - coat paint (hard to get right), I waited awhile before writing my review to make sure the job was done right. Looks great, car was taken in within 3 days of estimate (took 2 days to get parts) and finished when promised. This is a great family owned business that has been in Brea since I was a little girl (o.k. - that was a while ago). My Dad found this shop over 15 years ago. Look them up, they are so awesome! The owners are the same ones and they really care about people and that their customers are happy. Between my parents and siblings, we have brought many cars and trucks here and have referred many people over the years. All are happy. We really trust the family that runs this place. I am writing because friends don't seem to know that it's your car and you can take it wherever you want. My car was hit and damaged on the freeway. Thought I would take care of the repairs myself, but after months of getting quotes from under $1K to almost $3K I decided to go to my insurance company. I selected Brea Auto Body to do the repairs because of the time that Jim took to explain his estimate and the repair and painting process in detail. I also like the fact that this is a family owned business invested in the surrounding communities. This was not my insurance company's choice of repair shops. They cut me a check for a low amount. Not a problem for Jim. He asked for my signed authorization to work with my insurance company and he got the needed funds to do the repairs. His shop also arranged for my insurance company to pay for my rental car. They had told me I would be paying out of pocket then wait weeks for reimbursement since I wasn't using their preferred shop. Jim called me twice with updates on the progress of the repairs and the car was ready when promised. Can't tell it had a big dent in it. Paint is beautiful. Will definitely be recommending this shop to others, although I hope I don't have to. read more

The restoration of the repairs was good. George and Wendy worked diligently to find new parts instead of used parts. An adjustment was made after the repairs but it was remedied quickly. They have a good system of working together and seems like they have experienced body and fender personnel and pleasant personnel including the owner Virginia which was very pleasant to talk to and concerned. My only complaint was that I was told if I brought in the auto for repair on Monday it probably would de completed by Friday, I concluded that the auto was not worked on until Tuesday because I was informed that they had found additional damage on Tuesday (not unusual because the insurance estimator cannot take the auto apart to look for further damage) and they contacted the wrong insurance person to have the additional damage approved. So the auto was completed on the following Tuesday. I was given a complementary rental auto for 6 days instead of 5 but had to pay for 1 day of the rental due to not starting the work on Monday as stated by Wendy. I also shopped around before taking the auto to Brea Auto Body and 2 shops estimated it would be a 4 to 5 day repair job. That's why I omitted 2 red stars, if the repairs would have been completed by Friday I would have given them 5 red stars. read more

The entire staff at Brea Auto Body treated me like I was family. From the time I walked in the door until I received my car they told me not worry about anything they would handle everything and they did. Jim and his auto body family made sure I knew how the system worked and called me with updates on my car. The car came out beautiful Looking brand new. The reason I choose Brea Auto Body was several years ago I was hit by a golf ball and took it there and they popped it out and did not charge me and I never forgot that. I have had a very stressful time during this time with my insurance company which except for the adjustor were very unprofessional and did not help at all after 30 years so thank goodness I found a diamond in the ruff one mile from my home. I would give Brea Auto Body ten stars if I could cause it is really hard to find people that care about their job enough to show that they actually want to help you and I have to say they are a great place to take your car if you need to. They are the best around and I do not say that lightly -they care and they show and act on it.
